"Something Walmart this way comes" and "Douche and turd" are high on my Dash wishlist. Gonna be a great day when he gets to those gems.
Agreed. Season 8 is pretty incredible across the board actually, which is amazing considering how exhausted they were.
I also agree tbh
I agree too. Also, the Jonas Brothers episode has to be on the wishlist!!!🤣🤣🤣
@@hectirbarrera2208 Baaaaaaaaaby
@@hectirbarrera2208 Definitely. I can't wait to see his reaction to "the boss".
The part where he actually looks backwards over his shoulder to reverse is hilarious.
Raphael!! Yeah, man! Loved that 😆
My absolute favorite scene of any episode.
@@dash.reacts U karate man samurai shampoo am I there Earth planet not there maybe or not so how its
I love that betraying your best friend at a sex and drugs party is just a part of playing guitar hero. The episode Asspen does a similar thing about things that “just happen” when you go skiing.
Staaaan DARSH! 🎸
The scene where the kids tell Mr. Marsh his guitar playing is stupid happened with one of the staff members at South Park Studios, the father trying to show off his real skills to his kids and their friends when they were playing Guitar Hero. Sometimes, the commentary of South Park, due to anecdotal experiences and real events, hits harder than any metaphor found in literature. Matt and Trey are true philosophers in the gaming communities. Great episode.
This is one of my favorites lol
Woww I didn't knew that before😮 (really, I'm not ironic)
That is so funny and yet so sad as well 😂. I never knew that part was based off of one of the SP staff member's experiences! Makes this episode even better ❤.
When I was a kid this is sort of what happened with me. I got guitar hero for Christmas and my dad pulled the “this is a real guitar” bit on me. Died laughing when this episode came out.
Dash I really appreciate you showing all of the obscure references when you react to episodes. I’ve seen these episodes so many times and it’s cool to finally understand what they were parodying!
that's why he's the king
Right lol I never knew South Park had this many references
Yeah it really sets him apart from many reactors. It's very useful to have that kind of context.
Randy playing guitar is weirdly the most normal hobby he’s had and he’s really good at it😂
I know right ❤! It's just a shame the boys didn't appreciate it though lol 😅.
They told a story that would usually be the intire plot of a whole movie in just 22 minutes and it didn't feel rushed at all that's impressive
“Cash for gold” is one of the funniest ones ever. You have to watch it!
Randy singing "Cary on my wayward son" was my favorite.. i hope they will launch the full version😅
It's cool they used John the fisherman as one of the songs from Guitar Hero to focus on, since Primus made the South Park theme song
Fun fact! My Grandpa helped write Every Rose Has It's Thorn. He used to do the light's for a local southern rock band back when Poison was still a club band. One day they were coming up with lyrics and his suggestion was "Cowboys sing sad songs."
South Park really is something else. Matt and Trey are so good at their craft that it's like they're telling an entire movie's worth of story in a single episode.
This was the era of southpark where randy was at his best. This, the baseball episode, world of warcraft, he works best a sort of foil or b-plot to what the kids are doing.
Gotta say, I'm impressed at the references you pull out. "I quit. I quit..." from 1996's "That Thing You Do" - that's a deep dive for sure.
I've gotta say this. I love that you point out either celebs, or pop culture references, or anything that might go over someone's head. It shows a true passion for the show, and I love it.
I know Cartman rips on Butters all the time and plays cruel tricks on him, but I think their friendship is hilariously adorable.
IMO some of the best episodes are the ones where they put them together. Cartman as Awesome-O, Cartman thinks he's a ghost, Cartman pretends the world is ending to go to Casa Bonita...ect. They are so great together!
It's incredibly toxic
You've already seen "Christian Rock Hard" where they showhow all these poor artists can no longer afford the best Private Jet or their private island so you know Trey and Matt are not above making fun of artists and record labels.
