@@johnburns4017 Hi John , this would be considered a “Motown” record along with The Four Tops , The Temptations ,The Supremes , The Miracles , Marvin Gaye etc , very popular in nightclubs at the time.These tunes were readily available from record shops.Northern soul tunes were very rare and almost impossible to track down .Usually on very small independent record labels in the States and complete flops in terms of record sales.These were usually discovered by djs and collectors of rare soul music and played at mainly underground venues at all nighters.
