"But if you leave me a hundred times, a hundred times I'll take you back".. This song will forever be a classic and the Isleys are ICONS..I still get chills listening to it.. Ronald is simply amazing, even now. R.I.P. Rudolph
How wonderfull. We would hear sometimes, just a snippet of a tune on the radio. The inspiration to save every last cent, so we could run after school to the local record bar. Hand over the earth metal in circles, and someone that you think is cooler than you. Because they are not wearing a school uniform, and they work in a record bar. Gives you a round piece of black plastic of magic. I hope you danced to it the first time you played it 😍
The intro lead first with the instrumentals to this song starting with the drums and then the strings is tight!! Then Ronald ( Mr Biggs) Isley knocks it out of the park with his smooth voice singing those classic lyrics. They rarely make music and write lyrics like that today in 2024. IMO!! This song is one of my all time favorites by the talented Isley Bros. IMO, this song is a CLASSIC!! RIP to all of the Isley Bruhs who have passed. BTW, it was a smart move financially and creative wise for the group to leave Motown and get from under Berry Gordy and start their own T Neck label. Also, we have seen the results of that move from Motown many times over with their great music and songs. After all, why stay when Gordy was focused primarily/mainly on the tall, tan, and talented Motown Money Making Temptations. Again it was a good move by the Isleys Bros to roll out of Motown and take control of their music and utilize their creative talents which would not have flourished under Gordy and Motown. IMO!! Frfr!! 🗣♊️👤Rising
This song ❤ after all these years 😊 still gets the emotions going 😊 fabulous group & songs Motown music 🎶 & Artists RIP & blessed to have been brought up playing such songs 😊
I'm 13 and love this music it just makes me feel happy and makes me feel like I was in the 60s,70s,80s, or just anywhere. My first music artists I discovered was Sam Cooke when I was 11 and i will nope stop at all
I was the same way at your age. In middle school, I'd call in and request my favorites on the " oldies" radio station so I could record them and make mix tapes. I still love it now at 45. 😊
A big time classic by the Isley Bros. IMO!! My all time favorite by them. Brings back MOTOWN and some good times that are now sadly: Gone With the Wind. Only thing left are my memories. Frfr!! As Tyrone Davis sang: 🗣🎙🎶If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time.🎶 🗣♊️👤Rising
I’ve been trying to understand the lyrics so I can google the name of this song. Took me forever to finally find it. I speak fluent English, but I can barely make out any words from the lyric.
The bass on this recording is all over the place. The vocals are spot on. The strings. The driving want to want to hear over and over again from that rhythm section. What a song to open one of Motown's greatest hits albums. 🎹♥️😂
Wow I've heard this song so many times, but didn't know or relise😂 it was the isley brother's..but any way, this is definitely a absolutely classic tune 😊 love ❤ from London.
One of the most underrated songs of all time that has stood the test of time and always will, forever.

@Raelene nobody I danced to it every time I played it and when it pops up on the radio I sing along and still remember every word!
I've been listening to The Isley Brothers since the '50s. I still love listening to all their music!
@ Nizam Taleb - Only been listening since the 70's but I still remember the first time I heard Summer Breeze and Harvest For the World - pure magic!!
Count me in since the 60's! Still fightin' the power! Well, maybe not fighting, but I can still shuffle down the street with a smile

They have from me! I used to own “The Supremes Sing Holland-Dozier-Holland.” Gazillion years ago and three thousand miles away. Wish I still had it.

Damn, the bass guitarist is Outstanding, hitting those low bass notes with perfection and keeping perfect timing for All.

Bobby I hear you, the bass guitarist is either Jameson or Babbitt.
@@Madminute1968 It's a very young bootsy collins, he was 7 on this track ya'll

Anyone remember the Sunday 5pm evening disco at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich? This was the signature tune. Era 1969-1972.