"Something you can do with your Finger" (S4 Ep8) is another jab at the Music industry, same with "Chef Aid" (S2 Ep14).
I've not really commented before on this channel, and I'm not really big into 'react' channels, but I am impressed how much you add to an episode either by being able to read Japanese, getting the song and move references, or real world event referencing, all things I am terrible at. Honestly every episode you've had on here, I have learned something. Keep up the good videos :)
Lmao I love that they actually put in the song of "carry on wayward son" by Kansas. Usually cartoons don't do that for copyright, dope song.
Geriatric song
@@emailitzs641 lol well the band is, but doesn't mean the listener is.
"200" and "201" are a great two parter of episodes. but they're 'banned' which means you know they're good.
1:53 every time Wayward Son plays on the radio I put up a peace sign, only south park fans get it xD
“Death camp of tolerance” is a god tier episode man
been telling him to do that one for a while
Ōkami is wolf in Japanese, but I think it's also a pun. It has kami in the word, and you play as the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami in a wolf form.
I've learnt the word "Kami" after watching the anime that should be obvious from my nick (lol).
@lightyagami1752 The character 神 can be pronounced kami or gami. So yep, Shinigami (死神) literally means death god. You'll also see that same character on Kami from Dragon Ball. It's the symbol on his robes. 魔 (ma) is a kanji that means devil or demon and is on Demon King Piccolo's clothes in Dragon Ball.
@@stormageddon2223 Thanks. Wasn't just that. Kami was also how Mikami referred to the primary Kira (Light). And it was also in the very sad song sung by Misa. I watched the show both subbed and dubbed so got the full experience.
This episode is a lesson in satirizing tropes and at the same time making them work for real within your own story. Matt and Trey are geniuses.
Just an unrelated question: do you recognise/research all the references on your own or you have any help? No matter the answer, the edits are amazing. I know a lot of pop culture, but I learn something new every time with these reactions.
Dude you are the man! You know every effing reference from the show. “That Thing You Do” who the hell knows that “I quit” is from that? Legend
Great reaction yet again Dash. Thanks!
The game doesn’t say “You Suck” when you lose. It just says “You Lose!” If you ever get a chance to play, you should. That game was freakin’ awesome!
I don’t think you’ve checked out Proper Condom Use s5:7 or the Death Camp of Tolerance s6:14. Both are absolutely must see!!! Would love to see your reaction.
It actually says "Song Failed" and tells you how far into the song you got and on what difficulty, like "Completed 4% on Expert"
As someone that remembers when South Park first came out, I still cannot fathom that the are around still and more relevant than ever. Greatest show ever.
Stan reversing is one of my favorite scenes in the show. Idk why it gets to me so much. Like it’s so serious.
This episode and Crème Fraiche are 2 of my favorite comfort food type of episodes!
Finally you're back 😃 this is a great episode. Randy is showing off 😂
5:56 is one of my favorite jokes in the history of the show.
Dash u are easily the best reactor channel on UA-cam, u deserve alot more view. I don't see any other reactors actually editing in the real original references that these episodes are making fun of or paying homage to. Great stuff
It's absolutely criminal that you don't have 100k+ subscribers yet. Please don't stop!
Once he does he'll get a record deal
Such a classic probably a top 5 episode for me
I love how cartman just said oh my god this is so awsome when Stan and Kyle were fighting🤣
It's been awesome rewatching these episodes with you, I especially like how you insert the references you spot.
Such a great satire of the music industry and guitar hero. The game was huge when this episode came out.
2:00 The real game is obviously not this harsh. They will not tell you you suck.
Also Randy missing all the notes was literally me when I started playing Guitar Hero.
What I love about your reactions is that you DO have pop culture knowledge to get almost every reference, and if you don't know something, it shows that you do your research.
Keep it up! Greetings from México.
