Lmao, I didn't know you could bait Shigandang into fighting Stone Vanguard. Makes sense with the lore, because Stone Vanguard is the guardian of Shigandang's prison. Apparently the Rat Prince can be obtained as a spirit, but only if you kill his father first and then kill him in his enrage form...
I firmly believe that the Wandering Wight is the best spirit in the game. He is basically an automatic stagger/interrupt at any time and boosting him up causes him to do massive damage.
For gourd and wine upgrades, my advice is to just go ahead and upgrade the base gourd and coconut wine all the way. They are cheap, effective and all around useful and eventually get celestial rank and multiple soak slots. Some of the other gourds and drink are more situational, but the base ones you start with become really powerful and useful in nearly every situation.
Hmm not really. I would say 1 or 2 upgrades on the default gourd. Until you get a better one and better drinks. No point to upgrade it to the fullest. While Coconut wine is good. It’s not even half as good as lambbrew. (For those early game drinks). Lambbrew heals you up 20% instantly and another 25% after a few seconds. Coconut wine does only 33%. Upflgrade the lambbrew. And you’ll see it’s worth it.
One more thing I'd very much recommend is to NOT fight the end chapter boss in chapter 4 (100 Eyed Daoist Master). When you stumble upon him, make sure to die if you haven't completed the Purple Pillar sidequest. If you beat the boss, it either glitches out or is intended not to be completable. Just make sure you find all 4 Purple Ticket statues, the last one is just right to the boss, where the quest ends. It's a real bummer. I have to complete it in NG+ now because I did the mistake of not completing it before the boss. If you take the stairs just behind the shrine you'll find the last pillar. Hope it helps someone as it's a hassle to remember to do it many many hours later in a NG+ or a new journey.

My current favorite spirit has to be the earth wolf, just because it gives a significant bonus to focus buildup, and the active effect also does good damage.
Tip: In chapter 2 when you go fight the stone boss, if you collected all 6 Buddha eyes you can go to that rock mound to the left and awaken an even bigger rock monster. He will kill the smaller one then you fight him. His life will be about 1/4 down at that point. I STRONGLY urge you to enter this fight prepared and capitalize on the damage the bigger rock monster already takes.
@@raulduke3237 I can’t seem to find the area with the Buddha heads. Do I need to beat the first rock guy before breaking right and finding the Buddha eyes? My travel points are Yellow Wind Formation: Bridge and Hamlet
@SuperChintendo No, you just enter the room and run right carefully. Make it through the gate, take a right, and a shrine will be there. Follow video instructions from there and you'll have it.

hearing the mind core farming was perfect timing :> I was just thinking of farming the area for some levels in order to fight the guy in the sandstorm :> I can kill two birds with one stone
I assumed that when you level up those transformation stats that it only applies to your transformed character. Like if you upgrade Steadfast, doesn't it only boost the defense of whatever you transform into? It doesnt boost your base character's defense right?
It’s after the turtle. Once you get on the beach. Head left in the water and fight that dragon guy. Then you will have to bring him somethin and he gives you the scroll. You can use it anywhere and go to the village. All your NPCs will be there. The brew guy, the medicine guy, the armorer(which will also give you another slot for a curio if you challenge and defeat him), and the guy that gave you the scroll which is the gardener if you have seeds. 😊
Id love to know all the optional secrets. Like the side mission with the drunken pig in chapter 2 which leads to a big boss fight with the yellow wind sage. Or in Chapter 3 where you find the body wearing the pelt of the white fox from the cutscene. Then transform when you find the Non-void (i think?) Boss.
Ohhh nooo. That fire bear keeps killing me, and ALMOST always, he is almost beaten, and then I die because of fire.. I got so excited when you said that about the Fire mantle... But then I googled it, and its from that damn Big head guy. I literally JUST suffered through that horrible blue guy, and when I saw the secret boss was just him, gold, and worse, I was immediately discouraged..
The second one is actually easier. You can kill the zombies in his arena to regain your health. And they will keep respawning. Just keep in mind that if you kill the second one, the first one will disappear, meaning you can't get his summon if you didn't already.

So with the two rock vanguard dudes that you can make fight eachother… other than that, I found you can also fight stone vanguard right next to the big black rock(inactivated) and every time he attacks it will hit the rock and stun him… so you can just kinda walk around the rock and cheese him while he’s stunlocking himself on that rock. Only thing you gotta look out for his when sometimes he misses the rock and lights up his arms for the ground spikes but if you’re positioned well by the rock, he’ll hit it almost every time.

