I like the various reviews but I stay for the builds, and Lord Kurt is wicked knowledgeable with the volts⚡️ He’s seriously humble too.
All around the best dude you'll meet. 🤍
That's fast gps can't keep up.
If you're still a hater, feel free to insult us here in the comments with all your concerns. Our customer support will respond in 2-9 business days, super fast
😂
Cool if you like it I'm just not into it as well as what sounds like some kind of bearing noise in the motor or whatever spinning part is inside of it I'm not sure I haven't stayed up to date on the build so I didn't see any of it it's just what I'm noticing of it but I know you know what noise I'm talking about I just can't pinpoint exactly what it would be though but if you like it that's cool hope you all have fun but get those brakes fixed before y'all happen to get hurt 🖖
I just had to voice my comments and concerns 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@mikewazowski7830why are there so many laughing emojis
Give that man a raise! Your dad, too. the rips through the neighborhood were satisfying, although it looks like you guys need better breaks for this little beast. You're going to need a drag strip to see what it can really do.
That thing is sick! Well done guys. Remember, when in doubt….pump it
Keep the inspiring builds coming! And the technical stuff is 👍. Electric builds aren't that bad, just intimidating at first. Seeing the breakdown of the components helps it make sense. I've been building Electric bikes for a few years, and the petrol heads I ride with don't understand a dang thing when I talk about the build, but everyone loves taking them for a rip. They understand the instant torque!
You might have air in your brake lines if the brakes feel weak. Try a reverse bleed, works right every time.
Never boring video always on point!!
#lordcurtmore$$$
Really love all your builds.... your possitive energy... keep em comming...
Don't know why there be haters that thing rips and that's just the first drive it probably could be fine tuned more and then there is the brakes lol that's important then the overall touches to the exterior to finish it off going to be great good job guys
Very cool! I skipped around the video a bit so I hope this was not addressed already but in the event of a runaway do you have any safety features to prevent power from being able to reach the motors?
If you aren't impressed, chances are you're a hater
You impress us with everything you do brother. I hope that one day I can accomplish everything you have. Your videos push me to dream big I haven't got to the part to where I can act on them but hopefully God will give me the time to be able to. I'm 28 with 4 kids and have been sick this whole year I got some news that I have a mass in my colon but I'm not gonna give up you are a true blessing to UA-cam thank you for all you do for your followers. ❤
Halfway through the video and I'm impressed. Lord Curt lives and breathes this stuff.
@@rickportwood6191 Always rise up 💯 after the storm comes the sunshine. Good things are coming for you brother.
Hate on hater lol
I'm impressed. I'm just trying to think of ways to reduce the amount of wiring because that adds a lot of weight. The only way to really do it would be to build a pack into the floor pan of the go-kart so that way you can have just a main positive and negative coming off of the pack instead of having all the jumpers between the individual 8s packs
That is sweet!! Once the brakes are sorted I am sure you guys will be more comfortable taking it for a top speed run. With the brakes the way they are now I think it is a little too sketch to really crank it up and see what she does. Awesome video!!!
Exactly! Next time she’s running it’ll be totally completed
@@LordCurt Can't wait to see what she can do! Great job on the build Curt!
Awesome build. Looks like a blast to drive. We have interesting times ahead as the energy density of batteries improves and motors get more and more efficient.
DAM!! This is now insane. Great work guys.
Finished product is about to blow you away
Brakes?
Where we're goin', we don't need brakes.
Hahaha
my god .... the torque on that beast ...... 🤣🤣
well, if you got haters....you know you're doing something right! Time to subscribe!
Give it one of those retro nascar/go kart body
Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it.
Yo finally. That’s really dope
I was trying to build one but i didn't have the money to finish it, i was prototyping a frame and got to 4 wheels and steering, but beyond that i never got my seat, brakes, or anything else going. Im just gonna give it more time like years. But this is super cool and im glad someone is doing it. Mine wasn't quite gonna be like a standard go kart but a bit different. This is an inspiration though for sure, mad props bro.
Damn! You guys really out did yourselves with this one, holy hell that thing rips!!!
How do you throttle the two controllers together? For the qs motors?
Give Lord Curt a pay rise
Only if he starts pulling his weight in these builds
@@TheInja 😆
Well that looks extremely.... dangerous? I like it! 😄
Dangerous fast 😬😂 i think upgraded brakes should be the next job 😂😂
Smiles worth sharing 🤟👽🎬
Gonna need traction control, that little beast wants to blow off the tires and hit 51 mph trying to be careful 🤣
This looks really awesome. Just wondering if regenerative breaking is turned on. If this setup as got it.
