- In this #shorts video, I explain how to pull the N54 engine from a BMW 135i. The same steps would apply to a BMW 335i, and the N55 engine. My 2008 BMW 135i was single turbo making 750whp before the stock engine finally gave up. I removed it so I can rebuild or repair it.

@@JuanTorres-pq8fd well I build houses for a living I find that very easy but I’m sure a mechanic wouldn’t mate… taking a bumper off in 30seconds is difficult I couldn’t get me tool box out in 30seconds 🤣 take me longer to choose a screwdriver… also it was only a bit of banter!

I honestly think just take an extra 30 minutes and remove the core support, makes it a little easier, just move the AC condencer to the side.

I’ve done an engine swap on this car. If it’s a automatic I highly highly recommend taking the transmission out, attaching it to the engine and then putting it all back in together

Wouldn’t it be easier to disconnect the wiring harness from the computer? Pretty sure the computers are on the passenger side under them plastic covers
That’s what I do when I remove this engines, way easier instead of unplugging every connector.
More of personal choice. Can unplug everything in couple minutes.
mine is auto. how do you un screw the trans fron the engine... how the trans converter is bolt to the crank flywheel..stuff..
I have a 128i, Wanna take the engine out, to change all seals, gaskets, and hopefully fix the idle rattle.noise... any tips. Links where I can get a master hose kit, plastics parts replace.

It’s easier to remove the loom from the fuse box and ecu that it plugs into
I never thought of that, interesting way to go about it
@@jake_spence saves digging the loom out from under the manifolds etc and makes it much easier to do out of the car

With my luck, all the connectors, plastic bits and exhaust systems are ready to fall apart or rusted to shit. There is no smooth sailing with salt exposed cars.
I’m bound to have those problems too.. except I’ve never lived in a winter environment which makes it even worse 🙁
