I've been saying this since sents dropped to 50g: It's too cheap and easy to block pull camps in these patches to not do it. Do it every game, if your support won't do it do it yourself. It is incredibly easy and lane-winning, and it absolutely demolishes anybody that isn't good at supporting, which is very common in pubs. At the very least even if they discover the ward they usually miss out on stacking the pull camp at 2 minutes which is almost always the best play for a support to make early unless you're against ench or something.
The mechanics behind "seeing" the ward when hero is up close is the same like a tall wardrobe - you may not be able to see on top of it, but if you're really close you can touch with your hands. I am not making this up, Gaben told me personally!

You missed a new strategy change with dewarding, which I will share now since it is close to TI. To combat griefing, Valve made it so that wards that are placed in camps by your team can be denied from full health. However, this also means that you can place a sentry ward in the middle of the spawn box which covers the entire camp. So if someone blocks your camp, you can put a sentry in the middle, deward their ward, and then deny your own sentry ward (as it also blocks the camp).
I was so excited about these tips as a new player and felt like a dota god blocking enemy camps. ...Our enemy support however did not try to even go near their camp to pull or stack for the duration of my ward. It did feel really good to block the enemies anchient camp for the whole duration of my ward... But my carry ended up ragequitting when I went to do it because I " abandoned him on lane " (at 14 minutes).
I think neutral creep farming is a more advanced mechanic that shows up in higher tiers. I would recommend for now just sticking to normal supporting (denying and getting early kills) until you're rank goes up a bit! Then you can def be the dota god you are :)
There is a secret highground aswell in the mid lane where you can get stucked after a good hook from pudge. Radiant side, mid near the ramp, about 4 oclock direction

thats why u have to buy quelling blade as a support which is a strong item when u have aether lens which helps u for cutting hoodwink tree .. totally deleting the hero with 130 gold and cutting treant aghs as well as MK as well as dewarding now for my 4k mmr i dont buy it because they place wards in the middle of the jungle and they dont hide it in trees but if i start seeing people doing these blocks ill definatelly buy it as a support u can also cut a tree in the middle of trees and put a sentry there to block the camp

@jenkins can u evaluate the in-game build guides like the torte-de-lini and immortal faith guides? im fairly new to dota and have been following them mostly but I came to the conclusion recently since they make guides for every character they probably cant be that high quality, Where can I go to find out what items are actually good on characters, or maybe those guides are actually ok idk,
I am a very casual player but just know your hero and role. Example what is your heros main attribute? If you have a str core build str items, but also pay attention to what the enemy team has for damage. Do they have huge magic nukes? Then get bkb. Do they do big right click damage? Then get a stun/disable or ghost scepter maybe a halberd. Anyone's guide can't get every hero match combo
Another pro tip, if you get a gem, you can drop the gem near cliffs and it will give you true sight with flying vision on an area. You don't have this much vision at night so dropping the gem will give you sight over cliffs easily.

So, I've been trying to place wards within the camp's perimeter still, but notice that it seems like the ward must be "in vision" so to speak in order to actually block it...like if it is behind a tree IN the camp still it doesn't block...am I insane or was this as a result of some update?
I actually just learned the top medium camp one in the trees because some asshole pos 5 did that to me a couple days ago. I wasted 2 sentries and still didn't find. I had to watch the replay to figure it out. Thanks for the rest.