So far this is the only mistake I have made, that I am aware ov, at least 😅 For those in the pagoda area for the first time, do t defeat the boss at the top until youve taken out the 9 lantern headed enemies (fi al one is a boss), beating tbe boss up top stops the lantern dudes from spawning. They give 1600 exp per kill or something crazy. Super worth it.
I recently found out about chapter two cellar with all the upgrades. I made it to the final broken sage with minimal upgrades. Once I upgraded I went to the yin tiger and beat him first try.
some of the trinkets and equipments are chance drop. Some of them are really good for extra loot chance and stuff. So whenever u found an enermy acting like a mini boss but its not really a mini boss, u gotta kill it over and over again until u get that chance drop.
NEver had an issue with Stone Vanguard. Only took me two tries, and the first time I died to the glowing arms attack that makes like an earthquake around him.
There’s another boss very close to him that you can beat first (wolf with a fire staff), allowing you to transform into him and use the fire staff. That should help a lot against the big headed boss
If anyone is still struggling farming mind cores, try the living snake enemies on the snake trail in chapter 1. Idk if it’s bugged but that spot was reliably giving me mine cores and let me max out my stamina super early on

My current favorite spirit has to be the earth wolf, just because it gives a significant bonus to focus buildup, and the active effect also does good damage.
@@Aderon Mine too, I've trashed every boss with it until I got to the hundred eyed centipede dickhead lol
@@SuperChintendo The buddha heads are strewn about the level
Site of Grace :D love it.
I had to fight both Stone dudes :D :D and you telling me I could watch them to fight? God Damn How was I supposed to know, I went the other direction in the game.
i just beat the game yesterday and i haven't realised you could actually upgrade your gear, cause i haven't found the npc
Is the spirit debuff only while casting or permanent?
hearing the mind core farming was perfect timing :> I was just thinking of farming the area for some levels in order to fight the guy in the sandstorm :> I can kill two birds with one stone
I assumed that when you level up those transformation stats that it only applies to your transformed character. Like if you upgrade Steadfast, doesn't it only boost the defense of whatever you transform into? It doesnt boost your base character's defense right?
I need that Turtle Tear in my Life!. I am stuck on The Chapter 2 Boss. I keep getting so darn close. I ❤ this game!
Can't wait to try this game out!
It goes pretty hard
Whats new if you play it again? Thought there is no new game+?
I feel weird when I beat the hardest bosses without trying but then get stuck on some mid boss that doesn’t even have a guide 😭
Dude, i didnt know there is blacksmith which upgrade armor. Thank you
It’s after the turtle.
In gaming there is no such thing as "HUGE MISTAKES" that "RUIN YOUR GAME" Please I implore you to play the game how you want to in the way you want to and enjoy it.
@@MarrowX It saddens me that people may have gotten maybe 6 hours in, seen this video, and gotten sad and or frustrated. All because a dude on the internet told them they had made a HUGE MISTAKE in their playthrough, therefore "RUINING" their game. It's a shame, really is. These UA-camrs need to just hush and focus on other elements of the game.
Wouldn't it be the fault of the player and not the UA-camr? If someone blindly follows people like that, it's their fault. These types of videos get a lot of views, I'm sure, and it's their lifeline
@@slightlylifted You missed what I said, but that's ok. Hope you enjoy the game!
Some people wanna be a hater so fucking bad... Shut Up!!! This man saved me from getting that damn dragons disease in Dragons Dogma... so you and your hate should just "play the game" and let those whose choose to click on the video digest the information we came looking for...
And you decided yo "actually" have these feelings because... let me get this straight... "Some people" " MAY" have some other feeling... you need to re-evaluate your use of time and emotional bandwidth...
Damn! I didn’t realize the two stone bosses would fight one another 🤦♂️ I fought them one at a time. At least now I know for my next playthrough.
Are you going to make a video on all the spirits and where to find them?
I'm in chapter 3 and already have 15 and I missed at least 1. This game is crazy 😄
Thank you so much! I’ve been stuck for 2 days
very helpful, thank you
How come you get extra speed and staff goes red without 1’st chapter armour set? What am i missing?
Anyone else feels a bit bad when they use guides. But dam how can you not with this game especially with no map
Why would i feel bad? That’s dumb. It’s just you.
@@Xizziano because it’s a sense of completion, something you wouldn’t know, because you are dumb.
Thank you very much here's a sub and like 🎉
