You can never go wrong carrying 8 really large Zip-Ties taped to the frame somewhere. Tubeless while good, can be pain in the arse if the bead breaks and you're not carrying a tube. At low speed you can ride for miles with Zip-Ties holding the tyre to the rim. Otherwise the damn tyre rolls off the rim sooner or later. 😄
Are you still impressed with the 450, Derek? I am thinking about selling my DRZ400 and buying one of these new MT 450 by CFMoto. I dont need to do hard, single track enduro riding anymore. Just hit 70 and prefer to ride easier trails and the 450 seems to be a more than capable steed. Any hiccups with your 450? Appreciate your comments and experiences so far.All seems very positive on lots of forums. thanks Martin
@@martinbramston2244 all I can say is DO IT... The CFMoto is way better than its spec sheet and price tag would indicate. The only hiccup I've had was a bit of water in the down tubes which I cured in about 2 minutes with a 3mm drill.. otherwise it's making me smile every time I ride it
@@chrisb9156 yes I'm running tubes due to no tubeless options for the tyres I like.. Ive never bothered with rimlocks.. ridden all over the country and never spun a tyre
You're probably aware, these days they make no tool removable/reusable zip ties. Get yourself some next time your at Bunnings. That way, you can reuse them should you need to take out those tyre levers.
@@nevillegreg1 thanks for the heads up.. I'll do that I just figured I'd chuck them in my pocket or backpack to get me home in a pinch .. but your idea is heaps better 👍
@@Chris_Z. That would be handy I've always gotten away with a stick or some rocks on my drz and my Transalp had a centre stand.. may look into something for this bike in the future 👍
Derek, save your old retired arms and ditch the hand pump for a couple of co2 canisters/cartridges and attachment that will fit easily under the seat.

Hi Derek, are you happy with the higher seat?
Yes very much so
I'm 6'2 and I fit much better now and the comfort is much the same.
@@derekandleonie5636Thanks, that's great to know. I'm also 6.2, so this looks like a must have...

Need a trail stand to prop the bike up when removing the wheel.
