I bought these on a whim based on a review. I wasn't expecting much, having been disappointed by the KZ-ES4 chi-fi headphones. I was very pleasantly surprised. These did not need EQ to sound good, having minimal colorations, an extended, non-fatiguing high end and satisfying lows. I actually like these better than my $500 Shure SE-535's.
Damn this the comment I was looking for. My SE-535’s just broke (one of the eartips broke off) and I’m looking for a replacement. Would you say the seal on these is as good as the 535’s and the bass as strong? I’m a drummer who uses them as in-ears for gigs, so they need to seal well and pack a punch.
@@kornee I use the 535 for playing v-drums and I did not find the T3 to be good for that application. They just didn't have the presence that the Shures did. As I said, though, I did like the Tins better than the Shures for regular listening.
Man, I love hearing about the entire range of audio equipment. it gives great perspective on what might be really important vs what is BS. I have always maintained that you can get 90% of the way to your audio listening goals with relatively inexpensive gear IF you are careful, Its always the last 10% that costs the big bucks and for the really fired up its the last 1% that costs really really big bucks, but to many, that is totally worth it! Oh, and this can change for many (like myself) depending on whats going on in life. So please please keep reviewing the inexpensive stuff too! LOVE IT!
It's just like that in cars. Sure your car can go 120-130 mph, but to get that car to 175-200 mph the costs go up exponentially. if it takes 475hp to get to 175 mph, it will take 875hp to get to 200mph. Same thing in audio.

I never wanted to get into it, but after seeing the Z Review on the T2’s I immediately bought one pair just to give it a try. It took me two weeks to learn how to put and wear these iem’s into my ears properly in order to get the best sound experience. At that point I was shocked. In my curiosity I bought the T3 and the planar P1 soon after. I like them all very much. But there remains a weak spot in my heart for my beloved T2’s. I think I’m set for a while. Please don’t review whatever comes next because surely I’ll buy them.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the KZ KS10 Pro's as I think they are amazing for the price. Not the most open of sound but positioning is wonderful.
Never been so disappointed by a pair of iems. The CCZ Melody blow the T2 out the water for half the price. More power, better fit, louder, sound better...
Hey Steve , got me a pair and I am vary happy, not too much at first but after 20 hours or so braking in they are a fantastic buy for the money and well made...
I absolutely agree with you ...... These low cost earphones are incredible. I use them with the AK Norma SR15 and the new FiiO M11 and it’s a real killing on both. Very surprising !
Whatup Steve? Thanks for such a great review and for all these years of your insight and attention to detail. I trust you so much and it is easy to see why. Keep it real my soul brother!
I don't have these, but did spring for the Linsoul ZS10 Pros, and oh my goodness are those good for $55. I reviewed them on Amazon, if anybody wants to take a gander. Those Linsouls even kind of put my new Pioneer X7s to shame, which is disturbing: Pioneer needs to try a lot harder. The ZS10 Pros do sound perhaps a tad excited/boosted, with deep, tight low bass, but in IEMs I love that, I want warmth and bass and they have it in spades.
Reviews of items at $59.00 AND at $90,000.00 are well appreciated! The affordable ones are considered for possible purchase, and the unattainables are valued to "keep the dream alive"! OK!
I may have to check these out. I have a Dragonfly Red that I use with Sennheiser ie800's and they work wonderfully together. I'd like to have a cheap pair of earphones to take with me to the dog park. It took a lot of convincing for me to think that in-ears could be as good as or better than the best headphones, but my 800's are marvelous.

