Just a reminder that this is kinda how the Switch Lite was leak so it's anyways a 50% real and other 50% fake because it's taking a "leak" that in the past worked.
Just because its not an OLED doesn't mean its going to be a downgrade - this is just misinformation. It is only a downgrade if its a cheap panel, like the OG Switch had. LCD's can still produce just as rich colours, at brighter levels (for outdoor use) and are easier/cheaper to mass produce. The question is - Are they using a high end LCD or a cheap panel again, that should be the real question.
Usually yeah when you're under NDA you can't take photos video or talk about it. I'm under nda for new tech so if you can get footage then you're usually a paid tester on location w proctored usage. Unless they walk out of the room and there's 10 of us in the room. So yes it's either going to be shitty footage or fake.
Honestly I'd be more inclined to think that footage was real if it didn't look exactly like the 3D print that Chinese UA-camr had. If one person managed to get a 3D printed version of the design from someone already, I feel like it's much more likely someone else has another from the same source than filmed a real unit. Especially since there's stuff like the buttons not having any print. Also, I do think it's a real possibility they could reveal it at the very end (as in last few days) of the year. The Switch had it's barebones reveal 6 months before the announcement and 3 months before even the big showcase, so even if it comes out as late or May or June it wouldn't be unrealistic timing for us to see it.
Y’all do realize it’s already been confirmed by the Nintendo president in a stockholder call that the Nintendo switch two will be backwards compatible with all Nintendo switch games so why would announcing the 2 take any thunder away from any game you can buy the new system and still play that new game on the new system
Here's my completely unfounded take with zero evidence, I think the screens will be oled or equivilent-ish, but the 2nd sku will be for a model that includes additional storage and a vr headset.
I personally really dislike the fact it's getting bigger... It's already quite bulky to take along with you and it's only gonna be worse. Kinda defeats the point of a handheld at this point
Yeah but it's a hybrid. It makes sense to have the screen be massive so theres less difference between handheld and tv. Besides, a lite model will probably be released thats 2-3 inches smaller.
@@continental_consumer To me a hybrid would mean that it's properly usable in both states, and I doubt anyone would reasonably expect the handheld screen to be the same as their tv. At this point it just seems wasteful to even have a screen on it if it's almost as good as a tv anyways, and isn't that portable. Just make a home console at that point
@@scrunkore Yeah true, I would never get one of those cause of it. I guess the technology isnt full there yet to get the graphics people want on anything smaller/lighter
Who else here would probably end up playing their current Switch library on a Switch 2: I have so many unfinished or un-started games? (Roughly 200 digital games on a 1TB card). I want for my current Switch library: 1080p on handheld, better/more stable frame rates, bigger OLED screen, faster WIFI and improved Bluetooth, quicker loading times. Some nice updates to current games to be played on SW2: small fee perhaps!? Then of course SW2 only games.
If they redesigned the dock to be smaller and the mechanism for it to be faster than the current Switch, I feel like the name Nintendo Snap would be perfect. The advertising writes itself; "Play games in a Snap" "Connect with friends in a Snap" "Take your games on-the-go in a Snap"
I'm expecting Odyssey 2 as a launch title to showcase more controller features. They did give Ubisoft advice on sequels when Sparks of Hope didn't do as good as the first game. Plus, with all the Palworld stuff, I'm guessing their follow up is a Pokemon game for November 2025 with multiplayer (and expanded features launching Winter 2026)
400€ si too much. The succes of the Switch has a lot to do with the fact that it is relatively cheap compared to Sony’s and Microsoft’s offering. They tried to rise the prices with the launch of the 3ds and it was a disaster. I hope it is not more than 350€, at least for a base model. I could see them releasing a pro or oled model down the line for more money.
Price to perceived value. 3DS launch price was high because its perceived value didnt justify the price. A 400$ or even 450$ Switch 2 with what we know about the console is completely reasonnable. Also why would they price their next gen machine the same as the Switch OLED? How does that make any sense? Especially when the latter has been the best selling Switch model since it released.
