It's the damnedest thing. Every time I'm trying to S rank Valley of the Dolls, my game glitches. It turns my beanbag shotgun into an SA58, but only when I'm arresting Voll....
For S rank in Ready or Not, it's not just that you can't kill anyone. You can't have ANY casualties. So if an enemy is shooting at you and kills another enemy or civilian, no S rank for you. I love the beanbag shotgun, but end up restarting about 5% of my matches for killing someone.
The actual reason the beanbag shotgun is the best weapon to get S rank with is, it's a shotgun. And anytime you get to use a shotgun is always a good time.
RoN is missing still the SWAT4 Behaviour of Suspects. They had different behaviours and accuracy depending on their skill level and would comply easier. A Car robber that gets caught would behave differant to a secret service agent. The would yell things like: "i am not dying for that". There was a mission where a botched bank robbery ended in a retirement home and the robbers had no clue on how to use the guns, squatting down and shooting like rambo. Also the time a suspect is stunned was determined on distance to a grenade, protections against it, armour class and if they are on drugs. So the Beanbag was more or less effective and not needed all the time. It was possible to get a good score without having to resort to LL Weapons. There is not enough depth now as there was in SWAT 4. Swat 3 was even more impressive in the way subject behaved.
@yellowsaurus4895 depends how you set it up. I personally mod the game myself so it doesn't detect my mods since they don't go in the mod folder and instead mod the game itself. I really think they should make the beanbag capable of shattering glass. That would help a _lot._ I ended up using a silenced 5-7 to just shoot out most windows preemptively in order for my pepperball squad to be able to actually shoot the enemy. In the SWAT show, I've seen a shotgun that shoots taser rounds (I think?) a few times. It's Hollywood, so I can't say how realistic or practical it is, but it could work in RoN.
Taser shotgun rounds were trialled for law enforcement as a real thing. The reason they haven’t been adopted is ultimately the cost it would have brung.
I had get medal of valor solo in story mode (it means - i was by myself only, no IA teammates, they stay on resp and only moves after all suspects cuffed because with lethal weapon they just kill everyone, with non-lethal not only dying by themselves but sometime get me mad by killing suspects by headshot) It most versatile gun in game, it stuns on sight, it has quite large ammo stock to make solo any map and still carry 6-7 flashes on you, i really love it. The nuance that it has is sometime its hard to get enemy behind cover without killing him, so if you have buddy or two to make medal of valor to, at least one in team MUST be grenadier - carry peppergun with 3--4 mags max and flashes/gas as many as can, so in case of such suspects behind the cover he can pepper straight in their head and stun them.
1:17 In real life you can kill someone’s with a taser. there have been incidents where suspects covered in flammable liquids or flammable vapors were set aflame by tasers
Great video, please make a ranking video on AR's next, or like I believe it's called tactical equipment like the shield. Great job can't wait to see your next video.
I don't really mind the game expecting you to not kill anyone to get the highest rank, I just think it's kind of bullshit that all my officers quit or have to go to therapy after 2 missions if I don't try to save everyone.
Okay this explains why I sometimes find dead suspects on my S rank grinds. Unfortunate that I won't be able to compensate for my shit shot placement and nerves with firerate but I really hate when it's not my fault for failing
@@trustworthydan No the reason was either crossfire, enemy fire, or (probably) my AI doming with beanbags, I have always been using pepperballs in my less-lethal loadout for spam and irritant. I JUST ran a mission with the beanbag and was freaking out wondering how I killed someone with a beanbag. What you said reminded me that there was a BIG difference between NON-LETHAL and LESS LETHAL.
He was talking about in-game, the taser is 100% non-lethal and the only non-lethat/LTL to have a 100% compliance. Some suspects, especially the bomb vest guys in Neon Tomb have resistance to both Beanbags and CS gas and will not surrender unless you taser them. If you take into account real life, some people are allergic to CS gas and will die from inhaling it, so even it is lethal in some cases.
Honest, to god. As someone who tested out being shot by a beanbag shotgun at the torso. Its a miracle that the suspects getting shot by it doesn't fall down at the pain cause fuck. The pain doesn't go away for days.
I've fired HV star non-lethal rounds out of an over-under. Over-under's, aka double barrels have quick follow up shots buts two shots is a poor decision if your life depends on it. Also, their kick is so small you really don't notice it. They are effective to *35 yards* but in reality their accuracy is so bad you wouldn't take the shot past 25 yards.
The way i play to take the S with Beanbag or Peppergun is getting alot of flashgrenades when i run out of them is when i truly panic and yes i killed some with the Beanbag, but the pepper is not consistent and sometimes they run away and find cover to keep shooting. Nvm no lethal runs are truly a horror game.
