Would be hard to do though, besides the strain it would take to cut up a human, to remove flesh from bones as well? It feels like a lot of effort, too much effort quite frankly. But you are right
Okay coming back to this, they do say that the bobcats and other cats they had at the time could have eaten the meat and still left bones, so you are right in that she could have just waiting till the cats finished with the meat and left just bones. The question is how to get rid of said bones. Could be buried, could be ground up, could maybe even somehow been cremated (although at that point just cremate the whole body). My personal bet would be on buried as it is not an easy feat to grind up bones.

Ok so fun fact, Jaguars don't just have a bite force that can break a house man femer, their main method of attack is to BITE THROUGH THEIR PRAYS SKULL!! So if any big cat can dispose of a human body it would be this one.
Alright heres my theory: Joe Exotic had a couple of crocodiles in captivity right? Well the average bite force of the American Alligator is around 2125 psi and typically crocodiles have a bit of a stronger bite than the alligators. They typically eat once a week and have insanely acidic stomachs. And its not like a crocodile has never killed and eaten a human before. Carol may not have had any crocodiles in or around Big Cat Rescue at 1997 however, the everglades are only a 4 hour drive away from tampa. She very easily could have cut the body into pieces at Big Cat Rescue, packaged them in a way to not leave behind a trace in Don's Van, Drove to the everglades, disposed of the body and dump the van at the airport within a single 24 hour period. thank you for coming to my ted talk
She didn’t necessarily need to feed all of him in one day, she could keep his meat in the fridge an pretend it was pork, as for the bones she could just break them with a hammer an burry them
I feel like matpat just made a case for mistrail all defense would need is one person from the jury to have some sort of y.t connection as a viewer of in a house hold of a y.t watcher...
But still strange she reported him missing after 1 day, when he was expected to be in Costa Rica? And his van is obviously planted at the airport to back up that theory. So if he goes to Costa Rica to hook up with his "side girls", something tells me she usually doesn't hear from him until he gets home, maybe 3 days or a week at least? Unless he usually calls his wife from the airport as soon as he lands before his girlfriends pick him up, but something tells me he's not the type of guy to do that.
@@FilmTheory Oh my, what a needless Theory. Ever heard of Stargate or Star Trek? You made so many Theorys about the Star Wars Franchise, the third-best Franchise with 'Star' in the Name. If not about the Minecraft Story, then at least try something New, something Good.
Plausible. Now, we need to look up research papers about the decay rate of certain parts of the human skeleton due to aging (and etc.) because I doubt that the femur of a 70 year old man is nearly as weak as his pelvis. The design of the pelvis is more to blame for it breaking because having a baby can bust a middle aged woman's pelvis as well. It's also likely that the femur could be harder to break than expected due to scar tissue buildup from random things like hitting a truck or cage, but that's just a theory.
@@MagnakayViolet Well lets just see what's the hardest bone he has based on age, previous incidents and other factors. If a jaguar or tiger can bite through that then we know it's sound.
@@r.j.penfold Yeah, he's already got good analytical skills and critical thinking (which is evident even in all the scripts and videos where he was the only person writing and editing.), with proper formal training he'd be a good investigator.. Just a flamboyant and loud one due to his Theatre experience.
According to the sources the lion's bite strength is around the same as a tiger's. And out of curiosity I looked up a Liger's bite strength which should come out just a bit short to break a human femur. Just look up how massive a liger is and you'll know why I'm amazed.
This is probably too late to get seen by anyone, but I began watching the show a while ago, and after watching this theory, I did some research. I noticed that in Episode one, during the 'Graveyard' Scene where Carol is showing the Cameramen the Large cat's Graves, I looked closely, and saw something. I saw the Gravestone of a Jaguar, which was born and bought by Carol and Don in 1994. Don went missing in 1997, which mean said Jaguar would have been 3 years old at that time. I have no idea if this changes anything, but it is true Carol has 40 Acres of land, so they could have had many Jaguars during that time.
The issue isn't whether they'd be driven to eat humans, the issue is that they can't chew through our bones because their jaws just aren't strong enough.
Here is what I believe happened: Carol’s husband wanted to divorce her but carol ended up killing him. She planted his van at the airport to stage an escape. Then she reported him missing. When she broke into the assistant’s home, she was trying to find the evidence that the assistant might’ve had (or his will). She then rewrote his will and forged the signature so she would get all the money.
There are two types of people. Society has been a benifit for a lot of people that would have been rooted out if survival of the fittest were a factor anymore.
His advanced age also means there's a good chance he could have had a condition that made his bones weaker, like osteoporosis. That might make things easier for a big cat to break them.
The cats didn't HAVE to bite through the femur. What if Carol just smashed the bones with a sledgehammer and then fed them to the tigers... There's thousands of possibilities of how she could have done it.
I just found out that one of my coworkers actually worked at Joe Exotic's Zoo! He's actually a pretty nice guy and has some adorable pictures of him with some of the baby tigers and one massive baby liger!
I have a friend whos mom died a couple months ago and shes always cracking jokes about it, its honestly normal, coping mechanisms or just people already moved on from the past.
The flaw in this theory is assuming takes 1 strong bite to break a bone when a tiger, lion or jaguar could have easily gnawed on the bone until it broke