Although I think the joycon leaks are real, I *really* hope they are fake. I have enough trouble trying to hold the original joycons, and that giant trigger on the back means even less room to hold it, especially if it is just for something a simple button can do if the leaks are true and it is for releasing the grip. Also, a second IR camera when the switch barely even used the one it had means these will cost a fortune.
Tell me you’ve never been in a secure site/SCIF without telling me… the whole rant about the quality and how “quick” they move away from the unit is literally all explained logically by the fact that it’s a secure area of whatever factory these are assembled at. Their supply chain is too large at this point to pretend these recent leaks aren’t real, especially if you follow anything related to Apple - they’re just as secretive as Nintendo and everything of theirs leaks legitimately too.
the dude didnt even try to hide his face in the screen protector pic comparison, no way its real. nintendo will hunt him down if it is, even over something as plain and useless as screen protectors
honestly i think that horribly blurry video is real, i know from toy industry leaks that sometimes leakers will actively obscure products, presumably as a way of not getting caught somehow, especially when they’re trying to sell off stolen prerelease samples from the factory. it’s pretty in line with that to show off something obscured in hopes that the buyer will know what it is but not the factory they’ve yoinked it from.
Please stop adding Super to anything for console names I highly doubt Nintendo or any modern big tech company is gonna use that kind of name again it’s not the 90’s anymore 😭
Cuz u usually cant have phones with you at the factory to prevent exactly this kind of thing, so this is probably a small camera device that was snucked in
Y’all are so traumatized by the Wii U, it shows. Lmao Nintendo calling the system something other than Switch 2 will not kill the system. It all comes down to marketing. The Wii U’s marketing was notoriously dogshit. So much so that Nintendo immediately let go of the marketing firm they hired to advertise the Wii U.
these leaks and rumours really aren't exciting imo. i'm always wanting to hear some news or leak, but it really seems like the switch brand is going to keep being milked lol. i really hope if they do keep it similar that there IS something different there. maybe some uniqueness like the 3ds had with streetpass and stuff? would be nice
In a ideal world, the Switch 2 would be called the "Switch Up." Get it? Its a double entendre. It's a pun, but also short for "Switch Uprade", implying a direct upgrade from the original Switch, and it's memorable.
Yeah that video, I don't trust it either...the name, I dunno...I feel like it won't be Switch 2, but something similar. Super Switch, Switch U, something like that will probably be likely knowing Nintendo. lol
Never before has a new console felt so boring. Speculation amounts to "it's a switch but better" said 100 ways for 4yrs as people pretend they aren't begging for more capable hardware.
Because of that, Switch 2 would differentiate itself with new system features and the new games. Its sales numbers will surge when a new Mario Kart comes out and Nintendo starts bundling Switch 2s with the new Mario Kart every holiday season afterwards.
@@Kevdawg207 with most Nintendo consoles, a large huge chunk of their sales numbers come from Mario Kart games, more specifically Mario Kart console bundles.
@@lol-ih1tl well yes I know. What I am implying is they could sell 2 consoles or 2 billion and none of that matters to me. The zeitgeist's reaction to Switch 2 is not my personal excitement. Hence saying never has a new console felt so boring. Their success is not my success as I am not a shareholder.
I am of the mindset that anything "leaked" is false. Remember all the "leaks" we had about the NX? I'm hoping the Switch 2 will bring dual display and have the IR Sensor on the top of the JoyCons to bring DS, Wii U and Wii gameplay styles to the already established and proven hybrid system of the Switch, which seems more in line with Nintendo's brand of making use of nostalgia and gimmick for their next consoles rather than just making it more powerful like Sony does.
“give me more overpriced useless gimmicks on an already underpowered console that can’t run its own games anymore, instead of iterating on that console with more power!”
