Final tally: $6,100. The Gangsters and West End categories were not my strong suit today. Love the “Varsity Drag” clips! Especially the one from The Muppet Show. I can’t help but be biased, I am a fan of the Muppets.
I got the final Jeopardy question. It is one of my favorite musicals. I worked backstage at the Berkshire Theater Festival and they did High Spirits with the great late Kaye Ballard as Madam Arcati,
I absolutely love [tos] - saw a production in my hometown and watched every episode of [title of show show] and Side By Side By Susan Blackwell back in the day.
Fantastic episode this week Marc! I’m kicking myself over missing the Good News question! Absolutely love the love for Legs Diamond - my all time favorite flop musical - I won’t type here what I used to shout at the building when I’d walk past the Times Square Church… I’ll be giving the OBC of Legs a listen tomorrow while I do my house work! Keep em coming - it’s the highlight of our week and our oldest has even started watching with us too! Lots of love from sleepy little Elmore Ohio from April, Christopher, The Notorious MMB & the absolutely fabulous Izzy B!!!
That musical at Drury Lane... 4 hours of my life that I'll never get back. But like you said, the effects were mind blowing! However, would i sit through it again to see the effects? No chance 😂
I'm so obsessed with Galt MacDermot and his Two Gentlemen deserves sooooo much m9re love. So amazing h9w he and Joe Papp completely changed NYC theatre.
Highlight of my week! 😆 Was lucky enough to see the $200 West End answer in Chicago recently--it was a lot of fun! Sounds like the special effects were pared down from the West End version, but still pretty amazing. Ended with $7200 this time. Thanks, Marc!!
Edmond from Royal Oak MI….score only $200…blew the title of the final jeopardy clue…and I was way too confident that I would know it. Oh well, thanks for another delightful dive into the greatest theatrical art form!
In the "Lord of the Rings" musical, I was most impressed by how the performers manoeuvered around the constantly rotating set and lifting/lowering set pieces. I think only one person was injured (leg got caught).
Not a bad week. No surprise, I didn't get any of the West End musicals, but I loved learning about them. With a victory in Final Jeopardy, $9600 on the week,
Before the final round, I got $6,800. This was a tough one, but I appreciate that I learn so much while doing this. Also, I was in a production of "Good News" in high school as one of the sorority sisters. It was so much fun. In addition, I only knew about "Salad Days" because Monty Python parodied it as a Sam Peckinpah film.
$6600 this week. Can't wait for the Halloween special next week. Also, spoiler alert... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thank you for including "The Band's Visit" this week (ביקור התזמורת in Hebrew). This show has great significance to Israeli audiences (like me), especially after actor Sasson Gabay, who originated the role of band leader Tewfiq in the film, was cast in the Broadway production and later in the tour.
Lord of the Rings the Musical also premiered in Toronto (with some of the same cast carrying over to London) and had a recent run in the Chicago Shakespeare Theater
I saw Raul Julia and Clif Davis in Two Gentleman of Verona. I wasn't quite a Sondheim fan yet, and reviews for Follies were mixed. Later, I saw Sunday itpwg with Mandy and Bernadette!
Hi Marc. Cricket here. I have to admit I didn't do too well this week 😞. Anyway I thought of a new catagory for you. How about "Forbidden Broadway". Thanks for your consideration on this.
As usual, I lost it all. As a UK resident I must say I’ve seen both Lord of the Rings and Martin Guerre. And I’ve played Charles in Blythe Spirit in two different Am Dram productions. (I told my lovely wife Brenda what I was posting and she said “Braggart!” She’s right.)
Best series on UA-cam ❤❤❤🥰 my partner and I enjoy this every week
Aww, thanks so much! That means the world to me ❤️

Same. Those categories were not playing to my strengths.
I got the final Jeopardy question. It is one of my favorite musicals. I worked backstage at the Berkshire Theater Festival and they did High Spirits with the great late Kaye Ballard as Madam Arcati,
Hey we just watch the $1000 question Art by Squigs. Title of Show the one playing Susan is my sister-in-law Susan Blackwell.
I LOVE her!!!!
I absolutely love [tos] - saw a production in my hometown and watched every episode of [title of show show] and Side By Side By Susan Blackwell back in the day.

The amount of work that you put into each video is amazing! Keep it up! Great work!

Maaaaaaaan not what I imagined under "west end" 😂😂😂😂 yes yes... Learning. I have learnt a lot today. Thaaaaanks 😁😁
My favorite part of your show is all the cool history and factoids I learn! Thank you for that!
Highlight of my week! 😆 Was lucky enough to see the $200 West End answer in Chicago recently--it was a lot of fun! Sounds like the special effects were pared down from the West End version, but still pretty amazing. Ended with $7200 this time. Thanks, Marc!!
I was also excited about the $1000 Squiggs category--one of my all-time favorite musicals!
I would suggest a title "On The Road" of shows that died there before reaching Broadway.
I'm BONKERS about the movie High Spirits!! Lol hadn't heard of the musical but as a massive Blithe Spirit fan I'm so excited to dive in!!!

Just stumbled on your channel enjoying it very much. Do I Hear a Waltz was the first musical I thought of for the Sunny Italy category
I was in High Spirts in a community theater at 13! I have that entire score memorized. Also 17,200 for a final score, not too bad!

Great big goose egg for me, although I got close with Blithe Spirit at the end.

Wish I could give an extra upvote for The Muppets!
final score 21,000. I actually got all of the 1000 point questions correct. I think it was the first time that has ever happened to me.
I commented on the last episode, but not until a few days later. Not sure if you saw it., I love this game.
Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️
I got $4800 in this round 😊
Legs Diamond... woof
22800 final score. Missed the Squigs Glinda, thought Cinderella. Didn’t know Salad Days, Princess shows, and forgot Chipmunks.
Learned a lot, only got 3400 (lost 800 on the final, knew the play but not the musical's name).
Ended with $5000
