I really enjoyed the rawness of this video filming. Finishing a sweater in 40-50 hours is really impressive. Great job, and I hope to see more videos like this one.
Have you tried making "cowboy" coffee? When I went camping with my husband, I boiled water with some grounds of coffee for a few minutes, then I took the pot off from the fire and let the water calm down and let the grounds settle to the bottom. Pour the coffee slowly into a mug. It turned out great!
I love the sweater! It looks gorgeous. I think it would be a good video idea to teach how to knit the lace stitches. I have been watching your knitting videos and I love them all. But this is my favourite. Sending love and wishes for 2022. 😘❤️
This was SO FUN to watch. Loved every minute of it! Good lighting or not this was one of my favorites of yours. Thank you for doing this. The sweater is BEAUTY- FULLLLLL!!! Yes, I want to see more !!!
Your knitting videos are so addictive, it's almost 12am in the UK right now and I'm watching this video! 😁 Edited to say that I can't wait for your book!
i'm doing a similar challenge for myself! I've always wanted to do a sweater, but have been too scared to start one because i know it's a long project and I usually gravitate towards shorter ones. I started a crochet cardigan a 3 days ago and i've already completed the front 2 panels. I'm currently working on the back panel after a day's rest for my hand that was too sore to do much yesterday. I have the sleeves, pockets, and collar pieces left after this! I'm very nervous but totally sticking to my guns :) I'm glad you posted this it helped keep my motivation high! Happy New Year Kika.
it's also comforting and validating somehow to see u go back and make changes in your design, bc it didn't quite fit how you wanted - that's always the most frustrating part of a creative process for me. it's nice to see your entire knitting process (and i'm knitting right now! knitting along with your video)
Loved the more intimate talkative style of this video! Felt like we were friends getting updates on your knitting progress as it happened. Also would love to her you speak some finnish in one (or more) of your videos sometime! Even if its just a word or a phrase here and there I know I would like that :) . As always I loved this video of yours, so excited for your book as well! I will be first in line to buy a copy!
Yay thank you so micj for watching and for your encouraging words, it’s so valuable to hear feedback like this 🥰 and haha yes I’ll make a note of it and make sure to include some more finnish in my vids 😀
Im sooooo in love with your white double collar sweater that you wore with the overall at the beginning!!! Can you please make an instruction/tutorial video about that one!!?? Thank you so muchh 💖💖
Yes. I search a video with the tutorial for the sweater in the beginning of this video, too. Please some tutorials for easy knitting sweaters for beginner’s 😅😊
Extreme knitting! I was terribly impressed by your ability to problem solve things that weren't going as planned while exhausted. The end result was beautiful.
I just found you and watched this WONDERFUL video!!!!! Immediately subscribed and will begin watching your other videos. This sweater is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Can’t wait for the pattern!!!!!!!! Love your enthusiasm and humor!!!
Such a beautiful and lacy look on top and oh so pretty on you!!! I am not a knitter but I want to be. I am scared of trying because I am not very good in math. I am sure it takes a lot of calculations to do a sweater like that. You looked so happy knitting and you fur babies are beautiful! You are just a joy to watch as you knit! Ginger in Colorado USA
I loved this video Kika! I've only just discovered your channel and I've been busy binge watching it all. Your energy and creativity is so infectious, I just can't help smiling while I watch your videos. I wanted to soak myself in creativity for the start of 2022 and finding your channel has enabled me to really get immersed in all things creative. Thankyou for being such a wonderful human being xx
The finished sweater is so beautiful, I’m looking forward to your book being released. I’m also feeling inspired to see if I can knit a sweater in 24/48 hours too ☺️
I love that you do crazy undertakings like this or knitting your wedding dress. My personality is similar: when you're in it, you ask yourself why do you do this to yourself but at the end it's worth the challenge. Loved it.
I stumbled across your podcast this morning. What fun, watching you attempt the 24 hour sweater. I think you did amazing. Loved seeing the countryside and the peacefulness of the snow. Thank you so much for brightening the morning. i will be binge watching your previous podcasts for the rest of my day. xx
I love the realness and rawness of this video. Vlogstyle. If you feel up to it, make this a returning thing every season 😉. And see how much progress you get.
That is so valuable to hear, thank you for the comment and feedback. Yeah I really enjoyed this vlog/ follow along format and I think I’ll definitely do more of these in the future 😍
For the sore finger problem: you can buy silicone “finger cots” online. I use them with plain bandages, because I’m allergic to adhesive. But they are often used for people who need a little bit of a padding on a joint or a fingertip. They’re completely washable and reusable, and if you need them to go over a joint, you just trim the end. They come several to a package and in various sizes.
Sooo much fun to watch - I could have not done the 24 hour thing without falling asleep. And you started late in the day! Yes please, more of those. Can't wait for your book.