Sylveon yeah lol she wants the tigers to be free and not in captivity and then she makes people go bankrupt, takes away their cats and then puts them in cages and makes money off them
I mean she had an accredited sanctuary whole joe ran his own zoo. She cared for tigers that had already been bred the best she could & had a lot more space for them than joe did while he was breeding even more
@ then why is she still breeding them? Same with all her cats, seeing as how you generally dont want to breed more cats into captivity if your goal is just helping those who cant be returned to the wild
@@aidanquiett668, She stopped breeding them a long time ago. Joe's zoo always bred new tigers and he would have kept on doing it as long as he makes money off it. So i did the math, as u said don was 77kg at the time of his death, “the daily food requirement of a captive jaguar weighing 34 kg was estimated at 1.4 kg of meat” according to the internet, 77 divided by 1.4 is 55, meaning there needed to be 55 34kg jaguars on the property if jaguar’s were the only cats dealing with the disposal of dons body, of course other cats could’ve helped dispose of dons body and a jaguar would only be needed for the strong bones like the femur. I couldn’t find any numbers on how much heavier jaguars eat so if any of u can find any leave me a link in the replies
Nobody touched on the fact that Don Lewis never really told us his job. Other then selling cars illegally to Costa Rica. That man was worth anywhere between 5 and 20 million and he couldn’t even spell ‘enough’ correctly on the restraining order. Also Don was known for not wanting to get the law involved, this was even said by Dons daughter to his Ex wife. My theory is that he was selling drugs in Costa Rica. I also believe Carol knew what he was doing, she knew that whatever line of work he was in, was a dangerous one and honestly probably wasn’t even attached to Don that much. So when he went missing it wasn’t a surprise to Carol and she worked fast on the legal papers to get the money from the daughters and ex wife.
Very possible he went missing smuggling coke. But where’s the missing plane? Why leave the van at the wrong airport? (he told Carole he was flying out of Miami “early early early”. Why no luggage? Why leave his fortune. Why haven’t we heard from the Costa Rican girlfriend? Carole murdered him.
When he was mentioning all the other big cats that could possibly eat the bones I just kept on thinking "It's not any of them!! It's a Jaguar! They have strong enough bite force!!" (Yes I know a lot about jaguars, did you know that they'll occasionally hunt underwater? It's terrifying!) Something else Carol could've done is give the body to hyenas, they're really good at eating everything from their meal, even bones. I know it was a big cat sanctuary, but it looked like the type of environment hyenas live in too. And they almost always eat all the bones too, unless they're forced to flea.
I dunno how the U.S. system works, but in Brazil, if your signature doesn't match the one(s) you registered in a notary's office, we aren't allowed to recognize it without the signatory's presence. Contract doesn't go through. However, you can have multiple signature styles as long as you register them; in person, with photo documentation.
Then there's acid, a good fire, powerful blender/drills and the wild cats, big dogs... This rich lady had plenty options to discard the body including just burying off her land miles away.
She had henchmen available due to the fact that her late husband was filthy rich. separate the flesh from the bones then dispose in around random spots inside 40acres of area.
Find where to hide for a short period. Then meanwhile come up with stories and background for yourself. Find another place that doesn't connect with you and dislocate the bones into other places so they can't find who the body is.

Hey Matt I know from working with tigers that they can chew bones, I've seen them eat chicken wings and crack them so easily in their mouth. Also pigs will eat anythingggggg having that large of space she could have other animals like pigs who will eat anything.
“If i can pull this off, itll be the slickest thing ive ever done” Sounds like somebody about to leave his life behind. If we believe Don did leave on his own accord, its possible Carole found out and THAT’S why she stole and editted his will illegally.
@@NJEH8TE that logic really shouldn’t be something anyone should be thinking. Doesn’t matter if it male or female if anyone decided to do that in an failing marriage that should be concerning.
Such hogshit! The guy loved his money. He would not leave that behind. Carol is involved one way or the other. The convenient situations that followed (apart from the direct evidence in writing by the victim himself of physical threat by Carol) all point to her being a shadowy character.
She was totally able to get rid of the body. My mom was making for my cat's barf. It's a diet made from supplements and meat, she would take the meat (with the bones) grind it and ad supplements. It took approximately 2 hours, but it also needs to wait 15 min's and mixing it and blablabla... So the grinding alone took only 15 min's. GRINDING 30kg (66lb) OF MEAT TAKES 15 MIN'S!!! A normal house cat eats about 300g-600g (0,66lb-1,32lb) whit the grinded bones, a bob cat eats 0,45kg-1,3kg (2lb-3lb) a day! So yes, i tink she would be able to get rid of the body.

