This was my VERY FIRST knitting project. I figured since I knew crochet the concepts weren’t too foreign so I would learn techniques as I went. Her tutorials were a life saver but I felt very confident by the end.
watched this morning with a cup of tea while picking up my left front stitches! :) I also went up a needle size and am so happy with the fabric I’m getting. I agree, such an addictive pattern!!
Found this vlog and KAL at the perfect time!! Decided to challenge myself and casted on Sept 1st, and hopefully finish this by my birthday at the end of the month. Already joined in the round and taking a break to do the collar and sleeves before finishing the body 😊
hi, morgan! i LOVE how genuinely passionate you are about knitting, it's contagious! 🥰 i'm currently working on a project of my own - a super basic blouse that i'm hoping to use this spring. it's a crochet work! hope you have a wonderful week and i'm already looking forward to your next vlog 💚
Cool video to watch while knitting c: especially interesting that it is from so far away. I am knitting my first sweater ever (pattern from Polish knitter) and it is going to be a green cardigan with white flowers made on crochet so I call it meadow sweater :)
definitely feeling better, thank you! can’t wait to film those this week ☀️ I found it so funny while editing that I was bundled up one day and sitting outside in a tshirt the next 😂
I've seen so many post about the Salty Days sweater. I bought the pattern and hope to make my own later this month. I am currently working on the Madeleine Sweater by Knitting for Olive. This vlog was so soothing!
That color is so cute!, I’d love to cast on a peach colored one soon. Even though it’s almost fall I don’t care lol I love fun colors. Right now I’m working on some socks, I needed a little break from my cardigan knit lol but knitting is so good for the mental health even though it can get a little frustrating sometimes
omg a peach salty days sounds so fun! 🍑 it’s so valuable to switch between projects - I’m very much a mood knitter & knit on whatever my mojo is inspired by!
Love your color you chose! I am also using Knit Picks highland wool in the heathered color Icicle. Had the same issue as you and made a few swatches and also went to a 5.5 mm needle. Happy knitting!
me too, I’ve definitely learned to embrace it!! I just mean as beginners we can lose all motivation and think we can’t do it but it’s really just part of the process!!
I'm working on making solid squares for the Battenberg Blanket, it's my potato chippy crochet project when I need a break from knitting! Love the yarn you're using for Salty Days!
This was such a fun project vlog! I’m not participating in the kal but am very much enjoying seeing everyone’s projects. I watched while knitting on my Ranuncukus sweater 🖤
currently finishing off the collar of my porcelain sweater! i'll be able to block it before finally working on the sleeves, i can't wait to try my new shorties set for the sleeves😍😍
I have been knitting on a new test knit shawl while watching 😊 My Salty Days Sweater has not been touched for few days. I have done the back yoke and now it’s time to pick up for the shoulder 😊
Working on my Silver Lining by Jennifer Steingass while watching this and it's very much a hyperfixation knit! I've only got most of a sleeve to go so I'm planning to block it by this day next week. I find it very poetic that my first knitted jumper took 6 months and my second will take 6 weeks!
I’m frantically trying to finish up my June Top that has literally taken me all summer. I’m knitting it with two strands of reclaimed cotton yarn that keeps getting tangled and I had to frog it after I got halfway through the body because it was too big. This is my first adult garment so I’m excited to get it done.
@@morganunraveled Thanks! I'm so close to being done I can almost taste it. I keep having to stop to untangle my yarn as I'm doing the i-cord edges though lol.
Hi Morgan, I want to cast on my Salty Days this week. ISomeone brought me some Drops Air from Germany that I plan to use. I am in South Africa, also sharing Spring with you and we are going through a cold front with 12 degrees weather and some snow!!! Brrrr.
I’m so excited you’ve cast on, I hope you enjoy it & that it warms up for you soon. we had a random cold front too after warming up for a bit but we’re past it now!!
Working on the Amy Sweater by PetiteKnit while watching this since I bulldozed my way through this KAL lmaooo it was sooo much fun and even though I'm done, I keep on popping into the groupchat to see all the diff projects and colors xD
that’s so awesome!! I’m actually still stunned at how quick yall knit this sweater! your support in the chat esp with the chart c issues has been sooo appreciated and helped me so much! 🥲🫶🏻
Wow, you are very quick with this sweater! I'm curious why do you transfer the live stitches to a stitch holder cord instead of just unscrewing the needles and put the stoppers on the ends?
Currently working on a shawl, specifically Wisdom of the Moon by Liz Capik! I attended a new knitting/spinning club, and my goal is to finish in time for next months meeting..... it's a stretch, but not impossible ;P
ill have to attempt this later as im recreating a top in the german herringbone stitch, his is second attept as no size pattern, just had to count eah n row.
I apologize if this info gets to you too late, BUT…. Stitch markers saved my life when I knit this sweater last year!! It really helps to keep track of the diamond chart when working in the round!!!
Me halfway through my Salty days sweater I cast on last week finding out there’s a KAL out there with 150 other people knitting exactly what I am: 😮 We all have fantastic taste and timing apparently lol
I’m not knitting this sweater, but I am knitting my first ever knit flat beanie! Making it as a gift for a good friend ❤ if anyone has any tips or tricks for knitting in the round please help me! I cannot get it for the life of me. I’ll even follow videos but I just can’t seem to get it 😢
I watched nimble needles video on knitting in the round. the trickiest part is the first few rows, and making sure your cable is the right length, not too long!
hi cozy friends! let me know what’s helping you unravel lately & if you are participating in the Salty Days KAL! 🐚✨
I cast off my salty days this weekend but more than happy to watch along ❤
This was my VERY FIRST knitting project. I figured since I knew crochet the concepts weren’t too foreign so I would learn techniques as I went. Her tutorials were a life saver but I felt very confident by the end.
I love that, so inspiring!! 🫶🏻💫

