Staind playing at HBO Reverb, performing "Break." 2001 I posted this video to support Staind and because I am a fan. No copyright infringement is intended.
So I think I'm addicted to this live version. I listen to it at least 10 times a day. The other night I got up to take a leak and I HAD to listen to it at 3:30 am. Is it just me?!
Best era of the group as far as I'm concerned. Imagine if Aaron said; "Ok so um, we're gonna play one of the new record", and the new record was "Break the Cycle". A-lot of old school shit as well! That would be such a bad-ass time to go to a Staind show!
@@HattieJoshIve been wondering...maybe he can reveal things about the Tormented sessions? I cant think of anything stopping him from doing so, now that he isn't in the band. I mean...LISTEN TO THIS!!!! Im sure he remembers a few things about this era!
He changes that line alot, I like it. You go to a concert for something better than the album, not just to hear the album REALLY LOUD. One version he says 'fuck everything that is close to you'
omg aaron lewis's vocals just blew me away man.. i wish staind were heavy like this forever...seriously staind nowadays just not good as they were before...i still can listen to break the cycle album but The Illusion of Progress is just too soft for me man..
HBO REVERB USED TO FUCKIN ROCK! What the hell happened to it? I guess we have UA-cam now, but still....sunday night's, this show was always great no matter the band.
I just listened to this song about 12 striaght times and it's better then the one from the record. Can't get enough! All these fucking thoughs inside my head Are all most more then I can taaaaaake! You push and pull on me You're gonna keep on pushin until I breaaaaak!
He's supposed to say 'kill everyhing thats close to you', instead he said 'hate everything thats close to you' for some reason. Oh well, nice song. And Tormented = Staind's best album.
love this song. Tormented old school, wish they hadn't moved away from it and Dysfunction. Break the Cycle is tolerable but hardcore from their first 2 albums is gone. I wanna have hope for self-titled but we'll see......and damn AL nails vocals every time
Just wondering. Its like hes afraid to say 'kill' cause that might propose something 'murderous'. Dosen't matter. I love this song this way and that way.
@guessimcool It`s It doesn`t sound baritone to me. I think this might be one of the rare tracks that he didn`t use it then. weird..I`ve never seen him play a Gibson other than this time too.
Staind in their prime were such a force. After Break the cycle and 14 shades they declined. Their self titled was decent, I’m not feeling their recent songs at all.
i hate to say but aaron has lost his voice, i mean here he sounds perfect but i've heard him live and it sounds nothing like this anymore. staind is still great though, even with the soft stuff.
Damn, I used to love this era of Staind so much. Tormented and Dysfunction were a huge part of my adolescence.
Extremely underrated tune. The live performance is better than the version on Tormented.
So I think I'm addicted to this live version. I listen to it at least 10 times a day. The other night I got up to take a leak and I HAD to listen to it at 3:30 am. Is it just me?!
it grooves i don't blame ya!
Again...it's 3:48 am this time. ok back to sleep...
greeenpro that’s awesome. i think i’m addicted now
RIP Jon ❤
Anyone else notice Aaron's "yeah" at 1:07 before Mike's breakdown? Fuckin' brutal \m/
Don't you just fucking love Jon's drum sound in this video. Those fills are just sweet.
Holy shit this beats the hell out of the studio version!!
Been saying it for years, They need to remaster Tormented!
Caleb Bartlett yes by far..not even close.
george allen agreed. Definitely
Caleb Bartlett and an even better version search " break live un hambourg" and be blown away! It's the best I've heard by far
nah it aint need no remaster

Playing it just that tad bit faster than on Tormented makes this SO MUCH BETTER than the album version. Plus Jon's drumming is rediculous
nah the normal beat of the heavy riff is still better
shit this is better than the album version
I miss that old a. Lewis
This was back when staind didnt fuck around! This is the real staind!!
Still so fucking badass. This is the song of my college days. i believe I listened to this before every accounting test.
man jon wysocki was a hell of a drummer
Is* he is not dead and is still semi active
@@HattieJoshDoing what? Where is he playing out of, Massachusetts?
@@elijahbrink4596 I believe he's just taking gigs for random underground bands now
@@HattieJoshIve been wondering...maybe he can reveal things about the Tormented sessions? I cant think of anything stopping him from doing so, now that he isn't in the band.