Hi Steve, love the videos, was wondering why there are no reviews for STAX headphones. I had the chance to listen to the SR-L500 last week. It was really a pleasure. best regards
I want to know about the difference with the T3s in terms of high frequency. I like the spacial, airy character of the T2pro and agree with your earlier review in terms of soundstage and definition (or clarity), but they're bright as f***. And even with a longish listening session (at the gym) my ears don't adjust to the cellophane thinness of cymbals and snare shimmer. (Listening to the new Amendola Vs. Blades _Everybody Wins_. Additionally, there's no real body to the low end punch of Amendola's tuned drum kit.)
$69? Excellent! $250? Better! $1000? Even better. Nothing new here, but glad to see the improvements at all levels. Would have been nice to hear about the specific ways that the FiiO FH5 outperforms the T3. Thanks for the review!
The only thing I don’t like about the T3 is the gold color of the awesome stock cable. I always felt like a pimp wearing them, so I got a HiFiHear replacement off Amazon, & it’s almost as nice ($30, I think). That and some Dekoni tips and I use these or Tin P1’s almost every day (P1’s are even better, but like $170
i just use supralux HD688s with a high quality linkerpard 3.5mm male to female. thinking of getting a nice HIFI silver braided copper one from china for when i start mixing this song once the dubs are done
After years of spending thousands on audio gear, this year I’ve done the complete opposite and checked out the budget market LOL, If you think these are good, review the tin p1 Play non-magnetic in ear monitors, you will seriously shit yourself LOL. Tin audio are seriously kicking it out of the park this year with there KSE 75, Porter prose, KP 830 I, and their line of in ear monitors. For about 200 quid, you can get there entire lineup LOL for those of you who are only just starting in the arena, this is the best way to start, I wish these sorts of levels of equipment was available for these prices when I started.
Hmm...Food for thought. I was actually thinking about getting a new set of headphones, along the lines of Grado Prestige Series SR60 e's for $79 but you're suggesting the HiFi T3's for $69? Well, upon receiving your sound audio advisement I may be inclined to reconsider my next purchase. Thanks, Steve
Do you need the isolation? Do you need a portable pair? I don't have the T3 but I tried some other "chi-fi" earphones. I have the Grado SR80e and those are comparable to headphones I auditioned up to $500. If you don't need the isolation and portability, I am almost sure that the Grado will sound better and more natural in most respects. :)
Rob Francis Can’t go wrong with Grado’s soundwise, stay at home cans. Though I have PS500’s and have had built quality issues from the start. Great sound. Like I said, they don’t travel. Super arrogant customer service.
Hi Steve, just stumbled upon your channel after watching countles IEM stuff on youtube (as I've discovered them today). Love your vibe and insight about these things. I have a question though: As 11 11 comes knocking down upon us, I have come to the resolution to get an IEM, as my soundmagic e10's are about to wear out. I have did some research and rounded my selection to the new T4 vs the T2 (T3 has a lot of negative SUBJECTIVE reviews) and the FTZ T2 vs FTZ KING (2019 version). vs the blon 03. Which one would you recommend out of these or another one in the price point. My main purpose is to use them for daily entertainment purposes as I like to listen to a wide variety of music mostly hip hop and pop however I really enjoy acoustic songs as well. Thanks in advance!
The BLON is the best choice... But it isn't a complete product. You NEED to buy better tips and possibly a new cable to even consider them. T4 is supposed to be very similar to BLON but with a little bit less bass and a better fit. Honestly, I'd consider the Venture Electronics BIE also. Especially for hip hop bass, it's a stellar iem.
@@Chris6741 Thank you so much on your insight man! I would def need to opt for a better 8/16 core cable with probably foam tips if I opt for the Blon 03. I will check your recommendation as well mate! Thank you for your reply.