I had a glitch trying to S rank, where the AI would at random pull out their pistol and murder someone. I took away all the pistol ammo for my element and they just keep bringing it somehow. So Id have a perfect run, just to look over and see one of my officers execute someone. It was at complete random too! They would be good for a few missions and then suddenly go sicko mode
I winged a lucky 40ish yard headshot with the beanbag shotgun....which was both incredibly impressive and immensely annoying because it was the last suspect in an otherwise clean S rank run.
I'm still waiting of the video about assault rifles to know which one to use. (to be fair I'm just having a blast using the P90 and I don't want to use anything else)
beanbag shots to the head ragdolls enemies, but they stay alive if you didn't damage them earlier. At least before 1.0 released. Not sure now because I haven't used it. Makes it the best weapon for non-lethal because you don't need to wait for compliance, you can just cuff them
Beanbags still have two more flaws in RoN from my experience: They can't break windows, but they can crack skulls and destroy fire extinguishers. This is an EXTREMELY important thing on some maps (Valley of the Dolls, The Hospital map, etc) If a suspect wears a helmet - they will still get killed from a headshot. Take Mindjot security for example, they all wear helmets but still die from a single angled shot in the protected area. The same goes for gas masks.
well tbf, the concussive force of something solid SLAMMING into your head, regardless if its that object or the energy transfering through the helmet to your head, is enormous. Your head and neck are still being rocketed back from the impact of the bag. so while a helmet probs does actually help. it still has a chance to drop you.
@@arctic4299 My problem with this is not that it kills suspects when shot in the head overall, but the fact that beanbags can't break glass while they kill suspects that wear helmets, not even incapacitate.
They should REALLY make some options for us virtual cops who prefer more "drastic" solutions to earn Ranks. Arent three headshots in a row a nice feat? Even Unreal tournament have it. Another thing i like to see are double-jump. Also some ammo and powerups spread around would be nice And.. while im on it, some monsters, or even aliens as enemies would be golden. One get bored only terminating humans. Oh one last thing. Character should move WAY faster. As it is now it is almost impossible strafe away from bullets
I was a little sad to learn how little are less-lethal and non-lethal options used by law enforcement. It's really a sad reality. I mean imagine if all police officers could wield weapons that were non-lethal but just as effective. Criminology studies have been showing that criminals only care about chances of getting caught _alive_ *and* if they face consequences. Death penalty for stealing -> more stealing. Death penalty for stealing but officers just let you go because they know you'll get the death penalty and don't want to do the paperwork -> habitual stealing by everyone as a way of life, criminals laughing while they're getting arrested. 1 day of jailtime for stealing but there is a 100% chance you get caught and have to give back what you stole -> only complete psychopaths attempt stealing. Do crimes but die before getting caught -> psychopaths don't care.
so the issue is a lot of the time in real life less-lethal just doesnt work and if there is multiple cops on scene at least one is carrying/holding some kind of less-lethal if its a beanbag shotgun or 40mm but if that suspect raises a gun at a civ or officer they aren't gonna hope that the less-lethal works they are gonna do what ever they know will work and that's lethal. in a perfect world there wouldn't be crime but less-lethal would always work and you wouldn't need to be as worried but CS gas/Pepperballs/pepper spray doesnt work on everyone, tasers dont work if you have thick clothes or they just dont attach. beanbags works if the person isnt on drugs. and officers cant just aim at less-lethal spots with their firearm cause the less-lethal spots are often smaller and thinner making a larger chance of missing and possible hitting something/someone beyond the target
@@abominablesnowman646 Yes, exactly! I thought about this a lot since. I am dumbfounded and sad I can't think of a single even compromise solution. It just sucks all around. Nothing but better crime policies and making sure people have means + addressing extreme inequality in close proximity
@@MenkoDany The issue isn't that they can't think of a solution, it's that anything NON-LETHAL won't stop a guy from harming a civ he is pointing a weapon at 100% of the time. Cops can't exactly care if the guy with a handgun ends up dead, if the other option is a random civ, or another officer ending up dead when that taser fails to make contact, or a beanbag shotgun round doesn't flinch them.

@@TheTber123 Thanks for replying! I found a video about it so I'll check that out.
@@chinganeer2337 Also there were some issues with the ammo they couldn't seem to work out IIRC.
luckily with a recent hotfix they patched swat team from killing npc's with non lethal.
You can also fire bean bags out of inertia operated semi-auto shotgun
INERTIA DRIFT
Its currently 2 am and Im lovin' the shotgun noises
I had get medal of valor solo in story mode (it means - i was by myself only, no IA teammates, they stay on resp and only moves after all suspects cuffed because with lethal weapon they just kill everyone, with non-lethal not only dying by themselves but sometime get me mad by killing suspects by headshot)
It most versatile gun in game, it stuns on sight, it has quite large ammo stock to make solo any map and still carry 6-7 flashes on you, i really love it.
Tranquilizer dart mosin nagan when ?
"Foolish boy, take this" BAM
I'd use it.