My personal bet would be on buried as it is not an easy feat to grind up bones.

vhagsh ebsbah We don't know that for sure, not every cat she got was young
Alright heres my theory:
Joe Exotic had a couple of crocodiles in captivity right?

Nili G good point man was probably walking on tooth pics
Oh your smart. People at that age take a small fall and break their hips. They’re super brittle
This needs to be liked so MatPat can see and respond.

Then meanwhile come up with stories and background for yourself.
Find another place that doesn't connect with you and dislocate the bones into other places so they can't find who the body is.
Carol baskin
*calls up Disney*
matpat: you got hamilton coming up next year, right?
Disney: yes?
matpat: ADD IT TO DISNEY PLUS
Disney: ok... but why?
matpat: we need people to stay home
Disney: ok
Hey Matt I know from working with tigers that they can chew bones, I've seen them eat chicken wings and crack them so easily in their mouth. Also pigs will eat anythingggggg having that large of space she could have other animals like pigs who will eat anything.
Those were chicken bones not human bones.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the bite force to break a chicken wing is far less than that of, say, a human femur
I can bite through a chicken wing
A chicken wing ? Really. WHAT kind of analogy is there between breaking a chicken WING and breaking a human femur ?? 🤦🏼♀️
“If i can pull this off, itll be the slickest thing ive ever done”
Sounds like somebody about to leave his life behind.
If we believe Don did leave on his own accord, its possible Carole found out and THAT’S why she stole and editted his will illegally.
stop using womans logic pls
@@NJEH8TE
Stop ignoring a possiblility of what happened pls

But what about the skeleton? The grinder wouldn’t be able to grind the bones.
@@galfinsp7216 If you use some tools and chop the bones up into smaller pieces then scatter them around the farm, just small enough to the point no one could tell, the whole skeleton would be munched up until it was nothing but small scraps and teeth powder laying on the ground.
@@B_4035mn not only that small animals can eat the tiny remains
Carol killed her husband, it’s too obvious. Like even his own attorney said he was going to leave her and, that it was weird his will said if he was to die or disappear Carol gets everything.
Even O. J. Simpson believes, that she killed her Husband.
You have no evidence, the documentary didn’t show the whole story, and you sound stupid.
@@alexbennet4195 There is alot of circumstantial evidence puts her under heavy suspicion.
@@shadowlock258 nah its not 'heavy suspicion' i mean matpat has how much subscriber?!
One of them is SURE a officer.
So there is a chance he o. She watched it and is doing something, oooor its not heavy enough 🤷🏾♂️
@@ItsJustKaya what?
It's time we need a new one.
Murder Theory.
Should've just fed him to the pigs, starve time for a couple days, remove the corpses teeth and hair and chop it up, the pigs will chew through the corpse in minutes bones and all (source: snatch)
@@kingacrisius Some shady hog farmers will dispose of a body for you for a big price. Very rare but I guess moneys money to some people
@@quizent8386 and considering she has several meat eaters.
They'll chew through bone like butter!
Afterwords, they feed the pig to the tigers. The logic is sound.
John podesta had stake in a pigs farm
THEORY IDEA: being stuck in quarantine I need MattPatt to tell me exactly how many helium balloons Carl would need based off of the house dimensions, materials, and items within the home to get it to fly for the period of time it did in the Disney movie UP. PLEASE!!!
I remember reading somewhere that someone did it and proved that a house could indeed fly off the ground using balloons but I agree that MatPat NEEDS to do that theory.
Morgan Thibeault that video would only be like a minute long at most
It's gotta be at least 2
I agree
@@AJSSPACEPLACE sounds like a good diet theory.
Her tigers sure do live in tiny, deplorable conditions for someone who claims to be an animal rights activist and is TOTALLY not doing this for the money
And for not doing it for money, she the money she does make going to herself and not her volunteers isnt helping her either
josh678595 I totally agree
Not paying your workers and charging admission is not how you run a nonprofit 😂
She actually has paid staff and volunteers. Also those cages they showed were feeding cages. BCR actually has pretty large enclosures. They do have a perfect score on Charity navigator. Whether or not she killed her husband, BCR is an actual sanctuary. We have to keep in mind that documentaries are biased and they are trying to show us a very specific story.
Yeah like Joe has better enclosures than her
Now im revisiting this video because he was actually found alive living Costa Rica
But i mean he ran for a reason lmao. She’s fuckin nuts (Joe Exotic is too)