@@fadedlogic1 Thanks. I'm particularly not a fan of a bright high end response. If there's a little uptilt, fine, but the high end must be really clean and not sibilant.
John Stone I don’t find the T3’s sibilant at all. I use comply foam tips and have a really nice almost neutral presentation that definitely shines with great listening source material. Given the really reasonable cost, they are worth the gamble. The cable that comes with it alone is pretty spectacular.
Just received my T3s and I’m really disappointed. They don’t have any bass ! Original iPhone earbuds have more bass than this ! I tried fitting them with the larger pads, but there wasn’t much improvement. Am I the only one with this kind of experience ? Just sounds like cheap earbuds to me, with a nice packaging.
I bought the t2 pro because of your review and do think they are beautiful but I hate them they are so uncomfortable and the sound is way too Harsh I even let them break in all night which did help a little but they are so harsh I get sick if I listen to them too long.
My problem as a cyclist is that when I use cordless/actually one cord, the signal goes in and out. Many times at intersections. Is it the until or other problem. Thanks in advance to all.
No such earbud with a round tip comes anywhere close to fitting into my ear canal to seal off sound or even stay in. I suppose like snowflakes no two ears are the same and mine must be really oddball but I wonder how many others have the same problem. The only earbuds that work for me physically are Eytomotic with the long long tip, long bodies, and wire in line not at a 90 degree angle. I think they are fine products but the two pair I have had were not rugged enough for my requirements.
To be frank, I always wondered why the heck good earphones/headphones cosy *so much* (when it's basically the same materials, and/or their production cost certainly isn't hundreds of dollars (and why we don't just create one successful design and just use that, instead of reinventing the wheel again and again))
They cost so much because some people will buy them anyway. It lets companies charge individual people the maximum amount they can each afford for what are very similar products to their cheaper models. Pricing is rarely based off cost to make + a target % profit margin. You see this everywhere from phone storage options to any tickets (plane/train/movie) with different pricing options.
@@johnm91326 I know how the "intelligent" market works. My point is exactly that, that price doesn't depend much on the cost of production (and that it's really stupid of humanity to produce billions of low quality products, when with the same exact physical materials, we could make just top quality products and that's it).
@@MaximC I agree it's wasteful and annoying but it also wouldn't be great if cheap options disappeared because there's no high margin products to cover costs.
@@johnm91326 The price tag is an obsolete concept on itself. I'm talking about resource costs (the only things that actually have value, money has no value whatsoever, it is just paper).
@@MaximC Would do you propose we should pay for these then? Barter a few chickens? That point is irrelevant to the pricing anyway, just substitute dollars for whatever else you can come up with. On a side note if money has no value feel free to send me all of yours.

Thanks Steve, you are a true yoda of Audio
I may have to check these out. I have a Dragonfly Red that I use with Sennheiser ie800's and they work wonderfully together. I'd like to have a cheap pair of earphones to take with me to the dog park. It took a lot of convincing for me to think that in-ears could be as good as or better than the best headphones, but my 800's are marvelous.
I'm ordering the Urbanfun Trandsound One headphone. BGGAR says he can slam his music for deep bass and the midrange remains composed.
You are very wise and I like your reviews!
I got some from Amazon.,,2 days Very very happy great sound. I'm getting Audioquest dac black dragonfly .tommorow at bestbuy Metallica master of puppets on Spotify never sounded so good. !!! Thanks Steve Tom ATL
Buying these Thursday, exited
The T4s are coming out next week. From the curves they look (LoL) like the best sounding Tins yet, almost the same as the BLON BL03.
Thank you very much for your reviews. I was missing your writings and searching in youtube I got with your name. Kind regards.
Thanks! Lots to see here!
Lmao, you nailed the thumbnail.
I would love to hear your opinion on the BQEYZ Spring-1.
The only thing I don’t like about the T3 is the gold color of the awesome stock cable. I always felt like a pimp wearing them, so I got a HiFiHear replacement off Amazon, & it’s almost as nice ($30, I think). That and some Dekoni tips and I use these or Tin P1’s almost every day (P1’s are even better, but like $170
Is there a an over ear headphone that you would suggest that is better for $69?
9500
Shp9500 if you can get them
how would you compare these to aurvana trio? I bought them through your review and I still love them. personally better than se535
i just use supralux HD688s with a high quality linkerpard 3.5mm male to female. thinking of getting a nice HIFI silver braided copper one from china for when i start mixing this song once the dubs are done
why is the headphone amp better? what does it improve and why?
Doesnt dragon red drains the phone battery super fast.. Just curious how it effects battery
Steve have you listened to any polo & pan?
Well done. Very helpful, Thank you!
T3 + XDuoo X05 + FLAC = Audio Bliss.
Do you plant to review the P1?
After years of spending thousands on audio gear, this year I’ve done the complete opposite and checked out the budget market LOL,
If you think these are good, review the tin p1 Play non-magnetic in ear monitors, you will seriously shit yourself LOL.
@@melvinrimorin7840 Thanks Melvin I really do appreciate your obviously well informed advisement. : )
@@millmoormichael6630 Thanks Millmor I'll consider what you've said here before making my next purchase. Much appreciated. Kudos!

