    I didn't think about the details here and the use of dynamic values so it's truly procedural. Just goes to show you, like code there's usually a lot more details to a "simple" project once you dig deeper. Great job, thank you!

    I have a tip for those who noticed that when it's twisted too much, the cable is being flattened :
    -set the radius of the cables to 0 so that it just becomes twisted lines
    -after the curve to mesh, add a merge by distance
    -then mesh to curve again
    -curve to mesh again with profile curve : circle input with the radius of your choice
    and that's it, not flattened anymore, maybe there's a better way to do this, but it's the best i've found

    also for anyone stuck around 20:00 and your barbzzz are either not showing up like in the video or ended with a lot of spikes/curves acting crazy, i advice u to check or tweak the scale of your barbs (THAT problem was supposed to be fixed by adding the modulo + boolean math + integer but i fixed whatever that was tweaking the scale) i'm using 3.2.2 btw
    hope it helps :)

    Hi! I hope its possible to use all the implemented functions in a new script.. I plan to create an automatic transformation which could work similar to your wire-calc. You know movies with blood demons or - another example - tentacle-winged demons and angels(DIABLO II: Tyrael and Baal in its half-human-form)? I will try a transformation from any mesh (human/animal..) to a bundle of partial twisting and/or splitting tentacles. Its to much work to set every curve manually. What do you think?

  • @outtellect

    if your curve circle is acting weird (moving along all axes instead of one) use "vector math" node instead of "math" node!

    Im using Blender 3.1 and Im new. Ive been following the tutorial and when I get into the Geomotry Nodes I end up with different solutions. I've slowed down the video and did a 1 to 1 movement and for some reason I get different solutions. Im not exactly too sure why. Ive tried doing it multiple times and in dfferent ways. I cant seem to get the wires next to other, they keep ending up in front of each other. As well as the barbed part doesnt get any thickness when I connect it to the orignal radius or add in math nodes.

      @@JoeyCarlino Thanks for the quick reply and the video man! Just wondering, I'm trying to get the same movement effect as you showed in your bundle preview. I can create movement in the wire by animating the twist of the wire. Now I just need to move the barbs along the points to finish this off, but can't seem to find what node to animate. Do you know how I could do this?

    • @JoeyCarlino
      @JoeyCarlino  Рік тому +1

      I think I was moving the whole wire and not individual points. The way I set it up here, moving the points wouldn't be smooth. You can use a sample curve node to move instances along a curve but that's hard to explain in a comment and I haven't made a video about that yet
