Very well executed and a great looking result! I did a couple hundred calipers (customer cars) and know about the time consuming tape job. But it's worth every minute, because it improves the quality a lot. For uni-colors I prefer to tape less and use a brush. But for candy there is only one way to go. #allThumbsUp 👍😎👍

love your work, I always seem to end up on your vids when doing my research and there is always something informative. What I like is you explain and demonstrate so the average person can understand. I have no experience in painting and asked someone that was supposedly the best to spray my bike, halfway through the spray job he just refused to finish my bike cause he realised that I was actually customising my bike and didn't like the idea cause I was seen as I threat or competition. I'm currently trying to learn as much as I can from UA-cam and your vids help a lot. only problem is I trying to match what he has done so far by using rustoleum, came very close to making the pearl white but no success as the Rustoleum 2x Gloss white and rustoleum glitter had a reaction and cracked when drying... and I don't think I can buy the paint in Rattle can here so will have to wait till I get a compressor. Keep up the good work and I liked and subscribes.

Interesting, I do plan to do a brake overhaul soon. Might be worth when the calipers are off to paint them.
I used the Metalcast purple with their silver base for my front strut brace and it came out amazing, will definitely be doing the callipers next with this method they came out really nice
Was that the dupli-color brand, or this brand? because I’m trying to do the same but I want to find a black primer so I can put the sticks on the black primer and paint over it in red
Should you and is it required to use high temp primer, paints and clears? Also which is a longer-lasting finish, powder coating or painting?

I work for Volkswagen dealership in vic. They are notorious for water pump and thermostat leaking. Mostly they are replaced from 30,000-60,000km as they is signs of coolant stains under them, the TPI normal says one or the other. Should be covered by warranty. Also the tyres do not last, people drive these cahard, these cars I have quoted tyres low (2.5mm from indicator) on the first service 15k.
Had a laugh at 2:44, need a 60cm break bar at least, impact works a treat too.
You are much better off buying your 2 pack clear and hardener from a paint shop and mixing them in a small touch up gun. Mix up as much as you need. Keep the rest on the shelf.

customspraymods: Please update this video in the next few days/weeks and let us know if the paint stayed on your calipers. That paint doesn't seem rated for the temperatures the calipers will reach under normal driving conditions. Thanks!
I mentioned in the video when I was spraying the 2K clear that I’ve done track days using this type of paint and it has been fine so I’m pretty sure it will be okay.

Sorry but i would remove the brakes to paint them thoroughly. Why even do it if your going to half ass it? You wouldn’t paint a car without removing body panels. If your going thru the hassle of using a 3 layer paint then why half ass it. Mite as well use the brush on paint.
If I said I removed these off the car and painted them you wouldn't know the difference. Also it's my daily drive car if I removed the brakes painted them then had to reinstall them I wouldn't have finished the job in time to go pick up my daughter from day care. Check out my channel I have a video of painting brakes in a candy red with flakes. I took them off the car to paint them.
