ePSXe stuttering? Don't blame video but audio plugins!

In the last months after a clean Windows 10 reinstall, I've got a the problem of ePSXe stuttering compared with a previous video, and tried to tinker with the most popular video plugins without getting rid of the slowdown, until I decided to change sound plugins and found the one that created no stuttering: Eternal SPU plugin.
This video has the story of how I found that and the tests done to some of the best known sound plugins.

Why don't you use the unofficial PC port (REDRIVER 2)?

I had since some years ago (4, I think) the replay I used in this video, and there's a feature that only emulators can have: saving and reloading states, which I depend on for making good quality replays without wastinf too much time on them.

Of course not, I just tried some sound plugins and their configurations until figuring out that they were the real culprit for video stuttering.

People still use Epsxe?
DuckStation and BeetlePSX are way better at this point, in both terms of accuracy or fidelity, depending on which settings you choose.

Maybe one of these days I should try Beetle PSX, I had recently used Duckstation but its downside is that having a decent image quality for recording videos requires to set the internal resolution to at least 4x and that setting strains my laptop's lower-range GPU (Radeon R5 M230) to the point that it gets hot at a point as I almost never had reached, even with Redriver2.
