It’s really a shame to me that not that many people watch these compared to your shorts. They’re so much better imo. The interactions you have with others, the detailed processes, the professional tv-level production value, they’re fantastic. I hope you keep making more of these because I really enjoy them
Absolutely love the owner of 400 degrees! What a lovely woman, and she really does look 21 💁🏻♂️ Ms. Andre was amazing too. I hope I get to visit all of these places sometime. And Andy - I absolutely LOVE this series. Amazing job!
Andy, as a born and raised Nashvillian I want to thank you so much for this video, and for being respectful of the hot chicken tradition, of the iconic Ms. Andre, and of Nashville in general... most videos about the city, regardless of what the topic is supposed to be, eventually devolve into this cliche' stereotypical clown show where everyone is wearing cowboy hats and ironically saying "ya'll" or whatever. So I just want to thank you for keeping it real, not to mention the very high quality content! Cheers brother!
The Auntie at 400 us super cute, is love to eat at her restaurant, and the Auntie at the Princes chicken is lovely she so funny. And uncle paying homage to prince's Chicken, very classy move. I wish I lived near these places is be eating there all the time lol
I know so many chefs who don't want to share their knowledge and listen to others and be inspired by them.... thank You Andy. You are so nice and humble. Keep up❤
Andy you are a national treasure. I am in love with this kind of series if you're looking to go forward with it. You are wise and humble beyond belief. This video alone is gonna boost these business' more than they already are.
I had Nashville hot chicken at Prince’s for the first time back on my honeymoon in 2020. I picked the medium level spice and I was full on losing my shit in the restaurant. Nose running, eyes watering. It was delicious, but anyone who eats their spiciest sauce is a true spice lord
I love the fact you're from the sunny coast and learning/making these amazing meals. Makes it feel so much more accessible being from Brissy. Keep it up mate, love your work.
With how liberal he is with the Ma'am you can tell hes a good dude 👌👌 Respect the product and procedure. As a Nashville native you Sir have earned my blessings! Hope you had a great time and yall welcome back whenever yall want ❤️
I have been waiting for this one Andy. As a former Nashville resident I have eaten a LOT of their Hot Chicken. I hope you had a blast while you were in town. Goddamn I love that city
What can I say other than, Chef Andy, you are an awesome bloke. Thank you for all that you do, you have given me the inspiration to cook way more over the last several months!
Being from Nashville I've been all three of these places and 400 degrees is definitely the best of the three and yes she is like that everytime I come in
Love the new format chef Andy and the Back of House crew, keep up the great work. I hope you guys enjoyed making this as much as we enjoyed watching the content
Chef Andy, I love you Traveling around the U.S. doing these Videos❤ I love Chef's that are Passionate about all Cuisines and not just their Specialties! I, Grew up Eating & Experiencing different Cultures, Lifestyles & Food. Blessings & Love to you & Babe, Piper & Singer a.k.a My Kitty.
Aqui is an absolute delight! I wanna go to 400 degrees just for her! I just smiled the whole time you were interviewing her hoenstly a national treasure!
"Oops, I made a couple small technical mistakes making a recipe; time to book a week-long trip across several locations to talk to multiple owners of businesses specializing in the dish to make up for it." - absolutely no one but Andy 😂
Such a great episode chef! I’m a HUGE fan of hot chicken and being in LA, Howlin’ Ray’s is the undisputed king of HC and also being the first restaurant to bring the dish to LA. Great to see the history of the dish and I can tell you really take the time to research and respect it.
I love Princes. What you may have realized, their 'mild' is like a medium at Hatty B's. Their next one up is HOT for me! I go there every couple months but since it's down in Nash, I just stay local and go to Moore's spicy chicken or Slow Burn. I don't enjoy Party Fowl as much or even Hatty B's. Locals get mad because the wait is STUPID. Go on an off day, non summer time and it's much better.
I need to go back now. Nashville is a little gem of a city! I miss hot chicken from the SOURCE. It became such an over done fad like 10 years ago everywhere which is great but nothing beats the real deal.
