Question: If we select one-shot on the LFO, and then invert the waveform for triangle and/or square waves, will this not create a different sound than non-inverted? BTW, your videos are invaluable to me. They sold me on the Monologue. Thanks, dude! :)
Sounds similar with the pre-set sequence 61 Pumpdriver, I have used it couple of times as an base for similar tricks with the LFO. Do you happen to have any idea how the motion sequence track for the Drive on that sequence has been made? It has this extremely sharp and regular serration on it. I find it impossible to be dublicated just by turning the Drive knob, or any other knob/switch for that matter. The slider on that sequnce has been assigned for LFO Rate function, so it's not it either.
Your videos are very good, I just received my Monologue today, going DAWless so I'm coupling the Monologue with my MPC Live...again love the vids and may I ask what vocal mic are you using?
+bigdap100 thank you for watching and for the feedback - it's very much appreciated! The vocal mic is just a venerable SM57 which I'm compressing super hard as boosting the low end to get somewhere near that "radio voice" sound. Enjoy your dawless journey, it's going to be fun!
Great and very needed tutorial on a not so much "hidden" as "overlooked" feature of the Monologue. The inverted INT on a sawtooth LFO on the cutoff freq of the filter (i.e. ramp up instead of ramp down) reminds me very much of the intro of 'Halo of flies' by Alice Cooper (at 34 sec., ua-cam.com/video/TlNakynlVCk/v-deo.html).

+Pat Kelly a subtractive synth, in simplest terms is "start bright, use filters to make dark", so we're still subtractive on the Monologue. But don't worry too much about defining synths strictly, you'll find plenty of synths that have elements of both (for example, the shape control on the Monologue is kinda an additive trick).
Thanks. I am very new to the world of hardware synthesis although have been using soft synths for few years. What i've found interesting is the difference in sound when performing the same actions on a similar type synth in hard vs soft scenarios. You're videos are invaluable as a near newbie.

Yeah, I hate the "manual" because it's just two large pages folded into fours. I would rather read a PDF than unfold that crap. And also, it's easy to discard because it doesn't feel like a manual as packaged, it just feels like another piece of paper you're not going to read. (Saying this because I just started watching Oscillator Sink's Monologue videos and now he's got me digging out my manual that I never bothered to read.)
Remember that there is a PDF version of the manual - I have a folder on my Google Drive that it full of manuals, midi implementation tables, etc. for the synths I own (and some I don't). That way I can always quickly get at them whether I'm at my desk or just have my phone nearby. Kinda nerdy but I use it a lot - especially as people ask me questions on the synths in the comments section!
I really love the reverse type sound. Thanks. The monologue has to be the best priced synth , with all of its features.

The Monologue is a surprisingly deep synth - a lot to explore despite its diminutive form! Glad to have shown you something new.
