Hey Dude! Hope you are you doing well I am watching you from Pakistan first of all I would like to thank you for this detailed video and also with detailed explanation. Now a days I am researching on starting POD business and watched many videos on UA-cam in most videos UA-camrs are talking about Printful and Printify but are watching your video I have knew the thing about is Passive POD and Active POD which is very useful for the peoples who are going to start their POD business as I know for beginner's this is very hard to get your first order and if you are working with active POD system you have put alot off efforts like designing then marketing but in passive side you just have to focus on best designs but big difference between Passive and Active POD in Active POD you can earn a handsome profit but in Passive I saw rates in during your video profit is very low but I think being a beginner we should choose passive POD because we just have to focus on Design's don't need to care about traffic and customers, even your designs are good and it can be give you a handsome return in first month My father told me many time don't run for the money always focus on the sales if you are offering cheaper price with low profits and getting high sales you will earn handsome amount instead if you are offering high price with high profit but you are getting low sales then what will you earn so In the end I would like to ask to channel owner and comments reader who are agree with me I think passive POD is mush better than active POD, don't see high profit as a beginner focus on high quality designs and free organic traffic you are receiving with zero efforts.
Many thanks Greg for clearing up some panic issues as you mentioned in the video, Actually i am a very new print on demand seller added 5 designs to Teepublic and 5 to Red bubble, but i am not able to see my listings, after watching your video i am sure the day will come, thanks🙂
Thank you @GregGottfried! Can you explain quality and prices for passive t-shirt POD's? Like TeePublic all t-shirts are the same price correct? Like $20 or $16 on sale, but are the quality of the material/fabric of the t-shirts the best? Because doesn't RedBubble have different t-shirt prices based on the quality of the material/fabric of the t-shirt? So since TeePublic prices are all the same, is that like buying the highest quality/price on RedBubble? I just want to know what company you recommend for the best fabric/material quality of the t-shirts that are the most durable, last the longest and also has the best ink/print quality as well. Thanks!!
Thanks for all the great info! My question is can I do both passive and active options at the same time? I'm trying to create a brand name and have a website but want to get designs up on passive websites to get started. Will the passive websites end up becoming competition because they might sell the products for less?
Was looking for more information about ease of use, ease of design, mock ups, integration, etc, for Printful, Printify, and Gelato. But I suppose there is a whole other video for that. Link? …. It seems that the design tools in Printify are much better than Printful, and that is why I switched over. But … the mock up generator on Printify is lacking and, I think, Gelato’s mock up generator is better (still to be determined). So, to make up mock ups now I have to generate images with MidJourney, then try adjust with Canva, etc. lots of work. Looking to simplify.
They made some big company vision changes (with new management) and started catering to established creators (essentially they went to Active POD). I replaced them with Teepublic in my process.
They are a good one for sure. Smaller for now, but a great team running the platform so they very well may become one of the big three in the coming years.
Hey Greg. Just a quick thought: if we get refused for Amazon POD and have to use a different email address, but we're using a specific email address for our business, it'd be helpful if you could cover how to have email from the accepted address forwarded to the business address. Just a thought. Thanks!
You forget something about Etsy. .you wait to sell and after you get banned, forced vacation mode and you start sending documents to prove that you are You! So CEO fails you pay your order and you don't see the money. Real nightmare
Great video. I have a few questions though. I've noticed that on most of these, there are different categories like shirts, mugs, pillows, etc. So with that being said, do I just upload a design and then the customer decides what they want it printed on? Also, you make a poster or picture in a frame out of the designs? I couldn't see it anywhere.
I do all my POD courses for free here on UA-cam. I don't charge for any. Once per year I usually do an updated full tutorial for POD, that's my closest to a paid course.
Do you get a sample sent to you before it goes on sale to the public ? I want to make sure I like the quality of the items before it goes on sale to the public
No, not unless you purchase one yourself. No free samples for beginners. I asked him what POD site he recommends for the best quality/fabric for t-shirts so I hope he answers, lol.
Greg can I get help with the design from any of the companies you featured I have slogans and acronyms I want use I just need help with designs thanks for your response
I was amazed by his energetic and detailed explanation. The information you provide is very valuable. Most people cannot access this information without purchasing training. So thank you so much
Hi! Is there a POD company that will house my designs and my customers can order directly from them? I would like to be able to post the products on my website (not a store) and clicking the products would send them straight to the POD company for purchase and delivery. Is this a thing? Thank you!
Thanks for the info! With these can you still have your own “storefront” that you can share with your audience? (We have a website, social, and podcast following)
Just keep trying like he says; he said that the first time most ppl are denied, so keep trying. In the meantime use another POD site then when you get excepted to Amazon Merch you just use and transfer the designs over that you already created on the other POD site like RedBubble or TeePublic.
I'm actually watching this video because i'm deleting my spreadshirt account and going with someone new. I bought a couple shirts with my logo on them, and the washer/dryer made it peel off. Looks great until you wash them.

