Phillip, I just found you today and let me tell you that you are one of the most honest UA-camr out there. You don’t inflate things to get subscribers. Now I’m going to watch all your videos because you offer exceptional content. Thank you so much!
Love this channel! Instead of messing around with us like those other channels with their click-bait thumbnails ("10000$ income each month!"), he is honest & always keeps it at a realistic level.
Thank you very much!
Agree, I watched so many videos about Print on Demand and this one is the best, second good one is called Alek, he also shows tools he uses and how to use.
Agreed!
Agreed....really appreciate this content and advice. I'm a single Mom in a ton of debt with very little time but willing to put the work in. Advice like this is so valuable ❤
agree, so put off by click bait manipulation.. although I may watch I will not subscribe out of principle.
You are my new favorite youtube rabbit hole guilty pleasure. I love that your vdeos get straight to the point, no fluff, easy to understand!
Philip, thank you! Really appreciate the honest reviews.
This is my first time watching one of your videos. You did an incredible job with this video. I really benefitted from this information. I am a creative writer. I have so many current designs and design ideas. I can see value in using all of these platforms for specific designs in my portfolio. Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for the lengthy video. It was very informative!
Thank you! This was very informative and helpful.
I've watched 10 of these vids. And learned quite a bit. Thanks
You’re my favorite channel. Definitely someone I want to interview when my podcast drops. Super informative! Just the video I was looking for. I prefer using your affiliate links too.
Wow, thank you! I would be happy to come on your Podcast :) And thank you for using my affiliate links!
Thank you for all of this information. I had no idea where to start with my PoD, so this really helped.
I am planning to start selling on one of these platforms, digital goods. This overview and pro’s and cons is very valuable for me right now. Thanks so much, Philip! ❤
How's your business going??? Plz tell
Thanks for this great video! Very informative!
very valued content, thanks philip
Great video which must have taken a bit of work. That's for sharing this info. I'm only on merch currently but this has me thinking....
TONS of value to this video. Thank you!
Really appreciate your efforts regarding POD Philip, Can you please do a Shopify Print on Demand Tutorial?
Thank you for this video ❤
Found this from trying to find custom print products. Nice, clear explanation. Thank you from a buyer
Glad it was helpful!
I am so happy I found your channel! I started POD last week. Can you make comparison video of POD suppliers from China & Vietnam like: Yoycol, DropshipCN, Merchize,...
Wish you included print quality comparison of each brand instead of just talking about the shop features, especially quality seem to be an issue on some of the companies.
Very informative video...thank you!
Great video thank you! One issue: Thumbnail includes "would recommend" and "wouldn’t recommend." And some logos are blurred. But in order to understand which you would or wouldn’t recommend i had to watch the entire video super carefully and take notes. A "conclusions" at the end would be HUGEly helpful. Lots of people are busy. Offering a conclusion at the end of your video is a big deal to lots of folks. Great video but i’m not subscribing because i don’t subscribe to channels that play games to force you to watch. Be well, have fun! 🤘
Zazzle changed so much over the years. No more quick create either, and after so many days your designs won’t be available in the marketplace if you haven’t sold any and it’s per product not per design so it’s a little harder. it’s definitely a lot of work.
well done.. thank you. I really like how you lit the video. I also appreciate your non sensation/click bait style. As a matter of practice I do not subscribe to people who use sensational click bait tactics... like the OMG hands to face approach.
if you did more "pro and con" vids, it would be a cool easy effect if the matching lights for pro and con came on when you started touching on each pro and can
very informative,thank you!
You are welcome!
Most comprehensive and objective summary. FAA
Thanks for another great video. You mentioned that you sell mugs and t-shirts on ETSY. In your opinion is it better to have it in one store or open an individual one for each product?
Thank you! Great video!
Thanks!!
Great video!👏
Great video. I'm trying Tostadora and spreadshirt right now
Did it works for you there?
@@chesskick not at all. 0 sales
That’s a great list Philip- could you put them in order from your perspective? Do you recommend selling/doing events? Have you tried that?
Thank you for this, I've been SO lost & feel like I've been going in circles for a year now.
thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm going to watch a different video a day! Quick question: Do you sell the same designs on different platforms?
Great to learn that the only one worth being in is the one that rejected me lol!!
Thank you for this excellent and informative video! But I have another question: you mention certain possible turnover figures per month. However, based on roughly how many products you have online?
Yeah, the rejections in MBA happens mostly when you forget to uncheck the youth option for certain designs. Then have
to repost again which can be annoying sometimes.
@PhilipAnders - do you ever use multiple platforms simultaneously?
Thank you! 🙏
Very helpful video thank you..
You are welcome
Great information! You saved me from doing a spreadsheet
awesome info sir
Thanks!!
Great video!
Thanks a lot!
Very informative video
Honest review ❤
Thank you for this amazing video, and I want to ask with your experience, can I add the same design to many platforms.
yes you can add the same designs everywhere👍
This was a great video for those of us just getting started. Thank you! What were the tools you mentioned that help with tracking Amazon Merch sales?