I cannot wait for your book! I just discovered you, and already want to make 2 of your designs! keep up with the great work! love the challenge videos. I love to quantify too.... you are a total inspiration!
You are amazing, thank you for such an honest video of some of what's involved in designing and knitting a new jumper design. Kindest regards from N lreland
Dear Kika, I watched this video last night and I think you were really brave to set yourself in such a challenge. Well done!!! The jumper is really nice and you're very delightful to listen and watch. Happy new year! 🌹
I loved you video so much- you showed exactly how knitting is! We knitters always try to find stolen moments with artificial light when we need to! I have never thought to do this kind of challenge but it seems really fun and I think I'll try it one day. Your sweater is absolutely gorgeous!!
Fun,fun, fun I really enjoyed this podcast. It’s so hard to knit a sweater in a week so in 24 hours, so difficult. Loved the snow! I live in hot Texas where snow rarely falls.
Totally gorgeous and just love your ability to make changes along the way. Looking forward to your book and will definitely want to knit this sweater. Thank you for sharing with the world 🌻🌼🌞
Fun video! I have never challenged myself to a full 24 hour knitting marathon but have occasionally decided to stay up and knit all night just to sew how far I could get. 🙃 so my last half (12 hour) marathon was 12/22/20 and I finished 6 pairs of mittens and 3 hats. Love your sweater design and look forward to the release.
Hola Kika! I've been watching your video playlists while I do some gift knitting myself. I really appreciate that even though you jump on board with these challenges, you keep it really real and show us what is possible and realistic for you to do. I am in my infancy stages of garment knitting so anything less than a week to finish a sweater is amazing. Nevertheless, I love watching your videos! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey while making this sweater! :) It was so unjoyable to watch and knit with you. It turned out so beautiful and feminine! I'm so excited to see your patterns when your book is released. :)
Awesome video. I loved your process. Marathon knitting isn't advised for prolonged success, but I love the finished product. Thank you for sharing your skill and designs with us. I love the extra shots of your life, scenery and kitty. God bless and good health. I
Really enjoyed your video! I had a smile on watching as you “worked” through all the details of the sweater. As a long-time knitter I truly appreciate what you experienced during this challenge. As one who lives with a graphic designer I appreciate your video editing. Extremely well done! I hope 2022 brings you joy and happiness!
This is such a lovely jumper. I look forward to your book being published. Loved this video too, really nice to see the time it takes to progress through a sweater even for an experienced knitter. Although I know it’s about the process and enjoying the peacefulness I often feel like it’s not going fast enough.
Can I just say I'm so excited about your book. I love so many of your sweaters. Only downside is I don't make many sweaters because I live in a very hot climate. I'd love some summer top videos!
Hey Kika, I love this video, and the jumper. It was really cool how you adjusted the pattern when it wasn’t what you had hoped it would be, I found that very inspiring. Can’t wait until your book comes out!
So frustrating. I want to make a sweater, but you are teaching me that it's not so simple. I think I'll start with something simple. Simple for me is probably plain. You do beautiful work, but you know how to correct your mistakes, or change the design. I am not there yet, but appreciate that you show all the stages of your creative endeavors. It shows me a lot about the process. Makes me less afraid of it. Thanks for showing it all.
Hi! I just stumbled on your account and I'm enamored! Your knitting tips video came first, but this one really sold me. Your bright energy and joyful personality is so comforting, and I love the inventiveness of your designs, which is really inspiring me to try designing my own patterns! My partner and I learned to knit just last summer, and we've both taken to it so quickly & have found a great passion in the craft. I'm so excited to watch more of your videos; both your approach and general sunny, genuine vibe is so energizing : -) I feel recharged in my own projects already!
It was so so fun. And I really admired your great patience and oh!!! Envied how fast you clicked away with your fingers. And oh poor me... I m not able to work with no pattern, explanations, etc. Well done. Beautiful. Looking forward to your new project.
Happy New Year. This would be an easy challenge for me since I only sleep three hours a night. No naps. Bedtime is 2:30 and wake up at 5:30. No snooze alarm on dogs that need to go out or hungry cats . I crochet at least 14 hours a day so I think I’d be fine with a 24 hour crochet challenge. 😂🧶🧶🧶 Your sweater is beautiful. I think if you just made a knit / purl style you would have finished. I knit my boyfriend a sweater vest in 20 hours.
Wow I envy you, I wish I could knit for 14 hours a day 😍 I haven’t made any crochet projects in a long time but really feel like it 😀 and yes, I also think if I would’ve done a sinple purl or stockinette stitch sweater I could’ve finished in 24 hours 🤞🏼🧐
hey i haven't quite finished the video yet, but i just wanted to say - i really love your videos! i love how chirpy and vibrant you are, and i loved the gorgeous shots of the snowy landscape in this video. i saw u wearing this sweater in another video, and i wanted to ask for the pattern - to my grief (and a testament to your skill), i've now learned that you made the pattern! it's beautiful