It was on but minimal... we'll be cranking it up on the final reassembly 😏
Bro that’s gonna haul dude. Nice work congratulations. And let them hate all they want too. Don’t worry about them haters
That thing is sickkk
@TheInja... Yeah going that fast in something like that gets squirrely! Does it get any wobbles? I would think the weight helps a little 🤷♂️
Nice build but I wish the brakes were better.... right on bro 🤙🏼
🫡
sweet ride bro keep it up man.
That thing is GONE ⚡⚡
I was testing those batteries for my karts as well. Did you get them from batt hookup or are they new? The ones from batt hookup were unfortunately way overused and the batteries had very little discharge performance left in them. If all those cells are new, you've got a TON of discharge potential in there. Super cool build.
Love this cart! I'm just recently getting into electric, having years of experience in electric rc components, I'm starting off with a surron, I just got a votol em150 from qs, looking for 12kw for now which is a little over double the stock power, however I'm torn on if I should make my own battery pack or just purchase a prebuilt one. Looking to do 72v and somewhere north of 40ah.
Definitely cheaper to build one! There’s just a learning curve to get over. You’ll struggle to make it fit right in the slot and look good, but it’s definitely cost saving
@@LordCurt yeah I have the time and patience just don't have the tools and know how to make the battery
Damn talk about power those are headway beast packs. Some of the most powerful cells on the market. That's gonna be one fast go-kart. I could actually do the wiring and build this. He def did a quality job. Great bms best batteries. I although am not a welder of fabrication guy so.
Fast & keeps the traction when hard accelerating, impressive 👏
Those motor & controller placement locations were choice. 👍👌
The only concern I have is regarding those 350A Anderson connectors. Any termination subject to vibration/movement eg Motors, Generators, Motor vehicles, "Go Karts" etc should be "crimped" rather than "soldered" (Vibrations "can" fatigue/crack solder resulting in a poor connection & hot joint)
Just my 2 cents as an Electrican.
Great Build, loving those Headway cells on display like that. 🔋⚡️😎
I appreciate that! My crimper wasn’t working right, so I went with plan B. It shouldn’t get enough riding to fatigue for a long time I expect, luckily
@@LordCurt crimps are overated anyways. Lever nuts will take your stranded and solid wiring game to the next level though
Crazy 🔥🔥 . One question, what should I go to school for to learn how to do this? Electrical engineering and mechanical engineering?
You don't necessarily need schooling, Lord Curt figured all this out on his own, no schooling. Just takes learning it and testing it.
That is so impressive. Dang, I wish I had the electrical knowledge to build something like that. We’ll done guys!
whooooo thats great!!
That intro had me rolling 😂
what size batteries are those?
Great video! After you sort out the brake issue consider this: what about increasing the tire/rim size (might require some slight alterations to the frame) to something like a 16 x 6.50-8 Turf Tire. With the power your setup is showing you could maybe get up to 80 mph or better.
It's already geared for over 100mph, easily can hit much over that with new sprockets
Bigger wheels and suspension... light bar ...Bluetoothinternal speaker.. led underglow ..... makeit a beast ...
Look at all that wire 😮, your homey sure knows his electrics ,she's a MONSTER 👹 🇬🇧👍🙏⚡⚡👊🤟🤠
999+ inja power is back 😎😎😎😎
🔥😏😏😏😏😏😏😏🔥
did you program the differential effect or is running both engines on the same speed?
Equal output on each motor!
I watch lord curt’s videos and still understand none of it , obviously my single brain doesn’t have the power to comprehend such wisdom.
Honestly it’s just amazing . Can’t wait to see where this beast goes to in the next vid . Great stuff 👍
Hahaha
Thanks brother!
Awesome, what cells you used?
Headway 38120 8ah

Lord Curt: I'm gonna need about Tree Fitty.
Hahaha
Hell of a build montage.
Looks like a bomb converted into a go cart. Surrounded by bottled up battery FURY.. But she's quick!
thats FACKT
You need to get Regen function with some nice paddle shifters behind the steering. Left is high Regen, right is low Regen. That will make it safe for you
Interesting
Great build your bro is talented Give that man a raise
Nice looks fun :)
Nice jobs guys!
Thanks Jean!
You should get some flexible aluminum conduit and run some of your wire through it, it would look super cool and prevent any mishaps.
For reverse make double pole double throw switch that swaps two of the poles in 3 phase BLDC motor
If you haven't I would appreciate an in depth overview of that Ant BMS
imagine if most cars on road were like this. it would probably be so much safer for pedestrians because the visibility on that thing is amazing. :)
What kind of time/range are you thinking it will have?
Probably good for 10 miles racing, I’m guessing. It’s 5kWh time
51mph on the electric go kart. Wow that’s fast man
That's great
I got the same setup but 1 motor and 12KW peak power from the controller.
You definitely need to turn on Regen in the settings to help with braking.
The motors sound like they are spinning super slow. I'd say you need to gear it lower for more torque. These can do like 9000 RPM with field weakening.