What an awesome video! I can’t believe it went by so fast! Just a great testament to your content, editing and everything. Plus I’m from TN and love chicken, lol. keep it up!
Love this and can't wait to see your version! I really wanted to try Nashville hot chicken a while ago but felt like I couldn't find a place in Melbourne that looked decent, so decided to make my own. I purchased a small deep fryer and gave it ago. Turned out good, but I reckon I'll do way better 2nd time. When you drop the how to vid I'll give it another go. Thanks!! 🤙🙂
Prince’s and Hattie B’s are both great. You can hurt yourself, but you don’t have to. Amazing chicken, consistent quality. Bolton’s tries to hurt you. I feel like I’ve done something bad to their mama, and I’ve never met her!
I'm so bad with Names I already forgot the Name of the last Lady but holy moly is she a Sweetheart. What a lovely and Warm human. We need more of that. Wish I could try that Chicken!
I prefer the hipster scene with hot chicken. Was never a fan of Party Fowl or Hattie B's just way too commercial. Very good choice with 400 Degrees, though. They're surprisingly still kinda underground despite being around for like 15 years. Top notch stuff. I'd also recommend Red's 615 Kitchen just by the Parthenon. Their crunch wrap can't be beat.
Just ran across you and this is great stuff! Being from TN I've had Prince's chicken but didn't know about the others. Next time I pass through Nashville, I'll try 400 out. Love that spicy chicken.
There's 3 phases to hot chicken. Phase 1: The initial bite and heat. Phase 2: The heat builds half way thru you're meal and things heat up. Phase 3: When it hits you lower intestine. Andy really took one for the team smashing 3 hot chicken joints in the course of this filming. The real MVP here is his digestive system. Hot chicken is 100% worth it, but phase 3 is a doozy. Part of the experience.
Absolutely loved this video, Andy! going to multiple spots rather than just the one to get varied ways of cooking Nashville hot chicken, So detailed, informative and FUNNY! SCOOT SCOOT 🤣🤣Please don't stop giving us this 11/10 content! PS. Is Babe going to beat you up for the 21 year old comment 🤣
I ordered the reaper hot chicken at Dave’s Hot Chicken here in Green Bay and had to sign a waiver. I love hot foods. The level of heat here is insane and prohibitive. But because I’m so proud I munched it down and tried my best to hide my pain. I’ll try Prince’s next time I’m in Nashville just to compare.
at that last place the more he laughed the more spice she added and then he laughed more from nervousness and she thought it meant confidence he could handle more...1 little bite from every piece before he finally ran away to the bathroom lol
It’s really a shame to me that not that many people watch these compared to your shorts. They’re so much better imo. The interactions you have with others, the detailed processes, the professional tv-level production value, they’re fantastic. I hope you keep making more of these because I really enjoy them
It'll take some time for these formats to take off. Shorts are just that, easy and digestible.... and a gateway to more viewers for Andy!
Meanwhile I’m the other way around. I’ve only seen a handful of his shorts but watch all of his long form videos.
16k views in 4hrs aint bad tho
new generation has tiktok brain
I prefer these to shorts too.
Ms. Andre is a national treasure
She really is
She’s the Dolly of hot chix.
Agreed 👍
Nice to see Peter’s mam doing so well.
Absolutely love the owner of 400 degrees! What a lovely woman, and she really does look 21 💁🏻♂️
Ms. Andre was amazing too. I hope I get to visit all of these places sometime.
And Andy - I absolutely LOVE this series. Amazing job!

Ms. Andre is a gem! Love this series Andy.

This is what makes Andy the amazing cook he is. Going to locations where amazing dishes originate to improve his own cooking. Much luv m8 ❤
Thanks mate
Andy you are a national treasure. I am in love with this kind of series if you're looking to go forward with it. You are wise and humble beyond belief. This video alone is gonna boost these business' more than they already are.
The difference you see when the owners recognise a real chef rather than a presenter lets them open up more about the techniques fantastic Andy
I'm glad to see you're getting the real American experience, real people, real characters! I'm forever proud to be American!