Really love your taste, you are a very talented lady. Well done 👏🏻😊🇬🇧 PS The finished result was amazing. You have whetted my appetite to start knitting again.
Loved this video. A marathon knit isn’t pretty. When I design knitwear, I often rip out because my vision doesn’t always look the same in reality. It’s part of the creative process. A tip when pulling your project off the needles to rip out. Use a full mm size smaller needle to pick up your stitches and then knit off that needle using the correct needle size. Absolutely loved your video. Your enthusiasm is infectious......so much so, that I am going to start a knitting project right now! The one skill I want to perfect though, is the 'picking' method of knitting as opposed to the 'throwing' method I was taught. I believe it is a much faster method of knitting so that will be my 24 hour challenge 😃. Thank you for your lovely videos.

You bring a smile to my face watching your videos.... Keep up the amazing work, the quality of your videos is top notch. Big hugs from Ireland.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words Joanna, and for the feedback on the jumper 😃 yup ripping up work can be such a struggle mentally 😩 and sometimes I also will just let small errors be in the piece but here I was so committed to make it as gorgeous as I can, amd was probably also more motivated to get the final result as good as can be since I was filming the entire thing 😬😀
I loved this video so much! I don't even mind that it was artificially lit a lot, I'm here for the wholesome and happy vibes, the lighting isn't the most important thing for me 😁 Keep making these awesome videos!
You have quickly become one of my favorite youtubers! :) Your beanie tutorial got me back into knitting and now I am currently working on the Sunday brunch sweater while watching this. I'm super excited to see your future videos. Best wishes!
I really enjoyed the rawness of this video filming. Finishing a sweater in 40-50 hours is really impressive. Great job, and I hope to see more videos like this one.

I love the sleeve increase/decrease detail. Very impressive and the yoke is stunning🥰👍🏼
Wow! That is so so pretty and I loved how you finished it off.
Totally gorgeous and just love your ability to make changes along the way. Looking forward to your book and will definitely want to knit this sweater. Thank you for sharing with the world 🌻🌼🌞

You hooked me and got me to subscribe! Great sweater.. I never thought to knit in the sauna.. I would of thought it would effect the wool.
Well done! I love your finished jumper. I knitted a simple vanilla sweater in 15 days and I thought that was quick! You did so well 👏👏
Oh my goodness, I absolutely love the finished result! It's so pretty. 💕
Wonderful sweater and to see coming it together so quickly was so much fun to watch.

Stunning 😍. Really enjoyed watching the process. 😊
J'adore vos vidéos! Votre énergie! Et votre authenticité tout au long du processus! Bravo à vous pour ce challenge!!!
I love your sweater!! Thank you for sharing the beauty of the snow and your Family.

I love this video. You are so talented and give me confidence in knitting which I just started back after many years. Love the sweater beautiful.
hey i haven't quite finished the video yet, but i just wanted to say - i really love your videos! i love how chirpy and vibrant you are, and i loved the gorgeous shots of the snowy landscape in this video. i saw u wearing this sweater in another video, and i wanted to ask for the pattern - to my grief (and a testament to your skill), i've now learned that you made the pattern! it's beautiful
Hi Kika! I recently came across your channel and just love your cheeriness and fun insights in the world of knitting! Thanks for spreading so much joy and inspiration, now all I want to do is curl up by the fire and knit away :)
How fun! I still found this very visually pleasing in a different way. I was skeptical if I’d like that pattern but it came together really well.
Gorgeous sweater. Really enjoyed the video and your two kitties are sooo adorable
This was great fun to watch your process! And the result is fabulous!!!
Not just beautiful scenery and knitting but absolutely gorgeous kitties too. They are SO adorable.
So pleased I found your channel a couple of days ago - binge watching your videos.
Really love your taste, you are a very talented lady. Well done 👏🏻😊🇬🇧
PS The finished result was amazing. You have whetted my appetite to start knitting again.
Hi! 10 years ago I stayed 3months in Finland for an Erasmus and I loved the knit in sauna idea!!!
The needle that you knit onto set the gauge of the stitch.
You might already know this, but I thought I’d share.
What a refreshing knit video! So fun.
You amaze me! How you can knit and design as you go (when needed). Beautiful sweater. Buying your book today. Thank you!
The most amazing project - love the lacy look- thanks
Well done 🥳! Amazing work 👏👏👏! I'm a beginner knitter, so your challenge was very inspiring! Looking forward to your book being released 💞.
I absolutely love your videos, and really enjoyed this challenge, you are inspiring - It was encouraging to see how you coped with the little issues along the way - I sometimes get disheartened if I am working on a project and never consider ripping back to correct an error. You were still as bubbly as ever, after 24 hours knitting, I don't know how you managed it. The sweater (or as well it in Ireland.. Jumper) was stunning ... I actually thought it could have worked with a shorter sleeve,. But your finished product was stunning. Removing the rib at the end was a really good idea.
I love your videos. You are such a likable person. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Love the slit. Love the sweater. You are fun to watch.
You are SO much fun. Great to see a challenge like this!
It's absolutely beautiful! I love the split hem.
Loved this !! Fun and what a fantastic design you compleated ! 🤗🥳
Fabulous solution for the hems, love the design.
I looooove this video! Great work! You inspired me to start knitting :)
