The Great Sage's broken shell on great sage difficulty is way harder than Erlang but I finally killed him using Yin-Yang Daoist Robe build, in fact it's not the best build in terms of dealing damage but definitely the best in terms of damage reduction and survival Here's the build Qing Mallet Wind Tamer Turtle Treasure See no evil, Yin-Yang Daoist Robe, Bull King's Bracers and greaves Curios: gold sun crow, jade moon rabbit, gold button, tiger tendon belt, boshan censer Qing-Tian gourd Drinks dry spirit Soaks bee mountain stone, iron pellet Spells: rock solid, life-saving strand transformation azure dome and for mysticism spell binder but I didn't use it, you can choose what ever you want
Ng+4 and only had 2 tries with Erlang. All you need is plantain fan to deplete his shield, immobilize and the staff spin attack to build up the fan cooldown, then pluck of many. If he gets his shield again, hopefully your fan is already back up, and just rinse and repeat. For extra freeze get the Apramana Bat spirit. The Great Sage fight technique is to always let him attack first.
Stone Monkey phases 1 and 2 took me around 20 tries whereas both phases of the Great Sage I beat on the first try (I am not bragging, I had a good build and insane luck). Erlang took me around 40 tries and was the second hardest boss I fought behind Yellow Loong
I agree that Great Sage is the harder of the two, despite seeing that most players felt the opposite. Erlang took me 5 tries, I’m not certain how many tries Great Sage took me. Great video - was refreshing to see a “normal” but skilled player as opposed to the no-hit, all 9 curses activated, great sage difficulty gauntlet challenges I’ve been seeing of late. 😂
@@traydizzley3359ya in the first play thru erlang is harder, but by ng+4 wukong is a straight up beast that's even harder than the relic holder fight lol
Yea me too for some reason, take around 3 hours to beat The Great Sage. But i literally need to take a break from the game for erlang......for a month too 😂
@@Laszel_Grace I’m in tears 😭 that’s about the same for me I finally beat him today by literally using every medicine I had saved. Soul migration,Amplification, Mirage, life saving, enhanced tiger and damage reduction pill. Upgraded lamb brew drink also helped a lot. Timing for striking him between attacks was tricky but I was braver when using transformations and used rock solid to break his attacks.
I m on NG+6 and I can tell GS is much harder especially on phase 2 . Be careful when his HP left 5%. He wil be extremely aggressive 😅
even ng+4 he's outta control. I straight up started a fresh run to avoid that mess 😂

I think to counter great sage just need to focus on using thrust stance 😂

Nice match but slow finger😅

👌👍
Dude I smoked erlang first try on ng4. I’ve actually quit and started completely again. Stuck on sage for hours. I’m so confused
Wukong is easy. Most of his attacks are delayed af and you can easily perform see throughs.
Bro i was saying that until i played him after obtaining the wukong stance, he str8 violated me 😭

Why was great sage easier for me?! 😂😂😂 my timing with his attacks sucks
I was so happy to fly though the Stone Monkey just to get disrespected by Great Sage. I'll get my redemption in NG+.

Great sage is easy compared to erlang
