Hey, Juca! Thanks for making all these awesome videos about the Katana. It's really good to see someone professional, who knows what they're doing, making these types of videos. Your channel has become my favorite since I got my own Katana 100/212 about a month ago. :)
Thank you. The q knob is great because you can adjust how wide the curve is for boosting or cutting those frequencies like 8khz and 800meghertz, etc..
great work!
These tutorial videos are awesome, definitely would watch more if you made them, subscribed.
I was going to mess with global eq until I watched your video. But diversity of tone and genre is important to me and I didn't realize that global meant it links all my channels to it. Thanks!
I use the global EQ With my Katana Head MkII to make my cabinet (custom built 2 * 12) sound best. Go for a balanced sound.
Super helpful video, Juca. Thanks mate! Loving the presets I purchased off your site too :-)
A really helpful tutorial, thanks Juca
Very helpful . answers a lot of questions I had .
I never knew what 'Q' was. Now I do. Thanks!
I use the parametric in the global EQ
Thanks Juca, I'm trying to look at the Boss software parameters before I make a jump to buy the amp, and this has been helpful. Lucky I'm a Live Sound guy as well, I'm sure this is confusing to a lot of people, but they're just going to have to jump in and learn this stuff by doing it. I think graphic EQ'S scare a lot of traditional guitarists, especially the more frequencies they can access. I think it's the ultimate sculpting tool, but it takes a little bit of time to learn , and you ears need to acclimatize to the difference in sound.
man your video saved my katana !!! I just couldnt get why it sounded so awful and you opened my eyes to the eq magic ! thanks again mate !
You can store 9 global eq settings on the artist for your different tones.
Yes , thank you brother !!! Really appreciate your
I've noticed that the global eq on my gt1000 core sounds different then the in-patch eq blocks even when it's set to the same exact settings no matter where I place it in the chain. Does anyone know why this is? I've only had it for a week or so, so I'm sure that I'm missing something given how complex it is.
So if your using the katana say preset crunch sound the parametric eq is a good way of changing dramatically the sound of that preset without having to use any effects pedals.
Juca would you recommend using an external noise gate or would say the one in the software is good?
How on you get the Channel EQ to display, or is it another program not in Boss Tone Studio.
Hi
