How to cook an enjoyable beans stew and plantain recipe
3 cups of Black eyed peas
    3 plum tomatoes 🍅
    2 large onions (red onions)
    Half cup of crafish
    1 seasoning cube
Oxtail ( as much as you want , but I used 10 pieces)
    Salt to taste
    Palm oil ( 1 and 1/2 cup)
    1 green bell pepper
    2 cloves of garlic
    Thumb sized ginger
1 scotch bonnet pepper ( or as much as you can tolerate, )
    Directions ( for the meat)
Boil the meat with half onion , 2 seasoning cube, 1 garlic and the ginger
    For the stew,
Blend the green bell pepper, the tomatoes, half onion, 1 garlic and the scotch bonnet pepper
...fry half onion in the palm oil before frying the blended up ingredients
    For the beans
After rinsing out the parboiled beans, add fresh water and half onion to the beans
Extra Tip... Onion and beans are 5&6 ( they go so well) so when you make beans, be generous with onions.
** if you suffer heart burn after eating beans, you may want to reduce the amount of pepper you add to beans. I’ve heard a few friends say it helps so try that.

I use this same method for my brown honey beans and it comes out really delicious. I dont soak the beans before cooking tho and and I use turkey instead. Delishhhhh.

I love this recipe. I have seen people adding plantain inside the beans, do you have such recipe?

Thank you so much aunty shola. Yes that too is very delicious. You can do that with this recipe as well. Instead of frying the plantain, add the cubed plantain just about the time I added the meat stock and cook. 😋
