Real waste of Talent, Creativity, Opportunity, Diversity and what not. I can Tell a million faults with Nepotism. Just imagine if the same story would have been played by new star it could have been a game changer. Let me give a simple examples : Just compare if Rahul would have been our Prime Minister would you be seeing similar reforms in Politics and Economy ? It does take some time to adjust with new people but what Zoya did is disgusting. Now I don't to watch Stupid Zoya movies. Crazy women. I really dislike those people who takes easy way out take : Gay Karan Johar

This may have been the case in the 90s but it’s not the case anymore
Nowadays all star-kids are a sure shot success with the strong PR lobbies
They will get movies no matter what till the audience is forced to accept them
Case in point: Tiger Shroff, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Pandey, Sarah Ali Khan
Post 2012 star-kids have taken over the industry and ensured that no outsiders are given opportunities to showcase their talent

Im glad nepotism is well understood these days. A decade back, the value of individuals was determined by their lineage, bank balance, parent's profession and social status. People were literally worshipped for their lineage. It's refreshing to finally see this conversation happening at this scale.

There is a big difference between Hollywood and Bollywood when it comes to nepotism. In Hollywood, star kids go under radar when they first enter the industry. Usually starting on small roles and many times you wouldn't know those actors are related to a famous parent until you dig deep into it. In bollywood star kids get the lead roles from get go and there nepotism aspect is used extensively to sell the movie.

No they do know but thing is, even if u r a star kid you HAVE to give ACTUAL auditions n be selected through the screen tests unlike bolly star kids for whom, audition is just a formality. And in Hollywood u thrive in the limelight purely based on ur talent in films unlike bolly where ppl like sonam, janhvi, khushi, ananya survive in the industry with some money

In Bollywood its a lot more evident. People like Mahesh Bhatt engage most aspiring women into sex trade and drug rackets while their own less-than-talented daughters get chances after chances to perfect their craft. I think Indian viewers should make the effort to give deserving kids a chance. If we have now recognized the Gandhi family's nepotism, why not recognize the Bhatts and Kapoors and Johars make billions off of Indian viewers while feeding them absolute garbage.

Can see the nepotism in Arts too. It hurts when one doesn’t get opportunity just because he/ she doesn’t belong to an influential family & a mediocre artist gets multiple opportunities because of nepotism. In the long run the mediocre starts excelling and the talented one becomes demotivated and goes down with time.

As you rightly explained, no one should lose oneself in the loop of blame game & insecurities...If you're born privileged, you've to work hard not to ruin it & make your unique significance and if you're not, then just work harder on your goal without any second thoughts & not wasting time on thinking about those that are not under your control.....#Nepotism is unfair, so is the life & nature as these don't dance on your tune always.

the thing is that, in a regular office, once you join you still have to prove your work to stay. but in Bollywood, depending on how popular your parent is, there are going to be directors after directors willingly giving you work in spite of your bad work just because they have good relations with the parent. and the web is dense here because the previous generation also are product of favoritism or like Karan Johar says - Legacy Babies!
The irony is that while we are here, discussing how bad these guys were in the movie, Suhana already has bagged a movie with her dad even before the movie was released!

When I finished high school my father made me work with the "pick and shovel" gang in one of his companies. This was for a full month, which was to be extended for another month if I was not equal or better than the other members of the team. This practice was carried out for all the other positions in the company, like operating each machine or such as bricklaying. This was appreciated by all employees, seeing that the son was not given special treatment. After university, this experience was useful in all my employment, having learned the "value of all work". My father had done the same when he first started working.
In Italy we also find something as bad, which is the "recommendation" of a progeny or a friend, meaning that the position is given to someone unknown purely based on friendship or political affiliation.
Again, in Italy there is a saying ..... "the first generation creates, the second generation maintains, while the third generation destroys what has been handed over to them" .......

Those who do not have nepotist advantage... work wittier still.
Accept the game of life and focus on progressing towards your goals... Because "Whiners are never Winners".
But the biggest learning from this video was the definition of nepotism tying itself closely with JOBS alone... viewers need to learn that emotional favoritism in other areas of life does not have anything to do with the real premise of nepotism.

