I glad that they help. Don't try to come up either the same load. Do your load development from start to finish. Every rifle shoots different and will like different loads.
Your videos are great Matt! Very informative and I like that you show all the steps that you go through and mention all the factors that you consider. 👍🏼
Staball, Superformance, and even W760 have been some excellent spherical powder choices for my 6.5 Creedmoor. Looks like you got one heck of a good hunting round and I'll consider it for my powder choice. Thank you for the informative video Matt!
Matt I find your reloading development videos extremely helpful and informative. As someone whose working on my second year of developing hunting loads for my customized vanguard s2 30-06 , after watching your hunting load development and seeing the group sizes I know I'm on the right track and will be heading out to Alberta for our two annual hunting trips in October and November with confidence. Here's my load. 165gr sst"s, 61.8gr superformance powder, lapua brass, Federal match gold large rifle primers, set at .007 off the lands. I'm shooting consistent 3in groups @300yds off the bench using a large sand filled shooting bag (support) . Thanks and looking forward to your next load development videos.
dude, you broke the first rule of reloading channels. You’re only supposed to show your hands, occasionally part of your wrist. just kidding, great video
I just tested this combo in my rifle (Savage Axis II Precision). Same brass, trim length, and primer. At 44.7 grains of SF I had a 5 shot group under 1/2”. I was seated at .025 off the lands.
I like your brass trimmer do you have any problems after you set it up changing my rcbs trimmer will drift a little it takes 2 or minor adjustments before it settles down.
In my experience, Reloder 26 is a better choice for the 143 ELD-X. Should yield groups that are every bit as good and about a 150 fps increase in MV without pushing it.
I love it. I am able to use it without a trickler and I am able to consistently get single digit SDs and even sometimes single digit ES. I would say it is well worth the money.
@@mattsreloadingbench Yeah your right nevermind lol, i was looking at a screen shot on my phone looked like a 1. So just from a few of your videos looks like close to max load usually does pretty good as far as grouping
@@seetownwv that is not the only time. If you work your way down more than I do, you very well may find another range of charges that will group well again. I like to stay at the top of the chart for long range stuff. If it was 100yd only type shooting g that I would be doing, I would explore lower in the charge chart. But, the faster the bullet, the less drop that you will have to adjust for.
Typically yes. But for this video, I did not. I wanted to show that you can get good results with minimal equipment. The brass that I used in this video was once fired Hornady brass from some spent cartridges of Precision Hunter ammo that I had.
I’m trying to come up with same load but w h4350. waiting on dies in the mail! First time reloading. Videos like this are so helpful.

Nice video and explanation of your process. Thanks

I'm glad that what I am doing helps. I have been reloading for almost 20 years and I still love to explore as much as possible!
Thanks for watching!

LOL... I actually tried that. I didn't like it. I like putting a face to the voice. LOL

Very nice!
Minnesota? Wisconsin? Working up similar loads myself. Thank you for the info.
Wisconsin

Once it is set, it is locked in. It has locking screws in 2 places.

I would love to get my hands on rl26. But I have not seen that on a store shelf in 5 years
@@mattsreloadingbench I recently got some at Sportsman's Warehouse and the price was very reasonable.
I will have to keep my eyes open for that!
How do you like the Frankford Arsenal powder measurer? I was thinking about getting one.
I love it. I am able to use it without a trickler and I am able to consistently get single digit SDs and even sometimes single digit ES.
I would say it is well worth the money.
What trimmer are you using?
It is an L E Wilson
What made you go up to 44.6 just looking at pressure? I seen in my Hornady book with that powder they don't go over 44.1
In my Hornday manual it shows max is 44.7

@@mattsreloadingbench Good to know, I would rather be on the faster end then.
Brother you shouldn’t breathe the fumes from that one shot spray, that stuff is toxic. Spray your brass outside or in a well ventilated room.
Thanks for watching!
Do you anneal your brass?

Good video , what case trimmer do you have , it looks to be very nice , I want to get one .
It is a L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer. I love it!