that sounds so cozy ☕️🧺🐚 thank you for unraveling with me & participating in the KAL!
Having a great time with this knit-along! Thank you so much for hosting it! ❤
that’s amazing to hear, thank you!! 🫶🏻🐚
Found this vlog and KAL at the perfect time!! Decided to challenge myself and casted on Sept 1st, and hopefully finish this by my birthday at the end of the month. Already joined in the round and taking a break to do the collar and sleeves before finishing the body 😊
that’s so cool, my birthday is at the end of this month too! would love to see your progress on #SaltyDaysKAL!!🐚🥰
this is so fun & cozy! I'm gonna be starting a sweater soon using a 80/20 acrylic/wool blend so i was happy to see you are too :)
very soft & fun to work with, loving it! but am curious to see how it wears & holds up over time!
@@morganunraveled yes me too. All fibers have their benefits and drawbacks. It’s also my first sweater so I don’t want to spend too much on yarn! 😆😆☺️
@amswimmer totally valid!!

that’s so cool 🌼 thank you for knitting with me! where are you watching from? 🫶🏻
Im doing the cinema sweater right now. I love @kutovakika and her super easy patterns. This and the love letter top are next on my list.
I love her & her designs so much as well, hope your cinema is going well! 🥰
Awesome video! Hope you’re feeling better. Looking forward to seeing the surprise knit, yarn haul and plans videos!
definitely feeling better, thank you! can’t wait to film those this week ☀️ I found it so funny while editing that I was bundled up one day and sitting outside in a tshirt the next 😂
When you showed the brandon sanderson book I almost screamed! Listening to Warbreaker while i knit. Best author
that’s so awesome!! we have similar book tastes 😌📚
I cast on the Anker's Sweater from PetiteKnit ☺ Your Salty Days Sweater looks so stunning 🤩
thank you!! omg that one looks so fun!
I've seen so many post about the Salty Days sweater. I bought the pattern and hope to make my own later this month. I am currently working on the Madeleine Sweater by Knitting for Olive. This vlog was so soothing!
oh that sounds soo lovely 🥰 thank you for watching!!

