@LIFTSMITH Well, the word “thermostatic “ is a big clue. By definition, that means it’s temperature controlled, not timer. But exactly where the thermostat is located would be a pretty relevant selling point. If it shuts down because the exhaust has reached its maximum, that would still legally fit the definition of thermostatically controlled, but wouldn’t really be much help in controlling the temperature of a room. Usually, the Ebersbacher and Webasto units that these are all copies of, tend to have thermostats built in and what they do is measure the air temperature at the input. They have an option to install an external thermostat, for situations where you’re drawing air from outside, rather than in the room. I don’t know whether the cheap Chinese ones incorporate that option, or not.
I'm dumping my crappy Chinese heaters and investing in proper Made in America heaters of exceptional quality, to pass on to my son and grandson. Any suggestions on what to buy ?
Can you add a hose to the intake and have it pull air from the area that is being heated? That would help it heat an area much better, instead of sucking in 20° air if the unit is outside. Plus, that would keep it from sucking in the fumes from the exhaust.
You want the intake pulling in fresh air. The oxygen it consumes in the combustion process has to be replaced with oxygen from somewhere, and that oxygen is going to come from outside your enclosure one way or another. You might as well have it coming from an exterior intake tube; otherwise it will be pulling the oxygen from drafts into your enclosure.
@@stevem1081 Be that as it may, you're better off having the intake pull fresh air directly from outside. Otherwise it will be pulling air from inside, which itself will simply be replaced with air from the outside, exacerbating drafts/leaks.

You mentioned that it can be run on 120v does it come with that cord and if not what type of plug does it use the one in your link doesn’t show the adapter
Dang, if it was mounted on the driver side rear tire with one of those tire steps you'd be looking at the display upside down and also the exhaust would be going right into the tire. I wouldn't want to mount it on the passenger tire because i'd have to walk around to get to it. I get in/out of the drivers side rear door of my suv... Just something to think about if anyone else didn't think about lol Wondering if the display would be able to be rotated without too much trouble?
Why does the heat indicator bars on the display only show to the second green bar? With the heater set at P-1 that is the lowest setting and of course it will run extremely long on a tank of fuel. Turn it up to P-5 and the fuel consumption will triple.
Does the fuel tank cap seal completely? It looks like it has a switchable venting cap. My current diesel heater leaks of the fuel cap vent when sloshing around in my truck on backroads.
I prefer to use the 3 in hose it comes with and connect that with the 4 in hose. The 3in adapter fits perfectly on the outlet and the 4 in hose ensure no kinks or clogging

Does it make start/stop when it reaches a programmed temp. ?
Do you know what the max altitude this unit is rated for?
i’m guessing 8800ft or whatever the non altitude heaters run at be they don’t mention it anywhere o. their amazon ad
I want to have mine setting outside, but want to be controlled by a thermostat inside. is this already controlled by the fob remote when inside my trailer.
so these are just on or off? no thermostat? Ive been interested in one for a plant greenhouse but would like it to have some thermostatic control.
You mentioned that it can be run on 120v does it come with that cord and if not what type of plug does it use the one in your link doesn’t show the adapter
It come with the 120ac cord
Dang, if it was mounted on the driver side rear tire with one of those tire steps you'd be looking at the display upside down and also the exhaust would be going right into the tire. I wouldn't want to mount it on the passenger tire because i'd have to walk around to get to it. I get in/out of the drivers side rear door of my suv... Just something to think about if anyone else didn't think about lol
Wondering if the display would be able to be rotated without too much trouble?
Do you have to adjust it for alltitude?
You can tune it for high altitude
Can't find one for sale ,any ideas where to get one
The Amazon link took me right to it
Cant find it on the market for sale yet ? Whats the price on that 8kw heater
Why does the heat indicator bars on the display only show to the second green bar? With the heater set at P-1 that is the lowest setting and of course it will run extremely long on a tank of fuel. Turn it up to P-5 and the fuel consumption will triple.
Your link is going to the old version on Amazon. How do we get the new 2024 version?
Check the link again; 2024 versions is rolling out November 24th and Amazon is now accepting pre-orders.
Where is the combustion air intake? The older version had a pipe for that so it could draw outside air if you have it set up inside
That's what I'm wondering otherwise your just sucking in cold air to the space your trying to heat...
Very nice. Sadly they are not abaiable. 😞
November 10 is not far away
do they sell that wippro stove somewhere in europe? Not on the european amazon.
Does the fuel tank cap seal completely? It looks like it has a switchable venting cap. My current diesel heater leaks of the fuel cap vent when sloshing around in my truck on backroads.
That gas cap does not have a switch, just for looks. I actually put a piece of duct tape over the hole when I am driving
Putting the exhaust next to the air inlet on original is insane
Now you can stand next to the exhaust as you work the display 😧
does it heat the space? not how long the diesel lasts
Did you hear the temp output? It all depends on the cubic feet you want to heat. I can make my 6×12 trailer into a sweat lodge
Why 3-inch hose clamps with 4-inch duct work in the description?
I prefer to use the 3 in hose it comes with and connect that with the 4 in hose. The 3in adapter fits perfectly on the outlet and the 4 in hose ensure no kinks or clogging
Is there a fuel filter on this unit ?
I would like to see you take it apart. see what the components are, see the type of fuel lines, does it have a fuel filter. what is the quality of the things you don't see from the outside. Also would like to see it in real world use. Just my $.02
@@Brian.B- it is available now, link in description
Why not build it VGO so lower carbon footprint?
I do not build them, I just review them
will low keep your tent warm at 15f?
Yes, maybe you could go to settings 2 but not higher than that for a tent
A buddy heater can get 120 hours on a 20lb tank, which i can fill for $12
That is true, I use one in my large garage in the winter but not in a tent, way too dangerous
i wonder if a couple peltier units and a small battery will allow to power itself LOL
Amazon says currently unavailable.
Does this unit have an Alpine mode of lower heat ?
It does
Not available here in the UK😳
Missing the electrical output total consumption???? Low/High
Interesting, I go to Amazon and unable to find this heater. I see an older model. Seems Amazon carries all other brands.

How do you know it's 8kw?
The 5 kw heater is closer to 3.4kw.
The 8?...should be closer to 6kw.
can tis run on kerosene?
No
Must still not be available?
