I don’t have solar. I use an inverter with batteries hooked up. I don’t want a generator because it’s a failure point and then I have to always carry gas. Not something I wanted to do. The solar that I mentioned is to help keep batteries charged on long days in the field. But I don’t have it installed yet.
Love the set up i love the freedom myself i do everything out of my 05 f150 im way over my payload so going to move up to a 3500 this year i just cant do a trailer i work in extremely tight spaces thats just where most of my customers are and ive been doing this since 09 and by word of mouth only no ads on any media site until a customer just 2 months ago recommended me on a public platform and now i got more work then i can handle if your one the fence about mobile work just do it there is a real need for us out there and for the love of god diagnosis and verify the concern yourself dont let the customer do it lol man i got some stories
@masterj7048 It sounds like you're a busy man, I appreciate you sharing your story and experience! I agree with not paying for ads it doesnt bring in customers. organic word of mouth brings in customers and my phone never stops ringing. facebook groups where i live are great so many people looking for quality techs check out todays video at 10am. it all about how 2024 went
I’ve got a smaller set up in a 6x12 that I do mobile diesel repairs out of. I like the hotspot idea. I’ve been thinking of starlink for mine. Good tour!
@ I agree on the price being a bit steep. I am in Ontario Canada and if I point it north for more than 40-50 miles, I’m without cell service too. I don’t know how to send you pics of the wagon. Just finished watching your finance video. It sounds like we’ve got very similar ideas and tactics.
@CanStripey go into the description of this video there is a linktree link there. It has links to my facebook you can send me a message there if you want
Love these videos. I have a shop in Finland but trying to start on a side mobile service. We allready have a mobile van but fulltime worker to do that is hard to find. I like to do mobile allso but lost of my time goes in the shop. Keep it up my man!💪
@diyauto6258 i have state farm for the truck and trailer and all tools. I have auto owners now for the liability. which I had to get through an agent. It took some time to setup though it was hard to find someone who could do the underwriting correctly to cover me for what i wanted. They have lots of questions because most companies have never heard of something like this, Good Luck i hope this helps1
@JR-jf4ok The blue inverter on the back is an inverter charger. so when i get home i plug it in to the house and it charges the batteries. i cant believe i forgot to mention that in the video thanks for catching it!!
Congrats for your business! Are you alone or you think to get other pick up with trailer? Btw for your information, I do also mobile service just for air conditioning at montreal! ❄️😁
@weshleganggg976 A/C for cars or homes? i was a home a/c tech back in early 2000s for a bit i really like it except the attics and crawl spaces. No i dont think ill ever put another truck on the road with this type of business if i had a shop then yes id have more techs
I’d love a q&a session. I’m starting a mobile mechanic business just down the road from you in Brevard county. I have some questions and I really like how you run your business.
@3TsMOBILEMECHANIC people always want me to do mobile and I don't do much especially temp says 6 degrees feels like neg 11 how do you do it, or do u pick n choose, I get it say altenator or battery, but say waterpump on ford 3.5, do you wait till warmer temps
NO i go out everyday no matter what cold, rain, hot, doesnt matter. I only allow a tow in to my home when the job is critical i cant get to them in the field. or its a bog job
@NextLevelAutoDiagnosticsLLC hey sorry yes those are for the rags basically fire safety is what my insurance company wants. so that's what the big fire extinguisher is for also

You will figure it out! I subscribed to your channel just now!
Great setup! I love it. I will be doing this after I get some experience as a technician and, hopefully, retire from this type of job.
You'll be there before you know it.
Great setup! Not too many mobile guys have oxy/acetylene rigs or hydraulic presses on board.
Looks amazing! Quick question who do use for insurance? I tried using State Farm but they declined my due to not being brick and mortar.