Personally, I have chatted with cricketers from all countries, fim personalities from 11 countries totalling 67, princes, presidents relatives, and king's relatives from 27 countries. Nepotism can be rampant in some of these cases, but competition is their among them, and not at the cost of suppression of any talents.

Problem in nepotism is NOT about getting opportunities because of influence from your forefathers.
The real problem is deliberately killing opportunities for those ones who has no connection or forefathers(non nepotistic ones)trying hard to be on their own without anyones support.
    Text book examples is SSR.
He was working hard when he knew he has no one which is absolutely fine but when film lobbies(KJ and others) were deliberately isolating him so he🎉 no more gets opportunities is THE REAL NEPOTISM issue we need to talk about and highlight.

To stop nepotism the only way is to not watch their movies, interviews or any kind of shows they are cast on. If they are in the cast, just don't watch the movie even if it is good. That's the only solution. Slowly other talented individuals can get a chance and nepotism will be gone for sure as cinemas will face huge losses.
The question to ask is........Can the people do that ???? Hmmmm!!! I doubt that.
If people can't do that...... then I would suggest not to blame nepotism and make it a subject to debate or talk about. At least let someone make a living.

South Africa is a primary example of nepotism in our political sphere.. It is referred to as cadre deployment. It was acknowledged
as such by our chief justice. It involves the ruling party (ANC) placing their party members in every aspect of South African public life. These people used their connections to promote family contacts in the private sector for government contracts and tenders. It has taken the ANC 30 years to destroy South Africa in the name of Affirmative Action and redistribution. It is a shining example of nepotism versus meritocracy. (I grew up in in Durban. It has the biggest Indian population outside of the Indian subcontinent. It is also a reflection of the Indian Packistanian divide with approximately a 60% hindu, Tamil Christian and 40% muslim. But India and Pakistan can learn from this as they coexist peacefully. Perhaps lessons can be learnt as there is too much else going on to be bothered by a religious divide. Also a very sophisticated population and jealously viewed by the black population. English is also m the spoken language. Food for thought.)

Do you really think religion divides people? No, if someone says only my views are true and other's views are false and they(others) should be damned for their false views, this is inherently a supermascist stance and we very well know that from supermacism only comes hatred or dislike towards others.

Ohhh!! Oh!! not watching it .All the best to the spoon fed babies. Our kids are struggling but at the end of day they are doing fairly well and it's great to see them grow by learning from their mistakes. Watching the video for our favourite dear Palki Sharma ❤️

Nepotism can be analogously compared to cussing, especially with close ones; while it may be challenging to avoid entirely, excessive indulgence in it is detrimental to everyone involved. Much like the addition of Indian spices to a meal, a moderate amount is acceptable and keeps everybody on edge, but an excess of nepotism, like an overdose of spices, can spoil the overall experience for everyone.

I agree nepo kids should get chances but all three of them are star kids, should have taken atleast one outsider in lead role...

Nepotism is prevalent in Bollywood and even our legal system. I don't like the concept of reservation as well. Bollywood have already lost the charm. I think the last movie I watched in a theatre was Kantara. I have OTT platforms but series are also psuedo vulgar and soft porn. I prefer to watch Disney series or Pakistani series because they are less explicit. Reservation too makes everything look unequal and less appealing specially govt colleges or jobs. I didn't even think about getting into a govt job or college because I knew I will not get it.

But problem is bollywood runs on nepotism, anyone outside of group has to play slave toe their line or suffer consequences like shushant singh rajput . Justice for SSR we will not forget and never let forget

That's why I like to watch mainstream Hollywood, mallu movies n my favorite kdramas coz there 99% actors can act..infact they act very nicely.... n watch bollywood occasionally when a "Sardar Udham " relese or even a series like "farzi" or "panchayat" relese

👏👏 what a balanced approach. Showing both side . I am all for nepotism. They might get the head start but they have to prove it by their talent only.

Absolutely a murder of the memories of our childhood iconic characters.. its not about nepotism it's about absolute lack of talent and sheer mediocrity of Suhana Khushi and Nanda !!