I think the best pod company is the one that have best quality, easy to design tools and fast shipping. I wish there's one like that out there.
yea exactly , all of these suck in terms of quality because of low customizability
Can you recommend one of them please?

Greg, thank you for the no fluff pod videos. Can you make one about using good keywords (tags) when listing on the pod websites?
Thank you! And yes absolutely!
Thanks for posting this to clear up some questions. Truly appreciate your time!

Absolutely. Let me see what I can put together

What about Zazzle ?
I deal with tons of customers worldwide , printify could operate and ship worldwide or specific areas only ?
They can operate and ship worldwide 👍
Hi what is your opinion about working on teespring website. Plz can you guide us more on teespring
They made some big company vision changes (with new management) and started catering to established creators (essentially they went to Active POD). I replaced them with Teepublic in my process.
Is Amazon mod strictly for clothing? Do they have mugs?
Spreadshirt sounds quite interesting 🤔👍
They are a good one for sure. Smaller for now, but a great team running the platform so they very well may become one of the big three in the coming years.
This is the first time I've heard you talk about Spreadshirt! 🤩

Hi Greg. Thanks for the video....can you still use Social Media to link to a POD site with your business name directly? Thanks
So can I link my spreadshop store to Etsy?

I’m looking for a print on demand in Japan for selling in Japan only,

I thought Spreadshirt would not let you have your designs on other POS websites?
I was amazed by his energetic and detailed explanation. The information you provide is very valuable. Most people cannot access this information without purchasing training. So thank you so much
Glad it was helpful! And thank you for the comment. If you run into any questions at all, just let me know!
Is there any POD company with no registration fee, good quality and support?
you could try Merchize, they have a quiet support team and competitive base cost
You can try Printify or Merchize, but I prefer Merchize because they quickly respond to messages and support.
Can we do amazon w/ printful?
So sad you didn't include awkward styles on this list. I was waiting for your opinion about them.

Yes. Printful, Printify, Gelato and other POD will help you. Do some research on them.
You mentioned Zazzle in a video a long time ago. Do you no longer recommend it?
They didn't fall into my top sites like I'd hoped. I think they are great for customization though
Hi Greg, is it still worth operating a 'passive' POD business without Amazon Merch?
I was declined for Amazon's merch on demand with no explanation why.
Just keep trying like he says; he said that the first time most ppl are denied, so keep trying. In the meantime use another POD site then when you get excepted to Amazon Merch you just use and transfer the designs over that you already created on the other POD site like RedBubble or TeePublic.
I like the long sleaves
Thank you

What about printful and Amazon print on demand professional seller plan at $39.99 ?
Technically you can do it, but I only recommend it if you're unable to get into Amazon Merch On Demand.
@@GregGottfried thanks for the info
How do taxes work for these passive sites?
Appx how many designs do put up a year
Can I get buttons made from these companies?
How much profit will these companies pay?
Depends on passive or active. But as a general statement, we get between $2-10 per sale.
