    I'm going to pay this the biggest compliment that I can. This is a Hot Chicken sandwich. It is NOT a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Having lived in Nashville for many years I can tell you that locals know that if you see "Nashville Hot Chicken" on a menu board, it ain't and you should be ready for disappointment. It looks amazing. I can't wait to try your recipe.

      I hear you! If I'm not in Nashville I don't order it. This recipe is probably closer to Hattie B's instead of Prince's.

    Doesn't dunking the chicken in the spicy oil mixture get rid of the crispiness of the fried chicken? I love a good crunch.

    • @ilovemeatdotcom
      @ilovemeatdotcom  9 місяців тому

      The key to keeping the crispness is using hot oil. It should be hot enough that it sputters and pops when coming in contact with the seasoning. Dunk immediately and serve immediately.

    • @watervillegangmember
      @watervillegangmember 9 місяців тому +1

      @@ilovemeatdotcom Hi there, I was referring to after it's been cooked, when you swish it around in the spicy oil mixture. Doesn't that "soak" the chicken and take away the crispiness?

    • @ilovemeatdotcom
      @ilovemeatdotcom  9 місяців тому

      @@watervillegangmember If you dunk the chicken in cold or even just warm spicy oil mixture it will get soggy. The spicy oil mixture needs to be ripping hot. Notice I dip hot oil straight out of the Dutch oven.
