A lot of reactors are surprised/frustrated that the conductor didn't seem to react to the first zombie girl who jumped onto the train, but people are always rushing to get in at the last minute. He heard her but had no reason to be suspicious. As a daily train commuter I've made a deranged dash for the doors many a times in my life XD
Agreed. As well as nearly all reactors seem to think they should immediately start killing people. In a real life situation and you see someone convulsing on the ground, you don't bash their heads in, you try to help. When you're on a train at 6 am, you don't really pay attention to everyone else walking (or stumbling) past you. You're watching a zombie movie, so you expect it. They're people going about their lives, not expecting all hell to break loose.
The saddest part of the movie is only sad because of how well the child actresses did. Emotionally it's gut wrenching but it's only because of how she cried and screamed. Perfect perfect perfect.
To me that's not the only reason it's sad lol It's sad to me because a man gave his life to save his daughter and the pregnant lady and how his last few seconds before he turned was the first time he held his daughter
I hope not only me appreciated the heroism of the Homeless guy not just once, but twice. First, when he covered a cloth to the zombie's head who's attacking Gong Yoo's character, second when he sacrificed his life for the pregnant woman and the little girl. :(( One of my favorite characters in this masterpiece.
Train to Busan has a prequel call “Seoul Station” and a sequel call “Peninsula” the prequel is an animated movie actually very very good. It shows the beginning of the pandemic. And the sequel takes place way after train to Busan I can’t remember but I think it’s a year later or more. I recommend all since they are very very good. Also Gong Yoo (squid salesman) is a huge star in S.Korea so it’s always a treat to see his acting. Loved this reaction from you guys thank u so much
Really enjoyed your reaction guys. The little girl actor Kim Su-An who played 'Soo-An' would have been about 9/10 years old when she played this role as the Fund Manager 'Seok-Woo's daughter and to this day I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how this child didn't get an Oscar for that role especially gripping hold of her father begging him not to go, blaming herself and then that crying and screaming towards the end, ripped my heart out , even now after watching this in 2016 it still has me in floods of 😭. I was SOOOOOO UPSET we lost our hero, BIG guy 'Sang hwa' the pregnant lady's husband who was bitten on the hand trying to hold the carriage door closed.😢 'Soo-An's dad, 'Seok-Woo' didn't have to put his hand across the mouth of the selfish COO 'Yon-suk's mouth and get bitten, but I realise he did it as a last minute attempt to stop him from getting to his daughter and the pregnant 'Sung-Gyeong'. The main antagonist/villan wasn't a rich random businessman, but 'Yon-suk' is the rich chief operating officer of the company Stallion Express who is one of the many passengers aboard that train traveling from Seoul to Busan, he caused that whole situation on the train to escalate and get worse because of his selfishness. The newspaper and water trick on the glass was clever by the pregnant 'Sung-Gyeong'. Serious Korean zombie horror CLAUSTROPHOBIC TENSION.😱😰😲😭
Want to see baseball guy in a really good villain role? You should watch the film "The Witch Part 1: Subversion". Also includes the drug lord from 'My Name'. A great film to react to react to. I swear, it must've been made by the same people who did 'My Name'.
"NOT THE HAND IN THE MOUTH!!!" Best way to keep him from biting. He was literal inches away from the pregnant woman...he saved her at the cost of his own life.
I think the big guy (Ma Deong-Seok aka Don Lee) is everyone's favourite character. He was a supporting actor for most of his career until fairly recently. If you would like to see him kick some more ass, I'd recommend "Seongnan hwangso" [Unstoppable]. It's sort of like a Korean version of "Taken", but instead of Liam Neeson's ex-special forces badass as the hero, it's Ma Deong-Seok who's a fish salesman. Trailer - ua-cam.com/video/4-lI3kgCPok/v-deo.html
The movie choice, the commentary, the editing: chef's kiss! Please consider watching if you haven't already "the call" or "call" it's also a Korean movie buts it's so so good. It's like mystery, thriller, action all in one.
Not sure if anyone has explained it already but the reason why the first infected girl on the train took so long to turn compared to the attendant she bit was because of the location of the bite - first girl was bitten on the leg while the attendant was bitten on the neck; the closer to the brain the faster you turn. This is the same for All of Us are Dead which you guys also reacted to where the student was bitten on the finger by the rat, same for the school nurse who was bitten on the forearm and both took longer than the bully guy that turned almost instantly when he got bit on the cheek by the student nurse. This is just from my observations (not unique to me though ofc) and not confirmed but you can see consistent hints about it with the other characters who got bit later on the film.
one of the best zombie so far. 😊😊✌️ train to busan 2 peninsula kinda s*cks for me .. but its all up to u if u gonna react that movie.. i still watching u guys.. love your reaction..
Thanks for your reaction. 19:23 your favourite character : this South Korean-American actor, Ma Dong-seok is really superb. I recommend watching The Outlaws (2017) and The Roundup (2022) where Ma Dong-seok starred as main character. These 2 movies are based on true events, and Ma Dong-seok is such a fun character to watch. He retains all his charm, his acting is convincing and the movies use humour really well.
It's laughable. America has more guns than people. What, it's gonna be a movie about bunch of Americans shooting all the zombies and running out of things to shoot?
35:19 Seriously? This is what you what you come up with for a guy who is doing the safest and most selfless thing to prevent the woman from being bitten (and during such a desperate struggle)? Yikes.
6:05 just to note his job isn't to stop people from getting on trains, its his job to signal when there's no one left 'to' get on trains so he didn't screw up here.
Do they have different subtitles for US Netflix versus everywhere else? At the very end, when the soldiers in Busan were contacting their higher-ups for instructions, the subtitles read 'Kill them.' but in Singapore, it was 'Eliminate them.'
Hi, will you react to more Korean movies since many of them are so incredible. Based on true story - Hope - Taxi Driver - Silenced - Memories of murder - The admiral roaring currents Others - I saw the devil (fav serial killer mv) - The wailing (fav horror mv) - Assassination (the FL also plays as Ashin in Kingdom, and she’ll probably the main villain in season3) - Along with the Gods 1&2 (one of the MC is the crown prince in Kingdom) - Miracle in cell no.7 (truly a masterpiece)
11:10 Really? For the preceding five minutes, you two were like, "Close. The. Door." and "Forget him, it's too late." 32:24 You missed the older of the two elderly sisters.
I saw a post about the little girl not knowing Gong Yoo ( which is her father in the movie) are going to die at the end of the movie. She was told about the plot that the 3 of them will survive until the end not knowingly her dad will not make it at the end. Which I believe makes the whole scene much better because the little girl acting was on point. I don't know if it's real or not. So...🤷😭
There's a prequel and a sequel to this movie all by the same director. Prequel is Soul Station and sequel is train to Busan 2 Peninsula. Only the prequel is good while sequel sucks and is a stand alone movie.

I cry every single time at the end of this , The a little girl deserves all the awards.
Train to Busan is one of the only movies that makes me cry. Mostly cause the end of the movie is just so sad! :(

I'm Korean. That kid grew up nicely and is still very good at acting on TV shows.
This movie was crazy! How’d everyone else feel about Train to Busan?
The best zombie movie ever in terms of plot and storyline.
I was lucky to see it in the theater and yea I teared up at the end as well haha and everyone Ik that watched it loved it as well

Yes he's right. The remake of this movie into American version is called "Train to New York", with James Wan (Aquaman) producing it.