It’s geared high, but as it is intended to be
Impressive the speed and acceleration... I can't wait for the completion of this Kart and the tests with numbers lol, to see how much it does in acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h and its maximum speed. The app on the iPhone isn't very accurate.
Ideas for the Scamboughini maybe???
Give that man a raise
Our HR department has posted a poll on our Instagram, if you'd like to advocate for Lord Curt taking even more money out of my pocket, please cast your vote there. As of now, he will not be receiving a raise. I give the people what they want!!
How much does this thing weigh?
Do you even need brakes if you have dual motors that are independently controlled and reversible? I'm dying to see a kart operated Like a zero turn mower
Lord Kart has striked again !
Incredibly cool
But I think that roll cage may fold like a soggy tissue if you look at it funny :)
Damn son! She's got juice for days!
1 bump and go cart go zip zaping...😂😂😂 well I love that Overkill Idea only missing suspension...
You do know what a go kart is...right?
@@TheInja yeah but having suspension is kinda cool ain't it?....
@@NardjSiy go-karts don't have suspension brother, it helps with handling on such a light vehicle
Told myself I said self this is gonna be heavy 😅
Do a lower horsepower Commute Pod. This way....But single motor.
Helmet's fellas! That bar in front of your head, scares me.
😂 brilliant. What kind of load are those two motors pulling when launching?
Lord Curt will probably reply to you in 2-9 business days, I'll let him answer that!!
The total setup between both is 1700 phase amps and 900 battery amps. They’re programmed to take close to all of it, though I need to adjust a couple parameters to juice it all the way up
YES
Max amps of the controllers? Headspace on max output? Regenerative braking?
1700 phase amps and 900 battery amps between both controllers. The motors and battery can all easily handle that
@@LordCurt
Just wow, wow WOW!
You needa be talking to the techs, at RION, and make the WORD in e-scooters….!!!!!
Holy Cow HeadWay Batteries 200amp of power
It's pretty awesome but I highly suggest better braking system
In highschool we built an electric go kart using a series of 6 car batteries and solar panels, word to the wise unhook batteries before using pliers on cables they weld themselves shut easy.
I've accidentally done that before 🥲
This guy really must realize that with less rolling friction and lighter weight requires fewer batteries and smaller electric motor to achieve a given speed and range.❤❤👌👌❤❤
Wait really???
Ditch that key 🗝️ ignition and replace it with a USB stick. Get a novelty thumb drive like the iron Man arc reactor. Simple mod very very cool detail
Sweet! May want to look at the gearing on it, 90kW should give you more acceleration. I know that the versions of these motors without the gearbox get pretty hot with the small ratio on racing karts.
It’s not juiced all the way up yet, so there’s still more to be had
@@LordCurt Ah gotcha. Yea I was wondering that too, what voltage is the system sitting at right now?
@@AllThingsElectric_ it’s 32s LiFePO4, so 102v nominal, which is the final voltage. The only thing to be changed to enhance the power is some throttle delay and PID parameters, really
The intro sounds like my boss. (I'm self employed 😂)
Hahaha
What roughly is the range and how long to charge fully... I know nothing about electric vehicles. Just if i owned an ev i would always be worried about range anxiety and reliability to be able to fix at road side etc.
Oh find my other comment.
Jealous h8r here.
4 super beasts?!
Deeennng!!!!
People used to hate on lifepo4. And they hate on headways still.
Not justifiably tho...
bro this is so sick. I wish i could make something like this but im broke lol.
Does the lack of suspension effect the handling?
None of these types of karts have Suspension, so the tracks are designed super smooth. On a neighborhood road it definitely affects the handling
Did you honestly wrap that poor Lamborghini in reflective gold vinyl? LMAO. I upvoted this just because at least it wasn't another Chi-com e-bike review.
Give it the beans
We will once it's all welded up, it's just tack welds on most things right now
Maybe when battery density get to the point you all can do a evtol
Are you using any kind of active balancing system on or with the BMS’? If not I’d highly recommend a programmable one with around 2A balance current that turns on at a programmable voltage; 4v for liion, 3.45v for lifepo4 etc.
If you’re solely relying on the built in passive balancing system on the BMS, you’ll quickly lose balance due to the current being pulled in this application.
Even if the cells were perfect balanced and matched initially, they will degrade at different rates from each other and eventually cause problems for ya.
Ideally I’d recommend a solenoid controlled bms (rather than mosfet) with current sensing, and active balancing built in. JK BMS is only a couple hundred bucks and I’ve used them in everything from small electric projects like electric karts, all the way up to my 188KWH battery for my solar :)
nice👍👍
This is hate for the algorithm, love for the build! Lol
Hahaha 🫡
Im running the QS 138 90H on my ebike. Now i want the 180 🤣