The ending has me laughing my ass off every time 🤣🤣🤣😅😂🤣🤣🤣
Once again another great video, this man doesn't miss. A great episode that you should %100 watch is Poor and Stupid
Tom morello is the one of the best inventive guitar players of all time, adds a whole new dimension to just playing it as a guitar. There’s a dude from Poland called Marcin that plays every instrument on his acoustic guitar. And les claypool from primus plays bass in a killer different way to anyone else, and Ler from primus gets not enough respect for his guitar skills in primus
I love the collaborations with Marcin and Ichika!
This episode put me onto Kansas.
It was a great way to connect further with my old man back when this episode came out.
My dad introduced me to Kansas long before this episode, for the money the "LIVE: Dust in the Wind" CD is the best version of Kansas, much better then the studio recordings.
Glad you mentioned the Libertines, I just discovered them not long time ago, what a unique band!
"I was soaring ever hiyaaah!" 😂
I was basically addicted to Guitar Hero and Rock Band when this episode came out (I still play drums in Rock Band a bunch). I even had a IRL group of players in Rock Band that ended because the guitar player and the singer had a thing and then broke up. (no heroin though). I'm pretty sure I fell out of my chair laughing at the end of this episode.
This game was so popular with me and my friends. We’d often brag who was able to play what song on the hardest difficulty. When I saw this episode and that ending it sent me because of how lame it probably all sounded. Still had great times with my friends though
I remember my group of friends at highschool told me about the scene where Stan goes back with the car and said it was so funny and i didn't understand at first till i saw it with My own eyes XD
It reminded me of the Rocky IV montage but I think that one didn't include a reverse drive.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Thad’s audition makes me cry each time! 😂
I was watching this episode yesterday and was thinking: "It would be great if Dash reacted to it.". Then i thought, I don't know why, that's not very likely.😅
I LOVE WAKING UP AND SEEING A NEW VID FROM YOU
i love how much efford you put in theese reactions, that makes you stand out from the other channels, dope video
Randy playing carry on my wayward son is one of my favorite south park moments ever
Wasn’t expecting to see a reference to the boys but it’s welcome
I've seen this episode so many times, but there's small things like the game posters I never noticed before! Thanks Dash
This is an episode I've been really looking forward to seeing your reaction video about it! I can't tell you how impressed I was that you knew every single reference (The Partridge Family, Boogie Nights, That Thing You Do, etc.).
Thank you for so much and PLEASE never give up on South Park to chase the dragon.
I love the fact that behind the counter at the game store, there's copies of "Wolf-I", a tribute to Okami which is one of my favourite games! The box art is spot on too👌🏻
I heard of that game being called a Zelda clone, but if it is it's my favorite Zelda clone game lol 😂. Definitely one of my favorite games as well ❤! I wish there was a sequel for it 💔.
@@TheMeloettaful Same, a sequel on modern consoles would be amazing! Fingers crossed for "Zelda clone 2" 😂
That twist at the end! 😂😂😂😂
I remember guitar hero being so popular when i was a kid, we'd go to a small arcade place that looks like a decrepit house, most of the other kids would just be watching the players who are good not letting others play lol
Lmfao at Randy playing heroine hero!!! 😂
this episode came out at the peak of Guitar Hero's popularity, i remember when i was in hs all the kids i knew were playing that game and only that game for months. it was a good game but i got bored of it pretty quick. i was more into DDR.
Fun Fact: The story is actually loosely based on the story of the South Park creators. At some point, during the height of their career, Trey the more talented one was invited to more opportunities and working with other people, sending Matt working with other obscure projects. Also they might have reached a point where they argued and almost split but in the end, they were meant to be together.
The scene of a kid playing a Guitar Hero controller unplugged for his audition will never fail to make me snort with laughter.
My favourite ending to any South Park episode ever.
