DFB HG 4/4 708 - Erste kurze Fahrt auf der Strecke

- Am 3. Juli 2024 stand die Kesselprüfung des SVTI der frisch aufgearbeiteten Dampflokomotive HG 4/4 708 auf dem Programm. Diese Abnahme wurde mit Bravur bestanden, wozu wir dem Projektteam der Dampflokwerkstätte Uzwil gratulieren.
Anschliessend liess es sich das Team nicht nehmen, mit der Lok eine erste kurze Fahrt auf der Strecke hinter Realp bis zur Zahnstangeneinfahrt zu unternehmen. Als nächstes steht nun noch die dynamischen Inbetriebnahme an. Wir freuen uns die HG 4/4 in Kürze im Doppelpack bestaunen zu können. - Наука та технологія

Stark das sie jetzt läuft. Welche Maschinen stehen als nächstes an, und wird eine weitere hg3/4 wieder aufgebaut werden?
Als Tausch zu der HG 4/4 708 wurde die älteste Original-Furka-Dampflokomotive, die HG 3/4 Nr. 1 in die eigene Dampflokwerkstätte nach Uzwil transportiert. Alle Informationen sind unter www.furka1.ch zu finden. Es ist nicht geplant, noch eine weitere HG 3/4 aufzubauen.

hi, in my country, Indonesia..there are rack railway, and majority use the old locomotive like in the video...Rven the railway are legitimate by UNESCO...
So, I want to ask, Are Furka/Switzerland still produce rack railway with the gear locomotive now??. In our country, that railway are abandoned, and the old gear locomotive, only persist 2😢😢
The Furka railway doesn't produce new locomotives. The one shown in this video was sold to Vietnam and then brought back to Switzerland in the 1990s. It got restored by the Furka Team.
There is a company in Switzerland though that produces new steam locomotives, called DLM Winterthur.
Hello. Thank you for your interest. New steam locomotives are no longer produced in Switzerland. But there are many rack railroads that use restored steam locomotives.