I had Nashville hot chicken at Prince’s for the first time back on my honeymoon in 2020. I picked the medium level spice and I was full on losing my shit in the restaurant. Nose running, eyes watering. It was delicious, but anyone who eats their spiciest sauce is a true spice lord
😂😂😂
You have to work up to, even after 15 years I've still not had the courage to try Hattie B's "Shut the Cluck up"
@@thaphreakshut the cluck up is like Princes mild lol
These origins videos are fantastic. Some of the best food content out there. Thanks Andy and Team!
Andy is the most gentleman of Chefs in the game man. Such respect. Yes ma'am, yes chef. The man I aspire to be. Much love Andy. ❤
I love the new longer videos! But no way am I about to give up the shorts. “Basic Mitch” is hilarious.
What a gorgeous lady. So stunning and personable
What fantastic people! These interviews were so wonderful and a joy to watch
you can tell that they love what they're doing
Damn, series like this is going to push Andy into mainstream media.
This is the content I love.❤❤
This is mainstream media now a days.
I live here in Nashville and been watching your channel for a while now. Its nice to see you making these trips.
Amazing video! Really liked all the owners they felt very professional and inviting. Hope to visit these locations one day.
"If I can do it, you can do it."
Such a lovely lady, love her charisma! 🫶
She's great!
I have been waiting for this one Andy. As a former Nashville resident I have eaten a LOT of their Hot Chicken. I hope you had a blast while you were in town. Goddamn I love that city
Both were amazing and Last Lady's chicken sounds and looks amazing. Yum.
This is awesome. You guys are naturally gifted at this. Would love a full on proper tv show!
Such a beautiful woman. She has a good soul. You can see it clearly. Good job Andy. Nice video my man. Very good job.
Respect to Andy for going places, learning from the "natives" and trying to cook it later.
Aunty Andre is so wholesome . God bless her.
Chef Aqui just seems like an absolute joy to be around. I need to stop by Nashville for her chicken, goated suggestions chef 🫡
What can I say other than, Chef Andy, you are an awesome bloke. Thank you for all that you do, you have given me the inspiration to cook way more over the last several months!
There's nothing better than Nashville hot chicken. So effing good. Love the spicy!
Andy, Chef, Legend! Everything you ate looked delicious 😋 Thanks to you, the team and to all of the lovely people you met! Peace & ❤ to you all!
I love that you are showing your learning process. I’m know more about food and culture of different humans through your lens.
Being from Nashville I've been all three of these places and 400 degrees is definitely the best of the three and yes she is like that everytime I come in
Better than Princes your crazy 😂
Something tells me this lady will live long and strong because she loves what she does.
Ohhh, she is so nice! What a wonderful lady
Love the new format chef Andy and the Back of House crew, keep up the great work. I hope you guys enjoyed making this as much as we enjoyed watching the content
This Origins series is fabulous! Keep em coming!

Wow, I didn't know what to expect going into that, but what a wonderful video! Makes me want to go to Nashville....with Andy
DEAR ANDY, YOU HAVE MADE ME WANT TO VISIT NASHVILLE !!!! FOR THE CHICKEN, AND IT'S MUSIC. OOOOOOH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Aqui is an absolute delight! I wanna go to 400 degrees just for her! I just smiled the whole time you were interviewing her hoenstly a national treasure!

it's a tough life but someone has to do it
@@seth1455 cool name! Haha. I'm glad he does. He really gets into the nitty-gritty of every single thing he does. It's inspiring.
😂
Love it and her personality
No one make it like Nashville tn. They are trying here in upstate but no one can get it right! Princes is like no other!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm old enough to remember having to go to Nashville for hot chicken -- now its "cousins" are everywhere. Great series -- thanks!
Such a great episode chef! I’m a HUGE fan of hot chicken and being in LA, Howlin’ Ray’s is the undisputed king of HC and also being the first restaurant to bring the dish to LA. Great to see the history of the dish and I can tell you really take the time to research and respect it.

👑✨👍
That charming Lady in the third segment... she's a Maestro of Hot Chicken 👑!
Such a fun video.. Thx for sharing their stories and recipes!