Thank you! Pretty Merch & Productor ;)
if you already started, how is it going for you?
Addition to Spreadshirt: when more of 10% of your designs get denied you'll get 'lost in space' which means limited uploads and i think a few other things
What are the reasons why designs get denied?
@@jgk381In my experience similarity like mentioned in video 'scalable designs' or designs with similar graphics, but also low quality designs(low resolution etc) and designs that are not altered enough.
I started a shop and designs that are good quality or okay to sell on others I have copyright or design quality rejects so I just stopped uploading to it
I unfortunately put a lot of time and effort into setting up my RedBubble shop right before they introduced the god awful tier system. Feel like it's time to start branching out to some other sites.
I hope this video helps you out with that!
I couldn't phone verify in Redbubble .so gave up
I saw a really good video, maybe it was this channel that talked about having 1000+ items on Redbubble and still was only able to do $2.82 in sales. I wasn’t able to find the video but pretty much it seems that Redbubble is a dud.
Thanks for your time and explanations! WP-EIN? I could not register. Where do I get this number? What does this number mean? Or can I choose another option? This field remained empty for me.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Hello Philip, thank you for the great video, about spreadshirt you know they have marketplace and open shop so which one you were referring to ? and which one is better , thank you !
marketplace ;)
one more thing,,, is I like your Video picture thumbnail you put.👍 on the left side you put the POD you liked the most? and on the Right side the negative POD platforms? but some of them are blurry and i can not read those. can you tell me please which are the positives and which are the negatives as in your thumbnail? Thank you
Great and informative video, thank you. Team up with Juna and Jimmy and start your own platform, that would be awsome. 😜😎❤️
Who is Juna and Jimmy?
@@AndreMoreira-eg4pl Juno from Detour Shirts and Shimmy Morris.
@@hildelunde9260 Thanks for your attention, I already follow Jimmy Morris, I'll check out Juno
Very helpful English man
i just got rejected from MBA today. Got permanently banned from Etsy yesterday for registering. Redbubble won't let me sign up lol. Not the best start. Is there a way to try my luck with MBA again or am I screwed?
but amazon seller central is cool with print on demand? as long as mockups are accurate and shipping time is good we are set?
Another CON on Etsy is that they don´t receive sellers from all the countries (there is a limited list of countries that can sell on Etsy)
according to this video which plateforms of POD is best for beginner and also free??
another excellent video felipe, but I would like to tell you that I'm just starting with my designs in t-shirt, mugs and some stickers, so I ask you to give me at least 3 stores to start and not see me saturated as a beginner, thank you very much, greetings from latam.
Are those profits from a personal brand items or general niches?
Hi Phil. I have been busy, so I haven't been watching as much. I am wondering what you think about making a free website with Ecwid or Big Cartel? You only get to list 5 items with the free website, but if you have a good niche, I think it could work. You would have to advertise yourself though. I think it could be a great start, though for FBA or POD. Just wondering your opinion.
If you are good at marketing / have an audience to drive to the items and a good niche, that could work. As a beginner I would say it's easier to get sales with established POD platforms rather than driving your own traffic
Do not sell on ETSY!!! They eat up your money on ETSY Ads!!
so, where I can sell my design then?
Very useful insights.
Quick question: if one is based in a country other then USA and sells to USA, UK and Australia etc. does she needs to have selling license for that country and also files tax returns for that country every year as business/ individual? Please make a video on tax returns related information. Thanks
Can you recommend some POD supplier?
I never get accepted from Merch by Amazon. I applied so often...
It’s hard to get into, i have up
I'm wondering: do you upload the same designs on all those various platforms and marketplaces or do you create unique ones for each and everyone?
all the same typically ;)
How's the organic traffic on Teepublic and Spreadshirt?
Are we allowed to sell same design at different marketplace ?
Excellent and interesting video. Re Fine Art America. This has to be the worst site out there. Not one sale in 15 months. I know I am not alone in this opinion.
The problem that I have with amazon merch is that, you really have to try, to get access to it.
Is there any special trick?
there are no special tricks, unfortunately they don't make it very clear what's required to get accepted. It has always been hard to get in, however some people are still being accepted according to some polls I did recently. And many people also get in after multiple applications rather than with their first
How many art do I need to upload to be getting these monthly figures please?
Can I upload a theme only on one product, e.g. a sticker, to see if everything is ok with it, and then after its approval, use it on other products already without the verification procedure?
Do you suggest joining all of these good POD platforms or do you suggest focusing on a few? It it much maintenance or upkeep once your designs are uploaded and for sale?
at the beginning focus on 1-2 platforms then expand once you got used to the process and have some designs built up
@@PhilipAnders thanks.
How many hours a day do you work on POD?