Metal Gear Solid: Sake Eater? xD
0:53 there’s actually one or two pepperball rifles, they’re pretty fun to use as well
It’s the only LESS LETHAL. Pepperball guns have really minimal chances of killing, and they can’t in this game, making them Non Lethal
This Shotgun was my go to for s ranks run. I got the all maps on S after many tries.
The hotline miami music convinced me
i wasnt expecting the hotline miami music to come up at 6:40
I love non lethal runs, idk its just feels more rewarding with the extra challenge
good point about the recoil. they should lower it. :)
Excellent analysis. Almost no recoil is apparent in a beanbag shotgun.
1:17 In real life you can kill someone’s with a taser. there have been incidents where suspects covered in flammable liquids or flammable vapors were set aflame by tasers
That arms dealer house arrest mission is the easiest one to get S rank, there are only 4 of them and all are poorly armed except for one guy with SMG.
Just uh, watch where you shoot
Kinda ironic they're arms dealer.
@@copter2000 Well, they’re selling all the good guns so they’re kinda stuck with crap

Sounds like it's your fault for failing though. Start by taking responsibility, then improvement will follow.
@@trustworthydan No the reason was either crossfire, enemy fire, or (probably) my AI doming with beanbags, I have always been using pepperballs in my less-lethal loadout for spam and irritant. I already admitted to not being very good and implied I would change how I do non-lethal runs, so I kinda fail to see how I'm not taking responsibility
I JUST ran a mission with the beanbag and was freaking out wondering how I killed someone with a beanbag. What you said reminded me that there was a BIG difference between NON-LETHAL and LESS LETHAL.
Good video 👍 Your conclusion there reminds me of the way Ahoy closes out his videos lol
In the hospital lvl currently with pepper ball guns, keep getting wacked. Gonns try this shottie
Technically a taser also counts as less lethal as there’s a non-zero chance that you mess up their heart or something with the shock
Ah yes. The greatest part of any run, Drip or Not.
I control the beanbag shotgun, ai get the pepperballs… they blind them and im insurance to make sure the enemy surrenders
funny thing about bean bag shotgun is headshot rate is higher for no reason
Honest, to god. As someone who tested out being shot by a beanbag shotgun at the torso. Its a miracle that the suspects getting shot by it doesn't fall down at the pain cause fuck. The pain doesn't go away for days.
the "adrenaline" probs is boosting them stats lol
Hotline mismi music goes hard
Missed the days when pepperballs are still lethal
the pepper spray pre-1.0: 🗿
I'm still waiting of the video about assault rifles to know which one to use. (to be fair I'm just having a blast using the P90 and I don't want to use anything else)
well the video is out now :) Lol
Rank best AR and best current maps please
every other rank: normal swat officer
s rank: BATMAN
beanbag shots to the head ragdolls enemies, but they stay alive if you didn't damage them earlier. At least before 1.0 released. Not sure now because I haven't used it.
Makes it the best weapon for non-lethal because you don't need to wait for compliance, you can just cuff them
the game forcing s rank to be non-lethal makes me question the point of even adding lethal weapons
Not beanbag but Rubber buckshot in my Beretta over under Double Barrel 12ga... Has a Lot less recoil that normal 00buckshot
Interesting, so they do work
@@civilianuseonly i have not tryed them on anything living but i bet they leave a mark
Hotline Miami outro music was >>>>
Beanbags still have two more flaws in RoN from my experience:
They can't break windows, but they can crack skulls and destroy fire extinguishers. This is an EXTREMELY important thing on some maps (Valley of the Dolls, The Hospital map, etc)
If a suspect wears a helmet - they will still get killed from a headshot.
I loved doing non lethal in swat 4 was way to fun wish this game came to console
lol I remember that day and that body cam at 1:50 mark
They should REALLY make some options for us virtual cops who prefer more "drastic" solutions to earn Ranks. Arent three headshots in a row a nice feat? Even Unreal tournament have it.
Another thing i like to see are double-jump.
Also some ammo and powerups spread around would be nice
And.. while im on it, some monsters, or even aliens as enemies would be golden. One get bored only terminating humans.
Oh one last thing. Character should move WAY faster. As it is now it is almost impossible strafe away from bullets
Is that a specific mod used at 6:55? I hate the default mirror gun camera D: Id love to change it to that if possible.
It's the default one. I have no mods installed other than cinematic camera (not related to mirror gun)
A fellow redneckfledermaus enjoyer, nice
Honestly it's kind of dumb that suspects got stunned by a fucking bean bags but not live rounds to the limbs.
Need a pepperball pistol so using shields with the AI is easier
We need rubber bullets in a later update
Guess I better stick to the pepperball guns... I kinda trained myself to always go for the head.
What do you equip your team with when you're using beanbags?
Pepperball.
Pepperball and gas grenades
The only SS rank weapon in RoN : Beanbag Shotgun
I don't care about reaching S rank, game unrealistically thinks you could achieve S rank. It's just hard for the sake of being hard.
Oh shit just watched the shotgun tier video- Good luck it seems lol