@@cwega2463 And yet those underpowered console with "useless gimmicks" outsold their competition by large margins, including the Wii, DS, 3DS and Switch. The only gimmicky console that failed was the Wii U, but not because of its gimmick, rather because of Nintendo's piss poor marketing and refusal to understand the market at the time. And then we have Sony with its consoles that are just the same but more powerful, in an era where graphics just don't get that much better between generations anymore, and devs are relying so much on raw power they forgot to optimize their games to the point 60fps is still not industry standard, requiring shortcuts like DLSS and Frame generation to make up for their incompetency! The Switch is capable of running the Witcher 3, Dark Souls Remastered and Doom despite its lack of power compared to the rest of the industry! That shows the issue isn't with the console's power, but rather how developers make use of it! The Switch 2 is rumored to be 4 times more powerful than the current Switch, with proper optimization it's more than possible to implement the features I listed and have games running smoothly on the device, combining the gimmicks that made Nintendo outsell their competition with power to run more graphically advanced games!
@ doom and witcher 3 run terribly on switch. it’s not even a good comparison. yes they’re there, but they’re worse in every single way, and often the same price as other versions. we don’t need more random gimmicks, this is the most popular the brand has ever been, it’s time to iterate, not go for the blue ocean strategy again. the switch was a great gimmick. i just say stick with it.
@@cwega2463 It can have the Switch gimmick and the other console's gimmicks as well! Power alone doesn't translate to sales nor third party support, Nintendo has proven that with the N64 and GCN, and now everyone can do the Switch's gimmick with the numerous Steam Deck like devices that will end up being far more powerful than what the Switch 2 will be in a few years! Just making a Switch 2 but more powerful will not work out for them! It's the gimmicks that do, provided they have clear benefits to gaming (like the N64's analog stick and the Wii's gyroscope, which became industry standard, and the DS's dual screen gameplay, which made it the best selling portable device ever), especially if they're repeating gimmicks that have proven to be system sellers all packed in a single device with the same power level as a PS4! Nintendo has always sold less units than the previous generation when all they did was increase the system's power (NES - 61.91 millions > SNES - 49,1; N64 32.93 > GCN 21.74; Game Boy - 118.69 > GBA - 81.51; NDS 154.02 > 3DS - 75.94). Nintendo won't want to have the same thing happen to the Switch 2, they'll want it to outsell the original Switch, so why would they copy the same format their own history has proven to lead to less sales than its predecessor? Nintendo needs the gimmicks to sell, gimmicks that do benefit gameplay by introducing different control options! THAT is when they are at the top of their game and the recipe for success they always had! Brand alone does not sell Nintendo consoles, just look at the Wii U!
@ if it was a more powerful switch, with a new gimmick, it would literally be more expensive than a ps5. also, not only have most nintendo console sequel that don’t have gimmicks sold less than the previous, so did the ones with gimmicks. nintendo’s general console sales in general decreased from NES to GC and the from Gameboy to GBA. then with the Wii it was new so it sold a lot, same with the DS. both of their gimmicky successors sold less. the Wii U because of bad marketing, and the 3DS sold good but still 50% less than the DS. the Wii and Switch are literally just outliers. every other nintendo console sells less than the previous, with a gimmick or not. that’s just inevitable. ironically, the ps2, literally just a more powerful ps1, sold so much more it’s by far the best selling home console of all time. then the ps3 sold less. then the ps4 sold way more than the ps3. then the ps5 sold less than the ps4. all just being power iterations. there’s literally no pattern here. the gimmicks don’t make the console, it’s the good branding and games. also to have the mindset of “they will want to outsell the original switch” is kinda silly considering the switch is on page to become the best selling console ever in the next 2 years, taking over a record that’s been held for 2 decades. no company is realistically going to expect the successor to the record breaking smash hit (that broke a decades old record) to do it again, and more. nintendo is probably hoping for a lifetime of 80-100 million for switch 2.

It looks real to me. Especially with the news and leaks ramping up.
It would be so funny if they brought back the glasses-free 3D and called it the Nintendo 3D Switch or something 🤣
I won’t get a Switch 2 at launch because I got mine pretty late, but with naked eye 3D? Shut up and take my money
OLED HDR AND ADAPTIVE TRIGGERS.
i wish
Wii U Mentioned
The "hidden camera" hypothesis that could explain the low quality of the video. I have one and yeah, it's very shit.
