I want to live in it for long periods of time...def need bathroom, shower and a/c heat etc...want Ram and doesn't have to be brand new but almost...dont be wanting to break down...I live in Vegas should I drive down and meet with you to go over options??? @@macabo What about maple? It's not expensive, I don't think, abd from my experience as a drummer, it's very strong for its weight, and light for its density. Compared to something like oak, mahogany or hickory.
Agree. You could also use maple. It's not as "stripey," but it definitely works. The use them for very thick, but extremely light drumsticks. See Heywood Wakefield. They were geniuses in using it for very strong furniture. Only downside, it will take up marks if you're not careful. Maybe a heavy laquer finish. Like you'd use on a bar or tabletop?

It's a good week or weekend getaway but not to live in. In the winter time you will freeze, summer you will fry n the little critters will make it a home. It's good for temporary vacation.
I'd like to spend some time with one of these. Looks like a 100k van for a fairly decent price. In fact, I'd drive one around as a rep. People in general are very hesitant to believe a female could drive a big vehicle easily. I got that daily with a large motorcycle. Even tho the Japanese are experts in balance and engineering. I drone Hondas 15 years on average. No major problems. Not a terribly exciting vehicle, unlike a Challenger with a HEMI or a Harley, but extremely unlikely to break down (unlike HD). The Dodge was recalled twice, tho. Drive belt I think it was and Takata air bags. How does wool hold up mold-wise? In fantasy-land, I'd like this to be under 6 feet tall (stealth street parking, and so it fits in a regular garage), and hidden solar and A/C. With RE being completely moronic now (way, WAY overpriced), many people aren't going to have a choice BUT to live in these...because where their job is would be too expensive to live anywhere near. The average is like 350k now. And that's still very dicey. Single family home is going to be completely impossible for normal people. I ran across one place that had a tag for aluminum wiring in the fuse box. All the hair on my neck went up. It should have been all copper. Why would they ADD garbage like aluminum...? That was 460 in a decent area, no real crime, still 5 miles from my work. Oh, and the garage door wasn't cooperative (there's 500.00+), which made me fearful, what ELSE is wrong? The agent was sure (not that he was a licensed electrician or contractor, of course) "you won't burn up." But why even go there for that money? You'd have to go through the whole house and rip it all out, or I would. I wouldn't risk it. What I saw for 200-300k was...well, it should have been torched. Ick. Trailer parks were twice my rent and worse than areas I won't even drive through in my major city. Parking lots give you more room...
Please note, it's not smart to inhale even wool fibers, and nearly all dust is combustible...You'd hate to have people sick 20-30 years from now. I do like what you're doing, tho. I'd need a used-used van. Lol.

How do managed sanitation? I didn't notice that addressed in any of your presentations. Do your vans have waste hook ups?
We have done black water tanks and under mounted grey water tanks, but most of our toilet systems are self contained.

How heavy is the vans with all that wood added to it?
We add about 2,100lbs (including a full water tank) which is still a few thousand pounds below the payload capacity.
