I like the fact that in 2007 Romania cut all ties to Ruzzia and it shows, i mean i just was in Turda visting the salt mines and stayed and in a little village/town next door(campi turzii)....they had bicycle lanes everywhere, public electrical bike stations, tennis and football courts, skateparks it was very nice

We never had good ties with Russia. Eastern part of Romania was stolen by them. Then we had 50 years of communism because of them.
Also, they stole our country treasury in 1917, 1st world war: 100 tons of gold plus historical documents and artifacts, of inestimable value.
      Never got it back.
You get nothing back from Russia. They come later to get more actually.

Congrat! Oradea is not a main Romanian city but will do much better since this location which was dead 15 years ago, has developed so much through the mayor Ilie Bolojan (neoprotestant). They don't really have big IT and industry like Timisoara you mentioned, but they have rehabilitated most of the buildings, improving big the infrastucture and some new districts but mainly blocks have appeared. In Oradea there was a need of blocks mainly, in Timisoara the need of blocks is only now, usually luxury homes, houses. Oradea is one of the best Art Nouveau cities of Europe though and will get immigrants now.

We don't have a big IT and industry yet, but we'll definitely going to have in the near future (at least on the industry part). We're currently extending the airport to be able to welcome cargo airplanes as well, we have 2 industrial parks and also a few factories and the number is growing. On the IT side I don't know what to say yet. The only thing I know that in Centru Civic is going to be built a new office building.
We definitely went through a lot of beautiful changes and a lot are yet to come. It's frustrating that we have a lot of construction sites going on and the traffic is horrendous but it's really worth it. ❤
The only downside is that we lack of green spaces, in my opinion. I would love to see more trees but I guess we can't have it all.

Oradea will never be able to compete with Timisoara and/or Cluj on IT, but it does have other sectors which are much more developed and offer a lot of potential. Industrial parks, manufacturing, logistics are very much the core of what Oradea does best, not to mention tourism.

Romania is destroying itself building all this car centric infustructure, I saw so much America here, and that's really bad, so many gross all parking lot gas stations, roads without sidewalks, parking lots bigger than the buildings, waste of space and random cenent fill in, it's building incredibly car centric commercial areas.

These videos are great but what saddens me to see is the sheer amount of deforestation all around. While yes there are some infrastructural improvements, without trees and nature combined harmoniously with the urban development it's nothing but a concrete jungle. Oradea is not designed to be a glass metropolis and one thing I hate about some Romanian architecture is the villas made with modern skyscraper mirror windows it just looks trash 4:44 , it has no character. Romania has some amazing arhitectural masterpieces but I feel like they don't give a damn about giving the city a character anymore and almost everyone builds whatever they want without considering and respecting the local architectural style

@@generalofthearmieseduard9662 When you prioritise buildings over green spaces instead of harmoniously make them both blend in together, it just doesn’t work. It is actually really hard to make up for the loss of green space in order to balance construction vs nature at a later stage. I know this because in my city Bucharest there is a lot of chaotic modern buildings constructions that do not respect the zonal development plans and usually build lots of concrete buildings on top of green spaces which leads to further pollution and therefore decreases the quality of life as a result. It is well-documented man, we are not back in 1950s New York or similar cities. We have grown out of it and realised the importance of balancing nature vs development. Also Romania isn't China either. We have a relatively smaller population. We should strive for new modern developments that blends in with nature. Ultimately we are known for our nature and all I see in this video is a lot of deforestation to make space for average-looking modern constructions.
