    So do they rock, paper, scissors for who gets the minigun? A mini and 50 cal paired up is as good a definition of claws as I’ve ever heard. Would hate to be on the receiving end of that combo. Thanks for sharing the video!

      All incorrect. The padded jaw guard is to stop his face getting smashed by the breech of the 50 cal if it swings out of his control for whatever reason. Mini gunner doesn't need this equipment due to the smaller stature of the weapon.

    • @enragingwheedel5048
      @enragingwheedel5048 7 років тому +17

      I'm the goofy looking dude standing behind the gun in the start of the video. It's a preference thing tbh. The primary use for most people is to keep the sand off our face and it can help with a more clear communication with the pilots. Has nothing to do with the guns at all...

    Why are there no sights on those weapon systems? The M2 and the GAU both have mounts for a sight but nothing? I know you can use the tracers but the sights are also a big help.

    • @haydenbingham6988
      @haydenbingham6988 7 років тому +2

      you use the bullets to sight it. Also skill.

    • @threatlevel_TACO
      @threatlevel_TACO 7 років тому +1

      The mounts are there for laser targeting usually used during NVD shoots hence why they aren't mounted. Just like the guy mentioned above, you sight in by putting a few rounds down range. There is a rule of thumb you need to remember when shooting into the wind line and it changes depend on which side of the aircraft you're on.

    • @enragingwheedel5048
      @enragingwheedel5048 7 років тому

      895austin sights actually don't help very much. The mounts you see are used to mount on lasers.

    • @895austin
      @895austin 7 років тому

      They helped me to get on target faster. But, I was using a tripod mounted system or HMMWV mounted. I didn't rely on tracers.

    • @D-Mill6174
      @D-Mill6174 6 років тому

      895austin, your HMMWV wasn't traveling at 120 knots either. Makes for a completely different ball game. Exterior and Aerial Ballistics come into play making a sight nearly useless in most situations. We rely on good training and the development of experience to build first burst accuracy.

You can fry half a city with this puppy. (Most fitting for this video) I would have to say that is one of the best deliveries and his usual grab ass shit talking through out the whole movie. Game over man. Game over! But at least in the end he went down swinging. The other theory is he may have survived when the Xenos crashing the Operations center.

      Hey man this is my MOS too. The MOS is 6176 in my case ( MV-22 Osprey Crew Chief). Needed a MM score of 105 or higher. If you're reservist (which is the only way to guarentee this job, just ask your recruiter if there are any available, get a qualifying ASVAB score asap, and grab your job before someone else does.
