@@slowtalker Too true, time marches on. Oh, what was that saying about letting go of the past? Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. I'm just glad some of us do remember. As we make room for the future generations, let's all remember the good times we had so they can have theirs too.
Brave Fencer Musashi is one of my favorite games ever. A total underrated RPG/JRPG, so full of charm and didn't take itself too serious. Amazing soundtrack. Gekido is one of my favorite beat'em ups ever. Tail Concerto rocks my socks. Such a cute game. Einhander is one of my favorite 2-3D side scrollers ever. I still play it from time-to-time and it has a rocking soundtrack.
Just found your channel. Wow you are great Mr Gary. The nostalgia hit hard with this. Thanks to you I've found many games from my childhood I forgotten or didn't know the name of. Awesome channel!!
Legaia 2 is more of same universe-ish. Good, but different feel. Bigger cast, but also not as much flexibility. Each character was locked to a single element, and the storyline wasn’t as good. At least that’s my opinion. One thing I didn’t like was the addition of racism and the backstabbing main villain. Avalon had one of the best themes ever, but he just didn’t feel like a real character. Edit: Crafting system was god-tier. Best one so far , including Elden Ring. Only thing it lacked was attack items, but you can craft weapons, armor, accessories, and items, including stat boosts. Getting Avernus gems could only be done in the final dungeon, as it was a steal item. You could customize your characters, including bonus stat. The full crafting guide for accessories needs to be seen to be believed. 2nd Edit: Ps2 game.
Happy to see Evil Zone, Kingsley's Adventure Sheep Raider, Rakugaki Showtime, and *_especially_* Tail Concerto here. Tail Concerto is currently my most wanted game and I am hoping Atlus and CyberConnect2 remake it at some point.
2:36 This is the placeholder music for Dragon Valley in Freedom Planet (you can hear it in early betas when the game was a Sonic fan game and Lilac was a hedgehog)
I still play Evil Zone (I have all three regions) my survival mode score is highest 32, lowest 26. I typically play the Japanese version for its intro music, and also to hear the original dialog of the game. Really wish it got its sequel like it was planned, I always thought Ihadurca would reincarnate into another host but have to fight for good this time, like how she kept trying to absorb Karin, what if that causes her to reincarnate as a good entity? Random ideas but I still wish they happened. Have a good day all!
@@divinefallfromgrace someday I hope they figure a way to have systems linked online similar to the ps1digital tcp/ip serial port function. Just imagine two player versus on Evil Zone (Eretzvaju) over the Internet. Have a good day!

Warzone 2100 actually has a freeware release for the PC. when the company shuttered, the liscense holder published the source code and a dedicated group of fans have been updating and balancing the game ever since. plays well on modern systems and only takes up a GB of space.
I’ve still got Dragon Valor, love that it’s getting some love here, brilliant game. Thanks for reminding me some of these exist also, I’ve got an expensive eBay run to do now :D
Legend of Legaia is one of my favorite games, even now. Ehergeiz: Enter the ring was good, and had a rpg storyline with the fighting game. Silent Bomber was decent, but Nintendo Hard is an understatement. Tai Fu : Enter the tiger was good, but platforming was up to That One Level in Crash bandicoot.
@@YuzuOtonashi It comes from a time when studios used to have smaller teams making games like this and more free reign to include things like swearing etc. I think it just wouldn't be a safe bet to make it now. Maybe an indie dev might make something similar. It's hard to even find any info on the making of team buddies.
I wanna try check some of those out I've already tried a few of these, and I must say, Threads of Fate is one of the best games I could ever find, it's an extremely fun adventure with LOADS of gags
Wow seeing battle hunter on this list makes me happy! A friend and I put our money together in high school and walked down to toys r us to pick out a game to buy. We ended up with Battle Hunter and loved it
One additional fun game for anyone interested would be Trap Gunner. In single player its OK, but if played with someone that is fun as hell. Its like a bit more complex version of bomberman that focuses on 1v1 matches.
When I first bought the ps1 when it came out, I was always slightly jealous that I didnt have an n64. The pricing of the n64 games always put it out of my league. Some games were £80 if I remember correctly. Looking back now, I think I made a wise decision. The catalogue of ps1 games blows the n64 away. I consider the n64 overrated to be honest. Great video as always Gary.
Pretending to be sick to not attend school and just playing playstation and eating junk foods the whole day. Those were the good old freaking days. Lol!
I’ve been trying to figure out for years what RPG I played and loved as a kid and you mentioned it, Beyond the Beyond! I can’t wait to play it as an adult 😄 Thank you so much for this video🫶🏻
03:37 - Did this game really have Eric B. & Rakim's "Let The Rhythm Hit 'Em" ( ua-cam.com/video/ALPH86ybA6U/v-deo.html ) in the game or did you put the music in the video yourself?
Chaos Break and Crisis Beat were two of my very very favourite games in PS1! EDIT: OMG Shaolin as weird as it was, was one of my beloved gems too! And Kensei! And Gekido! So many good memories...
Gekido was really fun. But I do remember that game as a not fighting game, but like Street of rage. Still can hear the “Gorrrila” hahaha! I also expected to see Steel Reign. Was one of my favorite