I need tormented era@@elijahbrink4596
Man I'm glad I came up during this era of rock music back then good ol days.
Hell yes, me too!
I was at this concert and I saw myself in the moshpit. Haha Memories.
I listen to this song a couple times a day and it sounds better the more i listen to it
THis perfomrance is so sick!
Seen them do this in concert and wow! I was ready to snatch him off the stage and pay my respects *wink*
He changes that line alot, I like it. You go to a concert for something better than the album, not just to hear the album REALLY LOUD. One version he says 'fuck everything that is close to you'
When you're looking for vids on UA-cam from the Tormented album and you find this. Speechless
J.D. Wrong yup! This shits hard to find. Miss the old stuff
@@RickTFoster I seem to come back here everyday. \m/ good job man.
2022 still ripping to this
A truly amazing song and great love show.
My FAVORITE Staind tune BY FAR; glad to have seen this when it first aired on HBO then later on, buy the EP that had this tune, from eBay 🤘🤘🤘
Best performance I've ever seen.
Would give anything to just go back and be there...
Kickass song.. damn it's so intense man - I love it
I love every staind song
I first heard this song a couple weeks ago & the first time I listened to it I loved it.
omg aaron lewis's vocals just blew me away man.. i wish staind were heavy like this forever...seriously staind nowadays just not good as they were before...i still can listen to break the cycle album but The Illusion of Progress is just too soft for me man..
First time I've ever seen Mike using a Les Paul
Aaron was a badass before he got married. Now he's just a fucking amazing musician and songwriter. Both versions are great.
verdammt geile band ;DD
selten schafft es ein sänger so zu überzeugen !!
it comes out Aug. 19 and it's called "The Illusion of Progress" their first single, "Believe," is already out, u can hear it on their myspace.
HBO REVERB USED TO FUCKIN ROCK! What the hell happened to it? I guess we have UA-cam now, but still....sunday night's, this show was always great no matter the band.
Yeah i had Staind, Cold, Mudvayne, Tantric, and Disturbed recorded on VHS lol
I just listened to this song about 12 striaght times and it's better then the one from the record. Can't get enough!
All these fucking thoughs inside my head
Are all most more then I can taaaaaake!
You push and pull on me
You're gonna keep on pushin until I breaaaaak!
this album 'Tormented' is awesome and so are all the rest the new album is supposed to really heavy
Its so awsome how a guy like Aaron Lewis doesn't have to sing those high notes to throw it down bad ass!
2021 still rocking this shit!
yea i have tormenteds version, it would be sweet i could get this live version
They change the lyrics sometimes when they are live that's makes it better.
@sgwinn1 @sgwinn1 he played outside during this show..and the crowd loved it...LOL
The name of the song is "BREAK" your not a Staind fan if u don't know the names of their songs!
Thx 4 sharing!
Break and Tolerate where the only songs I could find live from the Tormented album. Thank You!
I think you can find "Come Again" too. I read they started playing it live since 2006.
Berserk!

Wow damnit that performance is so great!
i love this song. i wish it was more popluar!
He's supposed to say 'kill everyhing thats close to you', instead he said 'hate everything thats close to you' for some reason. Oh well, nice song. And Tormented = Staind's best album.
2021 still here

When Wysocki was a beast
He was, miss him. Love Sal but Jon was such an integral part of the bands sound.
love this song. Tormented old school, wish they hadn't moved away from it and Dysfunction. Break the Cycle is tolerable but hardcore from their first 2 albums is gone. I wanna have hope for self-titled but we'll see......and damn AL nails vocals every time

@guessimcool It`s It doesn`t sound baritone to me. I think this might be one of the rare tracks that he didn`t use it then. weird..I`ve never seen him play a Gibson other than this time too.
As I recall reading, most of their first album, Tormented (which this song is from), was written in Drop C# tuning.
@mrhu91081 some of their new album coming out in SEPT is on youtube. Its pretty heavy compared to the past few albums. Check it out
The Lost Boys vibes
did they come out wit a new album yet?
is this a dvd i could buy?
Staind in their prime were such a force. After Break the cycle and 14 shades they declined. Their self titled was decent, I’m not feeling their recent songs at all.
Uh no its called "Break" actually..
he changes lyrics when its live, Whats the big deal??
well he has smoked cigs and pot everyday for like 15 years lol.. that don't help.. and his voice is still good.. obv cigs and pot don't help
i hate to say but aaron has lost his voice, i mean here he sounds perfect but i've heard him live and it sounds nothing like this anymore. staind is still great though, even with the soft stuff.