Everyone in this video was awesome. Put a smile on my face listening to their stories and experiences
Love Prince’s Hot Chicken! The XXX is an out of this world experience.
Andy is an great cook glad I found this channel
love prince's. The interview with 400 degrees is amazing, she's great.
Omg what a queen indeed... freaken love her!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This was Awesome Andy. I’m really enjoying the longer videos!
Thank you!
Please do more content like this! Really enjoyed!
Love this, easily my favorite UA-cam chef. Cool to see him go to Nashville and try real hot chicken
I love your vibe Mr.Andy!
I'm glad that I found these, I watch all of the shorts. Andy, is a brilliant chef. Confidence tempered with humility and sets him far ahead of others.
Love this series. Ms.Andre with the throwback to Man vs Food
I'm with you Andy, with spice I like to be entertained, not punished.
Only water for moisture was a real surprise, but those looked hella crispy. Really great video again 🙏
Hah this is such a wholesome episode, different techniques and it all looks amazing. These are definitely my kinda people
Oooh shit Andy. I know that’s right!! Thank you for giving the heart of Nashville the true crown of hot chicken. We love Ms. Andre here in Nashville 🥲
Thanks!! 🤙🙂
Ms. Andre is so lovely!!! 💖🥰 & I loved Aqui as well! She’s so much fun! Lol
The overseas and longer format episodes are really cool Andy keep em up!
This is quite an honor to have royalty like this on your channel. Respect
Easily my favorite eating/travel show mate, good stuff.
Every time Miss Andre 'have mercy' I raise my hand and do stank face. What a treasure
Prince’s and Hattie B’s are both great. You can hurt yourself, but you don’t have to. Amazing chicken, consistent quality.
Bolton’s tries to hurt you. I feel like I’ve done something bad to their mama, and I’ve never met her!
For me hot chix is great, but it’s all about the hot fish. Harder to get.
I'm so bad with Names I already forgot the Name of the last Lady but holy moly is she a Sweetheart. What a lovely and Warm human. We need more of that. Wish I could try that Chicken!
Loved it, such a nice group of people.
I miss the old Prince's. It was such a fun place. Order at the window next to the Cake Lady by the old TV with rabbit ears in the corner. Homesick.
Yeah I miss getting a bag of chicken at 2am there after a night out. Always hit the spot!
Man, the good ole days. 😂
400 degree honestly looks fun and amazing!
Great video! You inspired me to travel around to explore, and to cook!
What a lovely lady!
They both were very inspiring
This is so much fun, Chef Andy!
I think I'm in love with the owner of 400?? Ms Andre is a character of the best and highest order too. Very enjoyable video.
Just ran across you and this is great stuff! Being from TN I've had Prince's chicken but didn't know about the others. Next time I pass through Nashville, I'll try 400 out. Love that spicy chicken.
Nashville hot chicken and Texas bbq are my 2 favorite foods here. You really scored on your trip to the states!
As a Middle Tennessean I was like "400 better be what he chooses"
There's 3 phases to hot chicken. Phase 1: The initial bite and heat. Phase 2: The heat builds half way thru you're meal and things heat up. Phase 3: When it hits you lower intestine. Andy really took one for the team smashing 3 hot chicken joints in the course of this filming. The real MVP here is his digestive system. Hot chicken is 100% worth it, but phase 3 is a doozy. OMG Andy, you're a brave man trying that really hot chicken, anything above a mild/medium does my taste buds in for days 🤣🤣
Protect this woman at all costs!!!
i sooooo enjoyed this video. reminds me of my dad (who died of covid) from whom i got the basis of my fried chicken recipe ❤❤❤❤
Origins. Perfect name for a series.
Great! Great! Video!!! Thanks Andy!!!
400 degrees lady is so cute and charismatic.
When Andy said he had to run, 'to blow my nose' was not what I expected to follow 😂
Love origins! Plz keep um coming! ❤
Whenever I feel down, her talk and laugh makes my moment.
at that last place the more he laughed the more spice she added and then he laughed more from nervousness and she thought it meant confidence he could handle more...1 little bite from every piece before he finally ran away to the bathroom lol
This lady is an absolute doll.
