I have a pair of Chinese water dragons I a 4x4x7 grow tent with a dog pool in the bottom with a three in one waterfall filter platform in there a ton of climbing branches throughout it and a live plant and it looks incredible. Holds humidity and heat extremely well
I'm going touse a grow tent for my future tegu and not gonna lie I'm excited for it to look plain on the outside and when I open it up to show it off to friends and family it look bad ash like a whole ecosystem inside be cause I'm going to try for a bioactive😅
I have a grow tent for a tegu with a crystal clear vinyl on the front. I’m gonna build a wooden enclosure because it gets kind of annoying zipping the door open and closed. And it’s kind of an eye sore with a big ass grow tent in my room. I just think a wooden enclosure is going to be way better regardless if you would like to sit and observe your reptile. It’s just not the same and you wouldn’t understand unless you have a grow tent enclosure... but it won’t hurt to also try one out considering they’re dirt cheap. Not for me personally. Actually It gets really fucking annoying Zipping and unzipping it not kinda.
Looking at the pricing on US Amazon for those bamboo/reed fence rolls, buying enough of them to cover the walls of my tegu enclosure would cost more than I spent on the enclosure itself. Since the whole point of using a grow tent is the low price, I think that kind of defeats the point. Does anyone have any ideas about how I could decorate the walls of my 5x10x8ft grow tent enclosure without breaking the bank?
Im thinking about purchasing a growtent next year. But one with a fully transparent front. For plants though not any animals. However I *might* consider getting one for herps, maybe a chameleon. If I go that route I sure will take your advice!
Chameleons typically need LOTS of air flow to survive and thrive hence the screen enclosures. Grow tents are great for SO many living things but not chameleons :)
Tristan Simpson that would mostly only circulate that air Thats in side of the tent for the most part. With that being said, I myself and no one I know of has tried it. It could be a bit of a gamble. I personally wouldn’t do it. My veiled chameleon has a screen enclosure and that’s worked quite well for him though I do have to do a daily spray down to keep humidity up for him but I don’t mind. :)
I'm looking to get a grow tent for my water dragon and I have a quick question. I saw that your light is inside the tent, how do you deal with the corrosion on your equipment due to the high humidity required by water dragons?
I am thinking of getting a grow tent but i have some questions and would be thankful for anyone to answer😊 1.Would this exact size grow tent be a good permanent home for and adult water dragon? 2.How would I put the lights need inside the tent?
My grandson and I got a water dragon recently, we are new. We got a grow tent and we don't know if it needs the ventilation and what about the humidity? Do they still need a fogger ?
Would you be able to tell me everything you used to make the enclosure? Was it just the tent, basking light and uvb lights or did you have a ventilation system in there?
Also, for the branches, you can cut logs into thin circles like a plate almost and then basically screw them to the bottom of the branches so that they stand up right or at least have less of a chance to slip and fall!
@@Dakotahblueexotics but how will I kno itll be safe for my tent from bugs and stuff I'm need like 4 or 5 ft logs so it's not like I can boil them or throw in the oven
I appreciate your response sir. I will also be taking the extremely hard and stupid route of bamboo fencing in the enclosure after the tent is around the frame lol.
Great video! Happy to see another thriving Chinese water dragon!
Always aweome to get a water dragon compliment from the cwd king himself 😎
Great response to the criticism. Gave me lots of ideas for mine!
I purchased one for my tegu, and she loves it.

We went over that in one video. "How to set up a grow tent for a tegu"
Ik this is unrelated to the vid but quince monitors faces are soooooo CUTE
How do you set up the heat lamps in there? Also is there electrical outlets on that?

Cool vid
Is ther a way I can contact you and talk about modifying grow tents? I'm working on mine now. It's 8x4x6
Do you just use branches from outside? If so, how do you ensure they are safe for the reptile?
That's really impressive
Could a grown tent enclosure work for any lizard?
I wouldn’t use them for monitors tegus or iguanas, other than that they should be ok
@@zenpredatorsjadejones1928 Why? They work fine for all of those.
@@jessiefranklin9318 I’ve never seen a grow tent in real life. It seems like the claws would tear the enclosure. No?

What size is the water dragons grow tent? Would a 4x2x6 work for an adult? Great video!
This one is a 3x3x6 I believe so yes.

do you need a ventilation system in that I'm putting my Chinese wate dragon in one?
