I make a strawberry chipotle jam that is really yummy! It is a hit when ever I serve it for breakfast! But I think I will try this one just to get that fresh taste from the jalapeños though. I had planned on making a batch this weekend and will be trying this recipe. Thanks for sharing
I know I have heard you speak fondly of Phyllis Stokes and some of her canning items. Sad new her beloved passed July 7th. She's going through a difficult time this month. Just thought I'd let you know. Keep safe.
Leisa these are beautiful! After 40 years of canning, and taking a two year break after losing my husband, I have lost all my confidence.🥺 I am pretty sure I can use any hot pepper, such as a habenero, but wanted to verify with you. Thank you!
That looks like so much fun to make. I have a habit of always heating up a 4oz jar so that if there is a little extra I have a 'sample' size canned. Could you add a link to the recipe, please? It isn't in the 'Show More' section. Thank you for the tip on the jars, I'll look for them.
I'm so sorry! I forgot the link.......lol www.freshpreserving.com/classic-strawberry-jam-%7C-making-strawberry-jam-%7C-ball-fresh-preserving-br1265.html
This looks good, I’m going to make a batch and use it for Christmas gifts, would this jam be good over a block of cream cheese like you do the green pepper jam.
I am not a strawberry jam lover (I go grape lol) but if I was your neighbor you would hear me knocking on your door right about now to take that left over little bit from the bottom of the pot!!
@Suttonsdaze I saw the recipe for cherry jalapeno first, so was lucky enough to find powdered jalapeno at Kroger's tonight. Would one TBSP of that be OK instead of fresh peppers? Thanks for the video!
I made this recipe yesterday and it is yummy. However, it didn't set up very well. Is there a way to fix this... reheat, add more pectin and reprocess maybe? Thanks for any help.
I have a question. My mother use to make a lot of jams and jellies. Always sealed, looked beautiful. Yet they all tasted the same the peach had the same flavor as the grape, as did the black berries. Any ideas as to the cause?
The link to the recipe is bad, and without it, the value of this video is deminished significantly. That's why it's always important to say the amounts of ingredients you're using. You did with the strawberries, and then didn't for everything else.
Yes we love canning 😀❤️
Sweet with heat is my very favorite. Sounds like a great combo!
A friend gave me a jar of her Plum Jalapeno jam last year and it was really yummy. I'm going to have to try this. I'd bet it will be even better.
this sounds good I have tried mango jalapeno jam it made a good glaze for chicken.
Nice!! 👌🍓🌶😋 I must try this soon! Thank you!😍
I will have to make this on the weekend. I still have frozen strawberries left over from last year. I love a little kick in my jam.
This is SOOOOOOOOO good.......lol You'll love it
I'll be trying this today! I have leftover strawberries from my last batch of strawberry jam and this looks soooo good!!❤
This sounds delish.Added to my to do list.

@@SuttonsDaze Thank you so much!❤️
I make jelly with jalapenos using only one small without seeds! Lol
Looks lovely. What would you use this for?
Next you should try cranberry habanero!
I"m waiting on my peppers.....haha
Hummm, Hummm; mouth watering. :-)

Thank you for the video!! Do you think that you could use this recipe and substitute any fruit?
Yes yes yes! :-)
Suttons Daze awesome thank you!

Hahaha, and I would make us a pot of coffee to go with it

This sounds so good. I can't pull up your recipe, is there somewhere i can get it?
I think I will add more strawberries and pectin and sugar.

I made this recipe yesterday and it is yummy. However, it didn't set up very well. Is there a way to fix this... reheat, add more pectin and reprocess maybe? Thanks for any help.
Yes, reprocessing it with more pectin would work.
Cranberry jalapeno jam?
Cranberry jalapeno jelly for Turkey day?
Yes Please!!!!!
Quick question, according to recipe it says to debubble. Did I miss this step?
What happens if you don't water bath jars?
What do you do if you put too much citric acid?
Can I use apple rather than strawberry in this recipe?
I'm sorry I missed it how much Pectin?
I have a question. My mother use to make a lot of jams and jellies. Always sealed, looked beautiful. Yet they all tasted the same the peach had the same flavor as the grape, as did the black berries. Any ideas as to the cause?
Honestly, no clue without knowing how she made them.
@@SuttonsDaze she followed a recipe on either the pectin or a ball canning book
How much sugar ?
How much sugar
The link to the recipe is broken. Where can I find it?
Is there any reason why I couldn't use my sliced and dehydrated jalapenos?
None at all. Without the seeds it will not have the heat though, but the flavor will still be great
Could I use frozen ? Have a lot in my freezer.
Yes
Looks great...link now is unavailable....how much sugar, lemon juice, pectin???
Seriously!! I’ve asked too with no answer 😭 Pity because it’s easy to watch and do but useless without measuring 😳
Link for recipe doesn't work.
They removed it years ago, sorry