I fought that bat thing on the shore line and theres no spirit for me....even checked the shrine....did i miss something? Or are there bugs in this game?
I have question for you, what is the best transformation in the game?
The best one is the best one that you like best.
Thank you this is First time I’ve ever played a game this hard and I’m doing OK thank you for the pointers
I finished chapter 5 by mistake , I killed the final boss without exploring the place well ...now I have option for next chapter and previous chapter ...what will happen if I skip chapter 6 and stay on 5 ? Will i get to go back to 6?
Thank you, kind sir 🙏
Wait the defense talent for the rockguy transformation gives you that defense all the time? I assumed those were only while transformed?
Hey how are you getting your weapon to glow red like that will sprinting??
hold the strong attack button to charge it. You also need to unlock a skill that lets you charge your weapon as you sprint
@@I.K485 thanks brotha
That part understand but he's walking around with the weapon looking like it's on fire on both ends that is wat i don't understand how to do
@@Fearless0710 it's a fully upgraded staff. A few of them are lit up at all times
4:33 I go there and I didn't encounter the boss. Any tips?
Nvm. I found out why lol
@@Kai200Xcan u please say why because I couldn’t find him either.
@slidezo_mega6462 apparently you need to have the pig with you, but it doesn't matter since you'll get his soul after you beat the chapter
I fought those two bosses in Ch 2 separately. I wasnt gonna miss their fights. They were pretty easy anyway 🤣
that boss fight @9 mins is interesting lmao. Yours looks even, in my playthrough, the smaller one was getting his shit rocked :/
Can you make a video about the best spirits to use in the game? That will be awesome
Lol I'm so glad ur doing these videos 😅😂
Ever since u found out there's two endings one bad one good I've been overly cautious and discovered every single are so only tip which is very good i got is to check the shop every time
Thanks again bro
When I fought the frost bat he just flew away I didn’t unlock any spirit?
@@kxvlogs1828 same here, I came back to this video to see if I missed something lol
Currently on my first play through and weirdly enough...I didn't run into the bat, it immediately cut to the scene where the turtle drops the soak for you, I only got the summon post boss fight
Damn so much information and the secret eyes are tricky
The bat in chapter 3 didn’t drop a spirit for me? I mean it looks like he flew away but i still got the journal info so not sure why I didn’t get the spirit?
So far this is the only mistake I have made, that I am aware ov, at least 😅
For those in the pagoda area for the first time, do t defeat the boss at the top until youve taken out the 9 lantern headed enemies (fi al one is a boss), beating tbe boss up top stops the lantern dudes from spawning. They give 1600 exp per kill or something crazy. Super worth it.
I recently found out about chapter two cellar with all the upgrades. I made it to the final broken sage with minimal upgrades. Once I upgraded I went to the yin tiger and beat him first try.
3:11 Tiger Acolyte is increase critical dmg. Assassin Wolf increases critical chance.
How do you deal poison damage in Intro?
some of the trinkets and equipments are chance drop.
Some of them are really good for extra loot chance and stuff.
So whenever u found an enermy acting like a mini boss but its not really a mini boss, u gotta kill it over and over again until u get that chance drop.
I completely missed out on wind tamer! Now its kinda make sense why the last boss in chapter 2 was soo hard. But i already complete it the hard way. 😮
NEver had an issue with Stone Vanguard. Only took me two tries, and the first time I died to the glowing arms attack that makes like an earthquake around him.
The rat prince spirit is the best one i found, im still chapter 3. The guy hits hard
LOL, I can't even beat the big head blue dude in chapter 1.
GIT GUD
ur so ass
There’s another boss very close to him that you can beat first (wolf with a fire staff), allowing you to transform into him and use the fire staff. That should help a lot against the big headed boss
me2 😂
@@kquiriconi i can’t beat that one either 😂
I actually like the gore Eye I switch between that one and ole headbutt master 😂
What about the 2 bosses you shouldn’t fight in chapter 4 that will lock u out of content if you beat them early
@@Reacted1991 which 2 bosses? I don't want to get kicked out!
@@killerbuzzit347 the scorpion guy and the guy with the mask in the secret area
Yea i have pretty much stayed with the headbutt😂😂also u can find secret areas if you have the headbutt equipped, and you hit special walls😉
If anyone is still struggling farming mind cores, try the living snake enemies on the snake trail in chapter 1. Idk if it’s bugged but that spot was reliably giving me mine cores and let me max out my stamina super early on
Is there way to check monster drop?
I can’t wait for September 1st I can play this game
