The Cameo-Parkway group from Philadelphia best known for doo-wop classics "So In Love", "Somewhere", and "Wonderful, Wonderful" tries their hand at Motown sounding soul. It did chart briefly on Billboard and Cash Box, but it's not played as often today as "So In Love." Too bad, it's a pretty good soul song. Beatlemania was invading the charts at the time this song charted in 1964, and Detroit Motown was outselling the Cameo-Parkway recordings by that time, though C-P did survive until January 1968, when Allen Klein bought the master tapes. The Tymes did chart two more times with "People" on Columbia Records in 1968 and "You Little Trustmaker" for RCA Victor in 1976.
Killer track, top top dancer.
