Yes you are 100% correct! Last fall I took my John Boat on the lake so much but I ended up finding myself in a back pocket that was as large as a football field but only about 3 ft deep at the max. I could see everything and we could see the schools of shad and then the bass and the perch hitting them and you're 100% correct. That is the exact thing you look for on the surface. That's amazing!
