These movies have never honestly appealed to me. Awesome you enjoyed it.
Yeah, this one would be a bit much to sit through if you’re not a fan of the franchise.
Expected more of the film (and this review).
I had a good time, but agree it could've been better. I was excited once I heard it was pitched as an Apocalypto with Apes, but maybe only a scene or two reflected that (the humans on the run). Guess I'm in the minority on this one!

Did not like this at all. Very long film which just left my kids asking me questions I could not answer. Weak story.
Right, the movies the writer has worked on are also mostly known for their weak stories, like the Avatar movies. Actually, the finale in the flooded area looked familiar to Way of Water, even. Ha. Definitely the weakest part of the movie was the story, agreed. I’m looking forward to where these movies go though.
Agree. There was no development. And the story was just a collage of movie tropes and clichés.
