@cheggers1973 never seen anyone mod the bodyshell like that to keep the mud out, and using margarine tubs is genius ! The fact it makes the shell stronger too is a nice bonus Also loved how you removed the anodising with hot water and sink unblocked! And polished with autosol...came out looking amazing 👏

I don't know if you have the MJX 16207 3S as well, but the stock wheelie bar is a complete fail, just a slightly hard hit on either side and the screw holes on it are torn out. I figured out how to upgrade and modify this so that it does not happen. The same mod will also work for the MJX 14210 wheelie bar.
I've not had my wheelie bar break or any problems with the screws yet on this Truggy. Possibly due to less crashes due to a lower setup..I'm sorry yours has failed on you chap!.
@@cheggers1973 The MJX 16207 wheelie bar is longer than the 14210 wheelie bar, so I am going to modify it with a piece of shock spring so that it can move in all four directions during future side impacts, but still be solid enough to help stop the buggy from doing too many standing backflips on 3S. In stock form it is just going to keep ripping the screw holes out and fall off. I think all the MJX 16207 owners have experienced that the 16207 wheelie bar in stock form was made to fail.
Great video mate, with some awesome tips your one looks mint. I have the same truggy and have added 15mm hub extenders like yours i have also got asjustable aluminium steering tie rod arms. I have just ordered the steering servo after seeing the video and link that you put on and will be getting the other aluminium steering linkages 😊. Keep up the awesome work and that car is a credit to you. Did you put up a video of how to strip the car to get to the diffs and was it easy

i spray 3in1 oil on the moving bits, wipe with a cloth and then I spray WD40 on a 50mm paint brush and paint everything, the plastics love it and it looks brand new when it dry's off.. thanks For Watching!
Yes chap, fill the diffs with the Red Tacky Grease, and the outer gear, it gives a noticeable stability in the diff and translates to better forward drive, and more grip and traction when it's leaning over cornering... my friend Wilf, has his diffs full of grease..it's better than mine on solid surfaces...and better than it was on loose surfaces.. mine with 500k silicone oil in my diffs makes it a bit of a handful on tarmac and the like...it wants to drift.. which I like.. hope that helps Chap!

@@skylinecollector the Red grease is not thick enough to worry about modifying front or rear... it will handle lovely with grease in both chap... I may return to that setup in the future, it's a good mod that's a all-rounder.. less spin on the inside,unloaded wheel,better drift,better straight line with no apparent detriment to steering.. pack em full chap...

@@StudyConcentrate-y1z you can use any grease, but it won't offer much resistance to limit the slip of the diff, it's not thick enough.... But it will lubricate it just fine.
@@feverexplosion1968 if you only intend to use it on loose surfaces then 1 million weight is ok because you have almost permanent equal 4 wheels drive.. great for sliding and drifting without the inside wheels expanding and taking away the power from the outer wheels with actual grip... On tarmac roads, having 1 million weight locked diffs means the slightest turn will make the inside wheels spin faster than the car is moving due to the inside wheels taking a tighter radius, and the weight being on the outer wheels. And so not gripping at that point.. more sliding like the locked rear axel of a GoKart for example..

Great rig and video. Iv fitted the metal suspension arms , hubs front and rear after snapping the front hub. Now the front wheels have alot of negative camber. Would u say this is normal or possible an issue with the front upper arms . Or are they naturally cambered in?? I got the same aluminium parts as you. But my front wheels are in alot more then yours.
Cheers Chap!..., the alloy parts from serious-Rc come as you see them with the silver coating, the camera has the effect of making them look simular to the polished rod and shocks.

If you mean the 14210 and the H14BM, they are the same speed same car apart from slightly different shell and the H14BM has a slow mode,eco mode.. the 14210 comes in full power mode..

The travel is the same as it was chap!
Weird, I just installed the AL parts and the travel seems significantly less 🤔
also did you add the firming coils of the shocks ?
or just removed the blackness from the OEM coils ?

How come the diff holder not aluminum? The case that hold the motor pinion and differential?

Did the upgrades help the squirrelly handling? I bet the weight keeps it from flipping as much.
Everything I have done to it has improved it chap.
Mine has a really bad delay in thr transmitter gonna be the second upgrade my first was a drag bar made from carbon fiber

Yes you can, it will have more locking effect...... But that's not nessasaryly better.

On tarmac roads, having 1 million weight locked diffs means the slightest turn will make the inside wheels spin faster than the car is moving due to the inside wheels taking a tighter radius, and the weight being on the outer wheels. And so not gripping at that point.. more sliding like the locked rear axel of a GoKart for example..
