Really love your videos man and the effort behind them. And of course, the effort you go through to write everything down and post the recipes to follow along. So many foodtubers publish 'recipe videos' but you go check the video description and there's nothing there. They want you to watch their video, and apparently any time you want to reference the recipe, you're supposed to skip around the video and write everything down yourself while you're trying to make it. It's gotten to the point I just refuse to watch any 'recipe' videos that don't actually post the recipe even if the food looks amazing. Thanks again.
Yesss!!!!! You're on Popeye's. I shared your UA-cam page on a big Facebook copykat recipe site, and people loved it! Hopefully it leads to more subscribers!
I am always amazed by the amount of research you do for these projects. Undoubtedly there were a lot of mistake sandwiches that either needed to be eaten or thrown away until you got the correct taste profile. Also, I never eat fast food but I make one exception: I genuinely love the popeyes chicken sandwich and think its the best out there. This video will let me try making it at home one day!
Thanks a lot as always for the recipes and tests Jason! Duuuude, such high quality research and production! Pleeease do this same research/video for their regular/spicy bone-in chicken. I absolutely love Popeye's and would love to recreate that recipe at home
Hi Jason! I've been waiting for this video ever since you posted the teaser sammich pic (you rascal)! I just ordered all the niche ingredients and will be attempting this recipe soon :D Btw, around this time last year I followed your chinese take out series and posted several attempts on Reddit, including your fried rice recipe from 2022. I was thrilled to receive your message complimenting my take on your recipe! My husband and I still watch every video you post. We appreciate your research and dedication! The advice on where to find specific ingredients is especially helpful. Keep up the stellar work!
Hey there, ive worked at Popeyes for about 3 years now, i can confirm this video is about 95% correct into how we make the chicken filets. I cant confirm if the spice mixture is entirely correct, since it doesnt list all ingredients explicitly, ie it says seasoning, or spices for some ingredients’ along side normal things like garlic and salt. Great job
That damn seasoning is why it took me a couple of months to reverse engineer this recipe. I still don’t think it’s 100%. But it’s like 95%. Also, the tallow flavor in the frying oil does add a little bit of flavor. So, I think that may have something to do with it. Thanks for commenting!
i can envision Jason sneaking behind popeyes at night to go through their dumpster just to find the ingredients list. you sir are a dedicated master of YT cooking videos and you've been officially added into the ragusea-lagerstom-kenji tirad i consume daily.

I'm back again and I totally appreciate your dedication to the cause. Popeye's chicken is worthy of a complete investigation . The spice blend you discovered is not what I thought it would be.
