Manchester Victoria - Durham & Return (Railway Journeys)
A journey from Manchester Victoria to Durham and back on a TransPennine Express NOVA 1 (Class 802), via Huddersfield, Leeds, York & Darlington. Electrification of the Trans-Pennine route between Manchester and York via Leeds is ongoing.

I gathered u were alone just others. In carriage were noisy…… I’ve been waiting for years since I moved to north east for new trains soon as they came in the pandemonium came can’t wait until I feel lot safer I’m old and knackered lungs

I really do like the Transpennine Express Class 802 Nova 1 IETs. What is your favourite Class 802 IETs. Mine is the TPE Nova 1. Plus I think that electrification should still continue from Manchester Victoria to Leeds and from Neville Hill to Colton Junction to allow the Class 802s to run fully electric. And for Northern to operate electric services from Manchester to Leeds and York. Once the electrification is completed.

Electrification is the plan! Don't think I've been on any other operators' 802s (though I've done a few LNER 800/801s). I think the IETs are excellent trains, only let down by mediocre interiors (which is what everyone always complains about)
