I hadn't noticed before just how driven his sound is, guitar is trying it's best to feed back all the time, but his right pinky is always covering the volume to cut it inbetween passages. I'm not as big a fan as I used to be, but like him or not, you cannot deny his technique.
I’ve seen the Maesto in concert many times. He never disappoints. I’m always in awe of his playing. His pedal board has more than one pedal.

Agreed, it just irked me that the rest of the band always took the time to come out and give thanks to the dozen or so of us out there looking for an autograph but he couldn't give us the time of day and scooted out there within a minute of his last note. At least I got Ripper to sign my Judas Priest Tattoo, though. that was cool

Saw yngwie when he first came to Australia and could do nothing but stand in awe as I watched him play.
The efficiency and economy of high right hand picking never fails to impress me.

His recent output has been so-so, but he will always remain an inspiration to me, everytime I hear him play, I just want to pick up the guitar and play, and that's what it's all about at the end of the day.
Too bad he doesn't have a producer anymore. I waas listening to Magnum Opus the othe day and the production was very good, he needs to get a real prodcuer (and drummer) back

Ya know i've never really understood his haters lol. I'm not saying i've been a mega fan of his. But it really is clear how much he has influenced thousands of popular guitarist around the world for the past 30 some odd years now. I know with all the heavy technical players now a days that play faster and more complex than he does but still he really is an innovator. And he really is a great composer and arranger.

@@stephanea5364 Young players like Matteo Mancuso, Josh Meader, Max Ostro & others do play more complicated lines, and maybe sometimes faster. They do play very clean. But my point is that Yngwie is the original, they have all learned from him, and he plays with the FURY! And part of what I love about him is that he stays straightforward, like a knight on his steed charging straight ahead, or like an arrow going straight to the bullseye. And he plays with more emotion than most.🎸🔥🔥🔥💥🌋🤯

Haterz can yak all they want - Yngwie is simply the finest practitioner of his chosen style of music. Fact. Though to be fair, even I can only listen to most of his music for about 20 minutes at a time before my brain starts to hurt. Still, there can be no denying his technical brilliance.
This is true. And, he STILL writes amazingly epic stuff.
Guitarists... watch his hands (especially his right hand) and keep replaying it until you get it through your head = Economy of movement, but more importantly ZERO TENSION!

This is Yngwie's personal style, but many years ago he guested on a British magazine's free CD, played a twelve bar blues boogie for about 4 mins, and absolutely obliterated any other blues player you could name. The guy's a REAL guitarist, ask Guthrie Govan!👍

I understand you get more unwanted noise from those settings Yngwie but if you did more recordings of the same thing then dident use the ones for your albums with the least noise and the ones thats played the cleanest you would truely have supreme masterpieces.