To get answers from amazon you gotta be pushy (but not too much)and build a personal relationship with someone at the company... kinda like dating fun stuff😢
I have an Amazon Seller account. Should I use that account to register kdp? Or should I use another email to sign up. Are they related? Thanks Philip!
They are not related, prettty sure you can do it either way ;)
Can you recommend me a good marketplace with good margins and fast shipping if I drive traffic from FB?
Amazon merch on demand
Ok, I love your channel and I learn a lot. Maybe I missed it, but when you mention how much money you can make on each platform, did you at any point said out of how many designs? In other words, to make $200-$300, You need to upload 500 designs or 100 or 1000. If anyone caught that, would you please let me know. Thanks.
There is no right or wrong answer really. You can make $1000 a month on Merch with 100 designs or with 10,000 designs. There is too many factors that play into it besides just the quantity, niche selection, design quality and listing seo are all super important too.
26:03 Who is Juno you're referring to? Do they have a YT channel?
Yes, it's Juna from DetourShirts. His YT channel is also great and very informative.
Than should one venture into pod at all ? As it seems everyone has some bad experiences with it
But you might have great success. You just never know unless you try!
Can I add same designs to all the platforms?
You sure can!
There is no wall art in tostadora why did you mention that!!!! 🤔
For me amazon merch is only best for big tiers but the worst for low tiers
also, getting approved is a PiTA now.
Hi good informative video..thanks..so can u upload Ai generated designs in spreadshirt and what are the dimensions to upscale for Aidesign for zazzle,Teepublic ,n spreadshirt. Thanks
I believe you do have the possibility to change prices on Spreadshirt - but only on your OWN shop.
Yes that's correct. I was referring to the marketplace option in this video, not Spreadshop
Have a Amazon Uk shop but have no any strategy to start Bussines for almost 5 months . They don’t take me pod merch because I am new. I will be so appreciated if you give any strategy that like pod without investing a lot of money . Is there anything like that ? Thank you so much
Thank you, your content helps a lot. you have Arab followers also, It will help us more if you include translation in the video. I hope you will think about this.
Great video but I couldn't watch until the end because the background music was so distracting x.x I couldn't stop hearing the loop over and over again while you talked. May be if it was lower it would have been OK. The content of the video was super interesting though
Hi Philip.. Thanks for every VDO you've made
My name is Wila Due to time constraint to find it by myself
I have less time to create products for my customer so I have one question about POD product.. Refer to your experienced about POD Business , Could you please help me or recommend which market has Polo shirt product that I can Placed my design and make business.Thank you for your kindness ( Noted That My customer located in US market) ...
What about Printful?
Hi
Are you saying if 100 orders came in and i get zero money till customers get the product ?
I have to pay all 100 shipping etc upfront ??
There keep all the money in there account and not even paying my
Print company lets say gelato?
If there only holding my etsy profit
That would be ok
But not all the cost of shipping and printing
Thx
you can get paid out every day now. Just on new accounts they keep a bit of a reserve for the first few weeks I think
can any of these other than etsy/amazon make at least $10/day? thats what I pay one of my VA but he cant make me any $ and I cant trust him to log in my etsy account lol
Threadless?
Do you talk about CafePress in your video?
no I don't
Thank you! Have a great day! 🙂@@PhilipAnders
what about Printful and Printify ?
Printify is r+ping your profit every way they can think of. They quadruple their blank prices and they're steadily raising them. I'm looking for somewhere else now. The prices are so high for blanks that your prices will have to be high to even make any money. One person had to spend almost $100 for me to make $19. It's a r+poff.
Question: All the sites have different max MB sizes for designs. Since you auto upload what is the file size range you upload that fits all markets.
I'm asking because sites will say that a file is too small for some products. I'm guessing that you just don't sell the items that require larger file sizes.
Great question! Amazon merch used to require 4500 x 5400 until recently. Hence why that was my go to in terms of dimensions with a typical file size of 1-5mb each. And you're right some of the massive products aren't covered with that
@@PhilipAnders Thanks. How about AI images. How much do you upscale for clothing?
@@wendyon4517whatever POD producer you’re using should state what size is ideal for each product. I just started a redbubble store, for example. And then if you use the upscaler on stickermule, it shows what the new dimensions will be before you begin generating the upscaled image so you can ensure it will be big enough.
I wish you'd included an idea what NUMBER of products you listed in order to reach your income numbers. It makes a big difference in the time investment to get started with each of these. Do you make $200 a month on 10 designs listed, or 500?? The financial numbers are useless without this.
you can expect it to be hundreds of designs to make sales, otherwise it would be too easy for everyone. I would say you need 1000 designs to make some real numbers.
Society6 also likes to take off fanart, so even if YOU drew it yourself, if it's not original, they may take it off. ALSO, Society6 now has limited uploads. So they'll remove some products in your store that THEY think aren't worthy of publishing. Because you're a small business and aren't bringing in the sales or traffic, they heavily limit you on what to sell. I've been completely turned off by them by how they treat sellers.