Just make a home console at that point
the switch is actually one of the smallest systems of its kind, steam deck is absolutely massive in comparison
@@scrunkore Yeah true, I would never get one of those cause of it. I guess the technology isnt full there yet to get the graphics people want on anything smaller/lighter
I'm sure there'll be another lite edition released for handheld purists at some point.
4:30 why does it need to be so big?
This guy on the left sounds like a granddad.
No way they go away from the Switch brand tho, at this point it's almost as strong as Nintendo itself.
only the "play games in a snap" sounds natural since it's an existing saying, the other two sound really unnatural.
Switch 2. Please come with some Mobapad 6HD style of Joycons
Is Switch 2 going to get „blue light filter”?
As it’s missing in Switch 1 from unknown reason 🤔🤔🤔
I fear the name "New" Switch.
You can easily find a bad camera these days.
does anyone know what the song they use in the end half of the video is from?
Still expecting March reveal and September release
I can't believe they're still using joycons
Hopefully Switch 2 is not another Wii U.
These are all 100% real it’s all about timing
Anyone got a tldr on the supposed release date
honestly i think that horribly blurry video is real, i know from toy industry leaks that sometimes leakers will actively obscure products, presumably as a way of not getting caught somehow, especially when they’re trying to sell off stolen prerelease samples from the factory. it’s pretty in line with that to show off something obscured in hopes that the buyer will know what it is but not the factory they’ve yoinked it from.
Please stop adding Super to anything for console names I highly doubt Nintendo or any modern big tech company is gonna use that kind of name again it’s not the 90’s anymore 😭
New Nintendo Switch XL
The switch 2 cow has been milked to skin and bones at this point
To rumour spreaders and leakers, not at all
the logo is fake because the edges look iffy
Are you guys really confused as to why some factory worker in China might not have a 4K camera sitting in their pocket?
It's blurred to reduce that person being personally identified.
They can be identified by reflections or items in the surroundings.
I can’t wait
€400 it dang well better have oled.
Lets goo Switch 2!
I also don't get why they film it with like a 2000s camera somehow, like... Come on
Cuz u usually cant have phones with you at the factory to prevent exactly this kind of thing, so this is probably a small camera device that was snucked in
Not buying it but the Switch 2 has to show up at some point right? Come on Nintendo we’re dying over here. 😂😂😂
Y’all are so traumatized by the Wii U, it shows. Lmao
Nintendo calling the system something other than Switch 2 will not kill the system. It all comes down to marketing.
The Wii U’s marketing was notoriously dogshit. So much so that Nintendo immediately let go of the marketing firm they hired to advertise the Wii U.
Would be cool to go back to the 90's era of console naming. "Super Nintendo Switch 2"
these leaks and rumours really aren't exciting imo. i'm always wanting to hear some news or leak, but it really seems like the switch brand is going to keep being milked lol. i really hope if they do keep it similar that there IS something different there. maybe some uniqueness like the 3ds had with streetpass and stuff? would be nice
'New' Nintendo Switch
Should've called it the 'Super Switcheroo'
just show the damn thing already....
In a ideal world, the Switch 2 would be called the "Switch Up." Get it? Its a double entendre. It's a pun, but also short for "Switch Uprade", implying a direct upgrade from the original Switch, and it's memorable.
That’s just Switch U with an extra letter lol
SO MANY RUMORS
The Nintendo Engage.
billy billy
it's actually spelt Bilibili
Hmmm.
How is it boring? Lmao
Still stand by Super Switch being the best option I’ll begrudgingly admit switch 2 makes the most sense great vid fellas
Yeah that video, I don't trust it either...the name, I dunno...I feel like it won't be Switch 2, but something similar. Super Switch, Switch U, something like that will probably be likely knowing Nintendo. lol
I think it's legit
I’ll still hold out hope for “Super Nintendo Switch” being the name
Releasing low quality out of focus video in the year of our lord 2024 is the biggest red flag lmao
@lol-ih1tl meh I am not a shareholder.
@@Kevdawg207doubt Nintendo is actually caring for shareholder’s success, they just do what they want to do and their success.
FFS WHO CARES