At about 10mins when kyle is offered the job by nick, its wording is almost word for word from 'Christine' arnie and darnells conversation.
its honestly funny that they have the kid play buckethead ("jordan" being the most difficult song on GH2), and then have him play John the fisherman, a pretty easy song on the game like theyre even comparably difficult lol
When my best friend officially came out of the closet and announced her first homosexual relationship on Facebook, I was the first one to comment, and it was the part at 14:23
You never get that chance twice
"Raising the bar" you'd love it!!
Cartman always enjoying conflict 😂
You gotta do South park S16 ep11 "going native" is one of the best Butters episodes out of all 26 seasons + it has alot of Kenny stuff too so its unique lol
8:46 Fun fact, “That Thing You Do!” takes place in my college town of Erie, PA (before they travel to L.A., of course.)
8:35 - 8:44 😂😂😂 I so loved finding out that "I quit" reference came from That Thing You Do.
I'd love to see your reaction to "Put It Down". Not only is it super relevant considering the Twitter Space, but it was oddly wholesome
11:48 Lol, that song is from an episode called *Spontaneous Combustion* _Season 3, Episode 2._ If you're interested.
I absolutely love this episode. Good Choice. You need to do the South Park movie: South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.
You're seriously the best pewtey-pie there ever was! Thank for you beautiful entertainment!
I’m from Colorado so the celebrities in this one are fucking phenomenal Jake jabs always did furniture commercials with a fucking tiger
Damn. I was about to go to bed too... but this episode is so good.
everyday i wake up and hope u posted another southpark vid
"that's these boys playing?"
*click*
"no that's Kansas :)" still one of my dad's favorite lines from this entire show lmao
such a classic i havent even watched and i know ima be smiling!
great content Dash!
fun fact Primus wrote then south park theme song!
When this episode came out I loved it so much coz I would come home from school and play GH for hours & watch SP after then they came out with this episode, haha especially the whole rock n roll shtick, Herion Hero🤣 and Thad playing Primus "acoustically" who helped make the south park theme song
1st April 2023 - it's been 5 days since Dash uploaded a South Park video. I've been through the back catalogue twice and have almost mastered the "hand cross-y" thing he does at the start. I'm worried I'm actually learning Japanese by osmosis at this point, but I continue my watchful vigil. Refresh... Refresh... Refresh.
(Happy April 1st, Dash :-) )
I played a lot of Guitar Hero and Rock Band as a teen, even got into the top 10 on the leaderboards for some songs, fun times
Awesome reaction as always. I would recommend "hell on earth 2006" S10E11 next. it is really funny and i think you would enjoy it a lot too.👌
Just so you know, the S'moors beer is a spoof of Coors. If you read the packaging, it says "brewed with rocky mountain water" which is because Coors originated in Colorado.
Something i love about this episode is that the tone never shifts too far away from comedy. They could have easily had Stan do actual Heroin in this episode, but if he did, it would have made the mood too depressing for the episode. Instead they made it a shitty video game to contrast Guitar Hero.
So glad you caught That thing you do reference. I feel like no one I know ever watched that movie.
This is such a wholesome episode.
Love the videos. Keep them up. Mystery of the Urinal Deuce next please.
big shoutout to dash for taking this recommendation, this is awesome!
5:04 Check out a song called Get Me Gone by Fort Minor. It's Mike Shinoda saying how the producer tried to remove him from Linkin Park.
13:53 spit all my water out with that face you made
Much respect to the itachi poster. We all know he was the real hero
The Stan dragon section of the story reminds me of punk Floyd and their story behind comfortably numb. The guy overdosed minutes before a show and they had to bring in a doctor to pump him with adrenaline so that he could perform
An interesting detail: in Russia the whole screen was made blurry while "Heroine Hero" was on. It made the game feel super trippy
I was having really bad withdrawals with no video for a week
Sorry for the delay, Neon! Glad you’re here 🙏

In my humble opinion since you asked. Slash is the greatest guitarist to ever live with Jimi Hendrix a close second. Weirdly enough I believe Jimi would have surpassed Slash if he hadn't died young.
