Can't thank you enough for creating this!! I'll never get to Broadway for real, but your UA-cam channel & national tours feed this isolated fan. So many fun facts!! Thank you thank you
Bloody fantastic episode Marc!!! We all know which Norma Desmond thought that jump scare was the most frightening thing this Halloween!!! 🎃 This was a really great episode and it was the perfect way to end a rain shortened Trick or Treat! Lots of love from all of us - April, Christopher, The Notorious MMB and the Fabulous Izzy B! Happy Halloween 🎃
Yep: I one one of the geeks super happy you included Eating Raul - (One Last Bop!) But I blew it cause I bet it all on the final question and didnt get it. BTW, that shirt looks good on Marc! Keep up the fun stuff! and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
When the national tour of Damn Yankees went through Indianapolis, we saw Jerry as we were eating at a restaurant in their repurposed Union Station. He was just walking by, heading I don't know where. My mother, being my mother, called out "Hi, Jerry!" and waved, and sweet man that he was, he stopped, replied, "Hi, have a good day!" and went on his way. Made her year, I think. :)
Dance of the Vampires is in my top 10 all time favorite musicals. I saw it about 20 times or so on Broadway. With big sets and songs, I don’t get why it closed so quickly. I absolutely loved it! And I brought my friends along with me too and they also loved it! It was one of the best Broadway experiences I ever had! Phenomenal scenery sets and singing! I have a garlic piece too!
I got most of these questions and ended up with $9,600 before the final round. Also, I saw a local production of "Forever Plaid" when my middle school choir class went to Chicago years ago. What I remember the most is how one of the members dressed up as Groucho Marx during a scene where they impersonate 1950s/1960s celebrities.
7000 (lost 800 on the final). Did not know there was a musical version of "Eating Raoul", but still got the question because your description was so on-point (and I love that movie).
Happy Day of the Dead! This is my first Broadway Jeopardy episode. Sweeney Todd is my third-favorite opera after Tosca and Porgy and Bess, and maybe my second-favorite musical after West Side Story. Also, I begin every October watching the film Little Shop of Horrors. This year (2024) I watched or listened to two or three productions of Sweeney Todd via UA-cam. Although I think the Tim Burton film is good, I don't like its Gothic Kewpie-doll aesthetics or the way they de-opera-ized the music. No chorus?! BTW, you reminded me that I haven't watched the film The Witches of Eastwick yet!
Final tally: $8,500! Better game today. Subtracted $100 from Final Jeopardy. I got all the $200 and $400 questions. Got all but one question in the $600 and $800 questions! Those $1,000 questions were hard!
Just saw Teeth last night at New World Stages. Not necessarily Halloween related, but dark and spooky in its own right, great one to see a day before Halloween! The folks with branded ponchos in the front row "splash zone" reminded me of a local production of Evil Dead! Also, thanks for sharing the amazing pieces from your prop collection! I just got a piece from Beetlejuice, and am starting to build mine!
Better late than never! A respectable 8600, way better than I thought I was going to do! Lea Salonga and Sutton played Mrs. Lovett? Those I've gotta see!
Edmond from Royal Oak MI....Thinking a had it in the bag -- I bet all $10,000 on the final jeopardy only to tank the final! SCARRREY!!!!! Ended with NO MONEY -- now that's scary!!
I got $5000 after losing $800 in final jeopardy. I love horror musicals but there's much broadway history in these it's so hard! Not to discourage the difficulty. I've been watching every week since episode 1 and think the videos are great. But my score always seems embarrassing to comment. 😅 I always think it's amazing how high the production quality is. It's surprising when I see the views cause I expect so many more.
Thank you for your long time viewing!! I know things can get pretty niche sometimes but hopefully the learning journey with some laughs is worth it, haha. Thanks again. ❤️
I saw Lestat in San Francisco and thought there was a lot of good stuff there--and it did sound like all the changes for Broadway were for the worse. I will say that my friend who went with me didn't know any of the books or the movie and was completely confused (and then a few years later he travelled with me to SF again to see Kylie Minogue and I found out that Tales of the City the Musical was also running and once again he was completely confused with no knowledge of the source material.)
I was mentally prepared for Spring Awakening, Secret Garden, Les Miserables, and Follies to be in the ghost category, Jekyll and Hyde to be in the horror story category, and Teeth in the blood sucker category … alas 😔
While I have enjoyed playing the game, I don’t know enough about Broadway to make a competitive score. This time I made my same highest score since the first game I played earlier today - $2800. I will be really excited if I finally manage to reach $3000 or more.
An ALW jump scare is something Patti LuPone lives in constant fear of
Hahaha
I saw Lucie Arnaz at a jazz club in LA last week, and she talked and sang about Witches of Eastwick. The whole evening was fabulous!
I loved seeing your props! How cool!

Thanks for the Evil Dead shoutout! I scored a perfect 30K! Next year don’t forget Toxic Avenger, lol. Cool fake Playbill!

Aww, so glad you enjoyed it!! Sorry about the rain. That’s a bummer!

Thank you so much sir!!
I was hoping for some Jekyll & Hyde, but this was a great episode regardless. I actually knew a lot of them and loved seeing the props!

thanks for another great one!
I enjoyed this week's theme so much! Thanks for another great quiz!
Great show,. Since horror isn't my favorite genre I wasn't familiar with too many of the shows except for Sweeney Todd.
Broadway Jeopardy is the best part of my Thursday!!! Thank you!!
You make my Thursdays extra special!!🥰
Thank you!!
One of the best channels on. UA-cam!!!
Always a Thursday treat!!!
Tell your friends!!!

My closest 100%. Quick correction though, Batboy was based on stories from the newspaper "world weekly news" not "national enquirer"
😂😂😂 loved the jump scare! Very scary! Ended up with $9800 before the final round where I lost it all. 😅 I think this is the best I've ever done 😊

Thanks for sharing your props - I miss Prop Table Tuesdays
Happy Halloween!!!
I was in Bat Boy in college. I absolutely loved it
❤ your props! Yay for the Songbird Playbill!
$12,000 today! This was surprisingly my best score yet. Loved this Halloween theme
Great Halloween special! Made a good $10,000 this week thanks to the beloved Demon Barber
3000! I got them all in the 400 round!
7000 (lost 800 on the final). Did not know there was a musical version of "Eating Raoul", but still got the question because your description was so on-point (and I love that movie).
I totally knew Eating Raoul but couldn’t think of the name. I’m loving this channel!

Let's do the Timewarp again

@broadwaybyghostlight definitely learning! I got damn Yankees today cause it's been in your questions before.

Love this

Aww, haha, I’m sorry. I know, there were so many options I could have done two episodes. Next time. Thanks for watching!

Nailed it
Re: Donna Lynne Champlin (I'm a big fan of hers) have you done any videos on the tv show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, in which she was so brilliant?
Ooof scary one for me. Wound up with only $3000 after final.
$7000, after losing $4000 in the final round.
This phantom sends a rock and roll duo to hell where they meet the this devil himself . What is his name ? Satan , Bill & Ted bogus journey .
I got eating Raoul 😊
All We Need Is A Theme!!
Not sure if this has been suggested but you should team with Tim Nolan with Broadway Up Close!
Who's going to see RAGTIME this weekend?
Going on Saturday!
I wish!! 😭
I saw it!😊
No FOLLIES ghosts??!!
I know, I know 😞 I had a draft with a Follies questions but it got cut at some point. Follies will have to get its own category one of these days.
@broadwaybyghostlight Well, as long as you promise... 😉
Did you just say "over-produced playwright David Mamet"? The only thing scarier than these shows are your hot takes on them!
