My gosh! Why does this city look like the perfect wedding background!? Haha I know that sounds shallow but I swear, every street reeked with elegance! Ps. You guys have better camera quality than 90% of UA-cam, and a bunch of them are straight millionaires! You guys rock 😆
Most of the people have no clue about a camera settings,(most of them use it on factory setting)so it is not about the camera price, but about the person handling the camera. PS: A smart guy ruined my sister's wedding film, because he found out the ,,webcam ext mic'' mode doesn't fill the memory storage fast,so the genius recorded the whole wedding in 320X480 resolution, without sound....
Thanks for passing by 😊 Oradea is the town were I was born ❤ Thanks for talking so nice about my city and happy to see here people from US :) Have a good travel always - cheers
You guys are awesome! Thanks for being so awesome! If you stay a few more days you can climb the Town Hall tower and see the building inside, which is amazing, but you can see the panorama of the whole city of Oradea from the top of the tower.🥰🤗🌺
A very kind staff member who worked there showed us around the city hall. It was beautiful but we unfortunately ran out of time to go climb the tower as much as we wanted to. A week in Oradea was not enough time. ❤❤
In Romania go to Oradea - Parcul Magnoliei - Clink coffee bar , you can get really good food in there and i highly suggest you go there once... Honestly belive it's one great area and you two will have a good time there! Food suggestion : Crispy Wrap with "Cartofi pai" ! ( don't forget a good drink ) ;)
Thank you for visiting Oradea, we hope you enjoyed your time here. ( Currently, the city is undergoing renovations, and in about 1 to 2 years, it will certainly be even more welcoming. )
Awesome video guys! Glad to see you enjoyed your stay in the city I came from to my new home in the USA I love soo much, but used to go back to visit almost every year while my parents were alive. My uncle was priest at the Cathedral, and I was playing tennis on the red clay courts right next to the church in the park if you noticed!?Our house was 5 min.walk from the church. Thanks again!Otto
Thank you for watching! We really loved our time there and miss it. That’s really neat to have filmed somewhere you were fond of while growing up. We love hearing from our friends in Romania ❤️
Lovely city, I like that you can walk around without the fear of being hit by cars! They have been updating the city for a long time already, it seems to be always in construction. Mostly resurfacing and finishing other urban renewal projects :)
They are definitely doing a lot of improvement of the city infrastructure, it was one of our favorite places. It will be even better when they are finished with all of their projects. Thanks for watching :-)
I have really enjoyed y'alls videos. We will be moving to Oradea this summer. Did y'all have a pet sitter for Ollie that you could recommend? We are moving with our two King Charles Cavialier Spaniels.
We loved Oradea! Fortunately Ollie does really great staying home at the AirBNB as we travel when we need him to, so we did not ever use a pet sitter. I’m sure you could find one there though! Enjoy Romania, of the 12 countries we visited it was definitely one of our favorites!
Thank you! We found a couple of them open during the day but a couple closed the whole time we were there. Google was not very accurate with hours either 🤷🏽♀️
That s not our flag!😂 Edit: Damn Oradea is rly the most beautiful city in Romania, ty for reminding me of how beautiful my country is, our politicians made me sometimes to hate it😅
Nice vlog and editing skills guys :) however, "everybody talks about how much they love America and want to go to America over here in Europe" :)) well I must disagree ... not many Europeans even like America (not the American people per se, but the society), to put it that way.. so maybe visiting as a tourist, as the US has a beautiful nature, but Europe still attracts more tourists than the US (about 60% of global tourists come to Europe).
We understand and agree! But you’d be surprised how many people we talk to here that always say how much they want to go to America… We always try to make people understand it’s not what you see in “the movies” as they’ll tell us 🫣
@@thegreatescapers They, just as me, want to go and visit the States, not live there !! And yes, u kinda don like most of the americans, they are loud, noisy and really dont care about the people around them and respecting the country they are in(When they visit). I said "most" of the americans, because ive seen a lot of vlogs lately from american people in Europe who start to take an interest in the history of the places, to not take stereotypes as a fact and start to wonder in eastern europe discovering beautiful places and changing mentality about the balcan area.
Everything is nice there is Hungarian. Hard to see the statue of Ady (great hungarian poet)on the street, and the golden headstatue of King Saint László in the Episcopal Palace. All these things was stolen from Hungary. But nothing is eternal, once all of these will return to their rightfull owners, to Hungary!
You’re right, Oradea was Hungarian for nearly 1000 years, and before that, very few Dacians or Romans lived in the area, the city basically didn’t exist. It only became part of Romania in 1918 and became predominantly Romanian only in the late 60s early 70s after Ceausescu’s industrialisation and urbanisation. Sadly for the entire city, the Hungarian population has been in decline and I think it already dropped to under 25%. I don’t see Oradea returning to Hungary any time soon. It would take something miraculous to happen. Like Hungary becoming the next Switzerland or something😅
@@threesixnine369six Who thought in 1878, that 40 years later a fully hungarian city became part of a surreally extended Wallachia? All the hungarians would laugh on you if you telling them. So just take care, history working on mysterious way. And nobody can predicting the future...
@@threesixnine369six This is false. The Salca archeological site (the current Lotus Supermarket's location) in Oradea is the largest archaeological site ever discovered in Crișana. It's almost 7000 years old, dating back to 4800 BC, and it proves Oradea has been inhabited since then. There are news articles covering this and the city museum has thousands of artifacts on display; from ceramc pots, to tools, to decorative artifacts. So much for "very few inhabited the area".
