- I was surprised to find out you can make a box cake in the instant pot so i had to try it.. I had made one before but not with a box mix.. I just love my instant pot.. It was pretty easy to make just pick out a cake mix of your choice and make it make sure you have a baking dish that will fit the instant pot..DON"T FORGET TO PUT 1 CUP OF WATER INSIDE THE STEAL POT Put in the pot hit the cake button and that's it 40 minutes late there is a beautiful cake and so moist melts in your mouth.. I just couldn't beleive it.. 40 minutes seemed long but it does free up your oven if your doing some cooking.. would i make it again oh yes i will now I want to see if they other flavors taste as good and moist..
Frosting recipe I used for the cake..
Creamy white frosting
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 cups sifted powered sugar
3-4 Tablespoons milk or water
____________________________________________________
Beat shortening and vanilla
with electric mixer
slowly add half of powered sugar
mixing well
then add 2 tablespoon of milk or water
gradually beat in remaining powered sugar

The instant pot is the best thing you could invest your money in, everything comes out perfect no matter what you make so many recipes on line and on the instant pot app itself

@@loveitloveit122 Love going in thrift stores looking around. You can save so money buy doing so. Down south here in Georgia We have an old school that is called in door yard sale, love going there. Changes every day.

Very cute watching granny’s tutorial. She’s a ahead of the game but she kept calling the instant pot the “oven”. She preheated her “OVEN” to 350” 😆 “Cakes out of the OVEN” 😂 so cute.

You can flour with cocoa powder instead of flour. I do it all the time. That way there's no white on the cake.

Your welcome only difference is put part towel on top of cake and shut the lid absorbs any moisture ☮️✌️👍❤️

Here's a Hint! If you "Flour" your pan try using Coco powder instead of flour to eliminate the "White Floury" mess on the cake.

I saw a couple of cheesecake videos. Water was added to the inner pot for those recipes.
Most cake recipes I've seen so far have you preheat the pot with at least half a cup water in the bottom.

Try lining your pan with strips of parchment paper maybe about 4" wide you won't have to grease and flour the pan :D I'm thinking you may have been right and less time to avoid the splitting? try 35 and then 30 and see if you can get away with it. I just became a Grand Mere in 2018 and I'm thrilled! So fun to see you here.

Donna Noe...have you tried making ice cream with frozen bananas,maple syrup and a little vanilla....easy in a blender and healthy with no added chemicals....goes great with 🍰 cake.

I use black (cold) coffee to enhance the taste of chocolate cake.
I do milk instead of the water, butter instead of the oil, and add an extra egg. So yummy!

Try bakers joy flour spray. It makes the cake from sticking in the pan and doesn't have a dusty flour look on the cake. Cake looks delicious 😋 Great video!

Steamed cake does not have a browned crispy top like oven baked, but it's a good alternative. I've baked a cake using a coffee can in a slow cooker and it turned out spongy soft also.

I waited till there was a big sale for this multi-cooker Instant Pot and did coupon stacking, bought the 6-quart duo for 58 dollars!! I've made spaghetti, hard-boiled eggs, meatloaf with potatoes, a whole chicken. I love this cooker, so handy to have! I did buy a couple sealing rings since I cooked mainly savory dishes and would like to try desserts like this cake recipe.

She didn’t need to , any size and your cake pan has to fit in it. Hers looks like an 8 qt though.