next time try a LG v40. those have a quad dac in the phone. Android and quad dac is way better.
Thank you for your reply.
t3 comes with foam tip and silicon tips, is there a reason why you tried it with silicon tip over foam tip ? thanks
People generally find the silicon tips more comfortable, although that's preference. And they typically increase the bass at the cost of treble
@@millsjonah so no difference on isolation between silicon and foam tips ? audiophiles focuses on tiny amounts of noise coming from the amplification but ignore the much bigger noise coming from the air conditioning in the room or the cars in the street below when comparing speakers to headphones and to iem
@@amanieux the isolation is better, but it's all preference. The silicone tips already provide good enough isolation if they're the right size generally. It's just what you value more
@@millsjonah thanks i will compare both buying $1 foam tips, and what about diy custom silicon molded tips for $10 ? ua-cam.com/video/lmk-y_9exJ8/v-deo.html
I'm using Klipsch r6 ii, where do they stand compared to T3 ? Thank you in advance
Can you review a Devialet bluetooth speaker?
How do these compare to the 1More Earbuds?
I bought some JLab on ear headphones at Walmart for 29 bones. Magnificent and battery last 30 hours. Bass so deep make yo grandma freak
Fuck Walmart.
My go to IEM right now is the 1 More triple driver set that I paid about $55 for on sale. The 1 More's are better sounding than the high end $500 pair of Shures they replaced. How do these Tin 3's (really dumb name) sound compared to the 1 More?
John Stone I have owned both and I think the Tin 3’s are way better!
Damit Steve! Now i gotta return my t2 pro
Can I use these directly in a Macbook or iPhone without an external amp? Or will it sound bad?
They’ll sound great. If you use a Dragonfly (red or black) they’ll sound even better.
I bought the t2 pro because of your review and do think they are beautiful but I hate them they are so uncomfortable and the sound is way too Harsh I even let them break in all night which did help a little but they are so harsh I get sick if I listen to them too long.
this is the reason t2 is recommended over the t2 pro's. t2's are already bright and shimmery, t2 pro's take that highs to even higher levels.

What’s your take on future sonic?
T2 is around $30 now on AliExpress. Score.
direct correlation with ear buds and cochlear damage
How would you say the T3 performs compared to the one more triple drivers?
Ive read a lot of complaints saying the 1more earphones died really fast
@@AIpuchino thanks for the info, didn't know that. I have heard really nice reviews about it's sound quality though.

My problem as a cyclist is that when I use cordless/actually one cord, the signal goes in and out. Many times at intersections. Is it the until or other problem. Thanks in advance to all.
if riding, i would highly recommend against iem's. the ksc75's would work well for this. open to outside sounds, earclip, and really cheap.
@@carlos2004 Thanks
I love that shirt.
You should try the tin t2
No such earbud with a round tip comes anywhere close to fitting into my ear canal to seal off sound or even stay in. I suppose like snowflakes no two ears are the same and mine must be really oddball but I wonder how many others have the same problem. The only earbuds that work for me physically are Eytomotic with the long long tip, long bodies, and wire in line not at a 90 degree angle. I think they are fine products but the two pair I have had were not rugged enough for my requirements.
Rapier P you should probably look into CIEMs
Hey man, can you try BLON 03?
Can't find Kody high anywhere. Help?
The band is Cody High and the album is Kissing Street. It's on Tidal, not sure about anywhere else.
You can find several of their albums on UA-cam - ua-cam.com/channels/3mBLQgz0Fh0XHW2bJ-1Lww.htmlfeatured
@@johnm91326
I know how the "intelligent" market works.
@@johnm91326
The price tag is an obsolete concept on itself.

The luxury brands are afraid of these, no wonder they stigmatize
These products as Chi - Fi.
Where to get these in U.S.A.?
basically anywhere at this point. Drop, amazon, ebay, aliexpress, or any of the other chinese e-shops.
How can you get such deep bass from a small headphone driver? Do the laws of physics change vs. a "regular" speaker driver?
A speaker moves the air in the room (lots). IEMs only need to move the air in you ear cannal. (Not much). Physics intact. No magic.

I literally got this 2 days ago
So what's your conclusion a month after?
@@DanSlotea Still going strong. When I first listened to them, I thought it could use more lower and upper mids to it. The treble, to my ears, were sparkly, but also got a slight hint of sibilance as a result. Fast forward, I kept on switching back and forth over using it on my desktop and then using it on my mobile phone. The bass became thump-ier and the mids got a bit smoother. I use foam eartips to help bring down the highs a bit. I think it's a solid choice but I don't have much to compare it to.
