What most guitarists forget is that this song has a long, beautiful and heavenly long intro. The simple notes G, D and A are repeated followed by descending fifths ie 2 note chords: GD, DA and AE. This is sustained and resonant! Listen to the album. The vocal and actual guitar strumming starts later. Probably a keyboards intro.👍👆Long semibreves please.
Hey, thanks for this video!! I'm just learning gitar and it was really helpful. Glad to find somebody who was teaching this song I chose to learn to play the gitar. Higs from Brazil.
Thanks for this great lesson. For the chord following D, you have Asus2, where others have Asus4. I think Asus2 is more accurate, even though Asus4 sounds better to my ear. I'm also glad you showed the strumming pattern.
Learn't this song a while ago but after seeing your version Drue I'm going to play it this way from now on with a few tweaks in the strumming. Really enjoy your videos I find them easy to follow

Hey mate, the intro resambles alot to a song of the 80s, do you name of the song I am trying to say?
+Asdrubal Ahuitz Not sure which song you mean. The chord progression has been used in 1000's of songs.
Is it not G D then Asus4 ?