I love knitpicks wool of the andes! I used it for my book club cardigan! happy knitting xx
I don't think the mistakes ever stop. I'm 15+ years in and still frog back all the time!
me too, I’ve definitely learned to embrace it!! I just mean as beginners we can lose all motivation and think we can’t do it but it’s really just part of the process!!
I love the yarn you chose 🐋🐚 I have been obsessed with working on this project! Literally haven’t wanted to do anything else lol
omg same 😂🐬🐚
I'm working on making solid squares for the Battenberg Blanket, it's my potato chippy crochet project when I need a break from knitting! Love the yarn you're using for Salty Days!
that sounds fun!!
I love when you put in a clip of your coffee because it always reminds me to take a drink of mine that I've forgotten about 🤣🤣
hahah always gotta capture those aesthetic moments before I sip mine 😂☕️
This was such a fun project vlog! I’m not participating in the kal but am very much enjoying seeing everyone’s projects. I watched while knitting on my Ranuncukus sweater 🖤
thank you 🫶🏻 omg I can’t wait to knit the ranunculus v soon, I already have my yarn for it!! 🧶
wow you're knitting so quickly, this pattern definitely sounds addictive! wishing you the best of luck and hoping you feel better now 🥰
thank you!! I’ve definitely slowed down now but I was having sooo much fun & was super motivated in week one haha 🥰🐚
This looks so beautiful 😍 I love your yarn choice 🎉
thank you 🥰🐚
My yarn is arriving tomorrow. I can't wait to join you all! 💕
ahhh can’t wait to see it! 🐚🧶✨
currently finishing off the collar of my porcelain sweater! i'll be able to block it before finally working on the sleeves, i can't wait to try my new shorties set for the sleeves😍😍
oh my gosh that is so exciting 🥰😍
I’m knitting the Smilla sweater but the salty days is definitely on my list for future projects ❤
that is a gorgeous design!!
It is 9 pm in Colorado. I am in sockville for a time. I have 7-9 to knit for upcoming birthdays. I look forward to joining a KAL next year.
I have been knitting on a new test knit shawl while watching 😊 My Salty Days Sweater has not been touched for few days. I have done the back yoke and now it’s time to pick up for the shoulder 😊
that’s valid, it’s nice to take breaks & work on it when the mojo comes 🥰
Knitting the Salty days sweater as we speak! I love it. I am a relatively new knitter. Just the right amount of difficulty
that’s amazing!! it’s a fun challenge 🐚🫶🏻✨
Working on my Silver Lining by Jennifer Steingass while watching this and it's very much a hyperfixation knit! I've only got most of a sleeve to go so I'm planning to block it by this day next week. I find it very poetic that my first knitted jumper took 6 months and my second will take 6 weeks!
it really can be like that! my first cardigan took a year, my second a couple months - and both were cabled?! 😂😮💨
I am currently working on the Stick Season sweater by Rebecca Clow! This is my first pullover sweater so I am super excited!
omg that’s so exciting!! you can do it! I hope you enjoy the process 🫶🏻

I hope you are proud of it when it’s done!! frogging is part of the learning process but can be so discouraging! you’re doing amazing!
@@morganunraveled Thanks! I'm so close to being done I can almost taste it. I keep having to stop to untangle my yarn as I'm doing the i-cord edges though lol.
Love your colour choice for the sweater. I might join the KAL, but currently have too many VIPs on my needles 😅
totally valid! I do too tbh but I’m having a great time so no regrets 😅😂

Wow, you are very quick with this sweater!
I'm curious why do you transfer the live stitches to a stitch holder cord instead of just unscrewing the needles and put the stoppers on the ends?
because I have a limited amount of cables and its also really easy to do and allows me to have more wips hehe
I am working on The Love Letter Top by the Veronika Lindberg, it is such a fun knit and a bit of a challenge as well.
that one seems sooo intimidating!!
Currently working on a shawl, specifically Wisdom of the Moon by Liz Capik! I attended a new knitting/spinning club, and my goal is to finish in time for next months meeting..... it's a stretch, but not impossible ;P
that is so fun, it’s amazing to find a community & friends with the same passion!! 🥰

I wish you the best of luck!! thank you for being here :)
Currently watching this while on the second sleeve of the Cinema Sweater by Veronica Lindberg Kutovakika.
omg love that design! literally all of her designs are chefs kiss!
I want to do a knit along! How do you find these to participate in? I’ve seen a few salty days sweaters and they look soo good I want to make one
usually on Instagram, but I am hosting the Salty Days KAL! 🤍🐚
I apologize if this info gets to you too late, BUT…. Stitch markers saved my life when I knit this sweater last year!! It really helps to keep track of the diamond chart when working in the round!!!
stitch markers really do save lives 😂💫
🍀
Currently knitting on the So Sporty Socks by KeenWhale for my mom. Had to rip back because my stitches wouldn't line up for the folded over cuff 😥
oh no! hope it goes better next try!
I really want to do this project ! I’m wondering if it’s intermediate?😄
definitely intermediate, but a fun challenge 🥰🐚
made it to chart B!!!!
omg yaaaay! happy cabling xx
I would love to do this KAL but I already have 7 projects going 😂
oof valid!! next time 🫶🏻
What categories would you classify boho or cottagecore or whimsigoth styles?
